"Sans attendre" album - Official Topic

Right, I know it's pointless but I also gave my opinion on that, here it is.
"No new stuff on the collector's edition of "Sans Attendre"? Sorry, but I'm not gonna buy it just to get a crappy notebook. We all love Celine, but we're not idiots, you know that, right?
P.S. One quick word to Sony (or whoever made that decision) - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER WHEN IT COMES TO CELINE'S CAREER BECAUSE YOU SOMETIMES ACT LIKE A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT AMATEURS."

I love ''Sans Attendre'' and I really enjoyed this era, but now it seems that they want to kill it for me.

Their first mistake was the release of ''Le Miracle'' as a single. She performed it like 4 times in France, while the album was @ #1 and still the song ''managed'' to peak @ a pathetic #77. I'm sure other tracks could have done better than that, especially ''Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour'' and ''Si je n'ai rien de toi''. Just imagine Celine perfoming these songs about 4 times! They could definitely have an impact. Second mistake in a row was the release of ''Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour'', a song that does NOT represent the album's mood in the slightest. They made it even worse when they changed the arrangements of the song to make it sound like any other of her pop ballads. No wonder it flopped so bad. :pinch:

And right now, they completely waste the opportunity to give us an interesting release. Who cares about a notebook? :wtf:

NOBODY will buy this new edition, it will do NOTHING for the album sales. Incompetence at its worst form.

Maybe this edition is not the collectors edition we are thinking of?

Celinedion.com speak about a re release of the deluxe version, not abput a collectors edition. So a notebook instead of the calender.

And because they say the original deluxe edition will be available at the boutique, IF I understand it right you can't buy the original one anymore in France Belgium and Switzerland when this release comes out. And i don't think they ill replace a real collectora edition (which moatly is much more expensive) with a standard release. Maybe this one is coming out now to replace the calender in the future (which is because of the year 2013 a thing for a while) and maybe the informatipn of the real collectors edition will follow soon.

I will not put the blame on Sony alone. Celine seems to make 1 step forward and then 2 steps back. Seems she has to offer things but NEVER reaches her full potential.

Yes. And this album has so much potential. Not only it's personal, but it is also commercialized as f***, it could sell even more.

The release date they had was clear, the 13th of May too. What other edition could be then? Deluxe or Collector, it was clearly a mistake in the concept, they probably meant that it would be another release of the deluxe edition we know, but Sony and Céline's team call whatever crap they put out a "collector" thing :rolleyes:

If Sony executives think that the Celine notebook (what a foolish idea!) is enough of an incentive for us to buy the album once again, then they're probably in for some sort of a reality check (and I'm sure they won't like it).

The official just posted this about the rerelease of "Sans attendre"

"Re-Release of ‘Sans attendre – Deluxe Edition’

Fans in France, Belgium and Switzerland will soon be able to discover a new version of ‘Sans Attendre Deluxe Edition’ The new edition, will be released on May 13 and includes a lovely notebook (replacing the desktop calendar). The original edition is still available at The Boutique. ‘Sans attendre’ was a huge success selling more than a million copies worldwide!"

I can see the notebook using exactly all the pictures from the calendar, but just removing the date... No surprising at all

It's cheap! They don't have to reprint booklets and/or cds!

Just replace the old calendar (which they had to do anyway!) and ad the "NEW collectors edition" sticker.

And don't be too surprised if the Boutique comes soon promoting the Sans Attendre notebook as the star product of their amazing catalogue during this spring at a versatile discount price...

I have to admit I was never very much into collecting Celine stuff, other than her albums of course, but with such a nice versatile water bottle I could quickly change my mind. :-D Irresistible offer!

i don't care for collector's edition of anything... the album was good, that's enough for me, no need for me to buy a cd that doesn't have new music to offer. Even From Celine Dion. If you have money to spend , buy something from an other artist, it is not so hard to find. Listen to Celine, There's other singers, but no other mother for her childs....It is in time like this taht you can show that you understand the message... :giggle:

oooh now i get it!!! They sold more than 1 million copies, so now they need to relax and be happy and counting their money...

yeah why bother, why not release a real new edition with 2 more songs, an dvd of some special, the videoclips, and a perfume sample and 2 new singles? 1 new made video, and 1 taken from a tv special "attendre" is a good 4th single...

talking about perfume, that's been a while ago?

oh no wait! let's release the album with a lovely freaking notebook instead of that crappy calendar. And when we release it, then we will also release the video for the 3rd single wich then has completely dissapeared from the charts, so that's a waste of money and time...

and then we will do a happy dance, because we sold still more than 1 million copies... why try to selll 2 million... why bother...
