Yeah I don't think it will be available on iTunes US. I preordered the deluxe a couple weeks ago and it came in the mail today!

Just got in my car and drove around listening to Sans Attendre. This entire time, I've only listened to YouTube leaks or through my iPhone speakers. The cd was SO much better!

Moi quand je pleure is probably musically the most interesting track on the album.

After I gave it a second try, I agree...kind of. I admit that we have this variety of low & high notes but my overall impression is still about something that repeats and repeats...until you finally get a little tired of it. But after I listened to the whole album one more time I liked it even more. I think now I can give it 7.5/10.

Just listened to the whole thing. OK let me get this out the way. I HATED Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour. It will probably work well live at stadiums (if she ever decides to use it) but I won't be listening to it again in the foreseeable future.

 

I LOVE the old songs (as in, the first ones she received in 2008) which are Attendre, Moi Quand Je Pleure, and Si Je N'ai Rien de Toi. LOVED THESE. Also Le Miracle was happy and x-massy so no complaints here!

 

The duets were very good, thoroughly enjoyed them. They're just not my favorite songs in the album. The rest of the album was forgettable, but maybe that's because I only gave it the one listen.

Now I've listened to it a loooot. So I think I can finally give my opinion

 

Parler á mon Père: I still like this song very much, and I love to sing along with it (even though I don't speak French fluently) There are some lovely harmonies, and I really like the change of key after the second couplet.

Le Miracle: Instant happiness song!! Another sing-along-song, I love it

Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour: I can understand why some of you love this song, I can understand why some of you hate this song. I am somewhere in between, I think. The chorus is a little too monotonous, and I don't really feel it fits the atmosphere of the album in its entirety.

L'Amour Peut Prendre Froid: Is it just me, or does every man on this album sound exactly the same? I have never heard of them to be honest.. But I like the melody of the refrain. Verses are a little boring.

Attendre: Not a real highlight for me, it is a good song.

Une Chance Qu'on S'a: Love. It. I love the over the top romance and drama, and it's just too damn cute.

La Mer Et l'Enfant: Not my thing. I like the concept, I like the french-like style, but it didn't really succeed if you ask me. It could've been better.

Moi Quand Je Pleure: I really detest the melody, to be honest. Not my thing either. Though the end is unexpected and fun

Celle Qui M'a Tout Appris: Not a highlight either, not bad, but not amazing.

Je N'ai Pas Besoin D'Amour: I lóóóve the chorus! I agree with a lot of you the chorus should've been repeated at least one time, but maybe it keeps its magic this way. I love the 'tu n'est pas l'amour de ma vie, tu es la vie de mon amour'. Gorgeous.

Si Je N'ai Rien De Toi: I think the verses are a little boring, but the chorus and the overall feeling of the song still make it an awesome song.

Que Toi Au Monde: this song is really beautiful! I like it that Céline sings more in her head voice on this album, we all know she can belt out very high notes, but I'm really happy her head voice is still as beautiful <3 Love it.

Tant de Temps: Boring.. And I don't like the guy's voice, every note at the beginning of a verse he sings is just a little off or something, I can't put my finger on it. I don't like this one :S

Les Petits Pieds de Léa: This is maybe the most moving song I have ever heard her sing. Really.. beautiful. Brilliant lyrics.

Ne Me Quitte Pas: I don't know if I'm the only Jacques Brel-fan on this forum, but I'm the you-can't-touch-Jacques-Brel-songs-kind. He was one of the best songwriters and he sings this song so vulnerable, he doses his emotions so beautifully.. and no one can ever touch that. That they changed 'reine' to 'roi' is ridiculous. I don't dislike her version, I just don't like people touching this song, so I skip this one. She makes it too dramatic, for me. The song actually contains 'No, I won't cry anymore' but she misses that somehow.. :S

Les Jours Comme Ça: Again, chorus is awesome, verses are so-so. I don't really like her voice on this one.. but it's a fun song.

 

Overall, a really good album, she hasn't let me down. I like the drawings, though it would've been nice to have at least one picture of her in the booklet. But on the other hand, it's good they stick to their concept.

The album is now available to listen to on Spotify (I was a bit shocked to find out coz the release date here is tomorrow, don't know when it was made available but I noticed it tonight).

 

The album has all tracks (including the bonus tracks) even though it doesn't say that it's the deluxe version. There's one unavailable track though - the Hallyday duet. Does anyone know why it is so?

Today, I got mine too (both standard and deluxe).

 

The album itself is AWESOME, the only songs I, let's say 'love less', are the Hallyday duet and "Les petits pieds de Léa", but I'm sure they'll grow on me soon.

 

Plus, I've decided to order six more albums (standard ones, they're quite cheap ) and I'll give them to my friends as an early Christmas gift (they're mostly casual fans of Celine, they do like Celine and her voice but aren't as crazy about her as me).

 

It'd be a great way of "converting" them into something more than just casual fans of Celine, hopefully.

Got my copy of the Canadian Deluxe Edition today and there's an error in the bonus 2013 calendar. The month of December follows the month of July. LOL

 

Anybody else have that?
