I can't believe some people care and worry about irrlevant things like: "Celine singing LIVE ou LIPPING"....They are such vain people... Don't they have anything better to worry about??? I know we, as Celine's fans, should care about her career and etc... butttttttttttt, some people here are getting SOO ANGRY for such a stupid, vain, futile thing....

 

I can't see how Celine singing LIVE OR LIPPING can make a difference in somebody's life.... does it get your bills paid? Or your job done?? Of course it doesn't... It is all about Celine's career, and if she doesn't care, if she is happy... come on, why should we care about it???? Even get stressed for that....

 

Come on people... life is already a hard journey, don't make it worse...not for "tiny" details....

Wow. I just spent like 2 hours reading through this thread and I really don`t know what to say. I`m just as disappointed as many of you, it sucks and I don`t know the reasons behind it. I`m not excusing her, but to compare her to Britney Spears or to say that you would slap her? That`s going too far and that is so disrespectful. To me, those people aren`t real fans. On the other hand I don`t believe that Celine could do no wrong in her career and that she is perfect. I believe Celine wants to hear fans with real objective opinions, good, bad or otherwise. This way she can make the changes she needs to please the public or not. I don`t think its fair to ostracize people for having different opinions either. If some people here do not want to be fans anymore because of this its thier choice. Me? Do I care if she sings live or not? of course. I always prefer her live performances. But even if she lips she still puts on a great show! She is a wonderful entertainer. I have tickets to 3 shows on tour and I`m really psyched! I really doubt the whole show will be lipped, but I don`t think it`ll be entirely live either. That`s ok! Just to be there and see her peforming and having a good time is a pretty good deal to me. You can even see it in the posts of some of the folks who were AT the taping. They said she was great! She looked hot and she was in a great mood. At least she sang a couple of songs live right? Plus we`ll get to see a new remix! How exciting is that? So that was my 2 cents.

EOM was not like "An Audience with... Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas was on his keyboard and mic, stage left, doing his thing, Celine was dancing around, though seemingly un-choreographed. There were 4 dancers, who were dancing with themselves, and kinda translating the song into movements. The girls were working there stuff, showing off, then the guys would do some cool stuff, then the girls would kinda flaunt and tease the boys... it was cute, sexy and fun. Celine's moves were a little off, and you could tell she wasn't fully prepared to lip sync that song... she messed up the most during this number. The end of the song was more music than anything, maybe the last 20 seconds or so, and she was just dancing funky and kinda awkward. The outro, where she thanked Will.I.Am was kinda weird, too. She re-did the entire number and messed up on keeping in sync with the track's vocals again, but the 2nd outro was better. Will.I.Am's presence there was kinda forced. He didn't seem into it, but then again he had just broken his foot. Maybe he was on Vicodin. LOL

 

It would be awesome to be able to buy/download that remix. In my opinion, the BEST remix of a Celine song. The remixes in the past always were silly/too weird [like a MHWGO remix?! c'mon! lol] This one was better than the TTWII remixes... Will.I.Am did a good job.

I thought about running around the building with the folks sitting around me to try to get a glipse of her, etc. But then I pictured myself going too nuts/passing out/crying like a baby/loosing control and peeing myself, etc, etc etc, so we just went to the car. LOL Then I thought I could scream "I hope you're taking care of yourself and are feeling well, cuz lip syncing isn't cool" LOL

 

My two cents: We're her fans for a reason; whatever that reason is, we have all found something in her work/art/voice that we can connect with. We are all of a similar breed of people, and when it comes down to it, I think we're a special bunch of folks. After all, none of us have gone on youtube screaming "Leave Celine Alone!!!" LOL

The night was insanely great. I'll tell you right now, from the sound of the audience's cheers, screams of adoration and countless standing ovations, they didn't give a rat's #ss that she was lipping. The songs she did sing live were phenomenal - her voice was in top shape Saturday night. Can't wait to post a video about it!

Will.I.Am's part was this simple: speaking "Eyes on Her" or some other three word statement, repeatedly... nothing more than that, and it was kinda frequent. It was kinda cool...

 

Im hoping it makes it's way to the airwaves. It had the most potential to played at a club or on the radio...

Did you know that Malu and I got to our airplane exactly the minute that they were about to shut the doors? The departure time was 12:35PM, and we got to the door at 12:34! Anyway, for cheesiness's sake, I wanted to give you a big hug and to say "see you soon," but you were no where in sight after Malu and I took off to get our boarding passes!

 

Anyway, good times! I was hoping most that you would have a great time during this trip - and I'm smiling because I know you certainly did. Thanks for experiencing it with me.

Normally, the Producers of a CD will have artists lip-synch songs from that CD for a special that is trying to sell that CD in particular. The reason being that they want the people at home who may be buying the CD to hear the track the way that they will hear it when they buy the CD. It makes sense to me. You'll notice on many Celine specials (TCOML, TAST, ATW) that the new CD songs are lip-synched and the old tracks are sung live. ANDHC was the rare exception where everything was live.

 

So no worries. She will sing live when she is on tour. She loves singing for people - I'm sure she is as annoyed with the lip-synching as with everyone else but it's just part of the business, sadly.

The reason being that they want the people at home who may be buying the CD to hear the track the way that they will hear it when they buy the CD. It makes sense to me.
