Cambroneroj Posted January 14, 2008 at 09:35 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 09:35 PM yeah the list its right. Oh no rdmh was lipped and the guy was will .I.m I think Just to let you guys know, RDMH was absolutely live! It had to be because the audio, music and everything completely went out with about 45 seconds of the song to go. It went out and Celine had stopped...she didn't continue to "lip" as you guys say she did. If she was "lipping" she would have continued beyond the song and it would have been completely obvious! Yes, the majority of it was lipped, but there were live songs as well. I really can't believe majority of you can even sit there and call yourself a fan with how negatively your talking about this show. I was there tonight as well and let me tell you.. i could careless if she lip sang or sang live. All i cared about was that celine was performing her #ss off PERIOD. You act as if she is some new singer trying to prove a point. SHe has been doing this since she was 12 years old... she has NOTHING to prove anymore. It is obvious she can sing. We've watched her record the songs, we've watched her do rehersals... what more do you need from this woman? Her job is to entertain.. and if you ask me..she OVER DELIVERS in entertainment every single time she performs. Towards the end of the tonight.. after being on stage for 3 hours.. she was STILL making sure the AUDIENCE was doing well.. cracking jokes left and right... working her #ss off to make it a great show. So she lipped majority of the songs. As if she's never sang those songs live in her entire life? COME ON!... If everyone is entitled to complain about tonight.. then i am entitled to complain about you all complaining. I actually feel horrible to think that her people may read these posts. It just seriously baffles my mind. She is a human being. She is an entertainer. If she came on stage and just sat there and didnt talk to anyone and liped the songs and walked off stage.. then ok.. i get it. She was hilarious tonight and just seeing her in person is enough for me. Whatever... these rude posts are just so baffling and seriously so ridiculous. I can't even believe a celine dion fan place would begin to compare her to britney spears too of all people.. WOW. I can't even say anything more.. im done. AMEN to that...you guys should be ashamed! Celine was nice enough to invite us to this special. You shouldn't have gone then if you can't handle it...shame on you to even consider yourself a fan! RDMH was not live and i will bet everything i have that it was not LIVE! it was the exact same audio from the DVD. I am not ashamed at all to talk about the show, Sarah did you see the line for the seat fillers? it was tripple the size of the team Celine line. They had to fill that theater somehow either with teamceline members or people from seatfillers.com i pay $25 a year to enter this kind of contest and trust me it did not cost much on celines team to make this happen, to have all of us teamceline members attend the show. They make way too much money from us fans and this is the least they could do, invite us to show. I am a Celine Dion fan and i will always be one and i will always notice if she lipsynch songs or not. Quote

lindsey22 Posted January 14, 2008 at 09:48 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 09:48 PM Celine is probably thinking these days people are more focusing more on sexy and hot looks and appearances than the actual singing. So Celine made sure she looked cute and hot and didnt focus so much on the singing. And I hate to break it to you but Celine doesn't care anymore. she will do whatever's easier. She is more pre-occupied with RC more than concert or tour. And i am telling you now. A good portion of the World Tour WILL BE LIPPED. In fact they will use the same tracks from A NEw Day format. Because they think that no one will notice. Its not that Rene doesn't care. Its a combination if things. Rene doesn't understand that the internet revolutution and how eveything is disected and inspected these days, he doesn't understand that fans use software and equalizers to compare and align tracks and can compare any 2 tracks or any numbers of tracks. He is kind if stuck in the 90's. I dont think they realize that alot of the fans know that her performances are not live. I honestly dont think he does, and as for Celine she doesn't even think of such things. and furthermore Celine simply DOESN'T CARE. When will people get that. She will focus on RC, and laugh off anything and play cutesy wootsey Celine. and then you will all say how cute she is and then forgive her. Nothing will change. her mind is somewhere else (motherhood RC)and she unfortunately is doing the tour for the money it seems. I can tell you right now the tour won't be much of a departure from A new DayI can guarentee you there will be the usual medley , IACBTMN, BYLM, TLYM etc, and there WILL be the unavoidable finale of MHWGO. And as long as fans keep going 50 or 60 or 100 times to her performances she and rene will think everything is fine and dandy Can you blame them. Quote

It was funny because one of the directors at the taping came out to talk about the song order. As he mentioned that there were going to be a certain amount of scenes, he mentioned that there will be an ending song. And he remarked "... and Gee, I want you to guess what it is!" fa_na_tic Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:06 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:06 PM wow......I'm exhausted after reading all the posts on this topic! Let me just catch my breath (eyes). First of all, to Jose for all the live updates ! Thanks to all who were there and gave us their reviews ! Another thank you for the recording of EOM and Something ! Now, about the lipping, I have to say I am disappointed like most of you are. At first I thought of making excuses for this, but then I stopped because there really isn't an excuse for this. There most certainly is a reason for this constant lipping, unfortunately we don't know it, but there isn't an excuse. For those who said that her performance or her ability to entertain is enough for them, well lucky you. But the reason I became a Celine fan is because of her VOICE and she became the superstar that she is because of her VOICE. She is a singer and singers sing. "She doesn't have anything to prove anymore" others said, but it shouldn't be about proving something, it should be about loving what you do (and that is sing) which she says she does, so do it! I do get that she's more preocupied with RC. It's normal. But for crying out loud, SING woman, you really can do it! I'm also disappointed that she didn't sing more songs from TC. The album is really good and this would have been a great chance to get those songs out there. On the D'elles special she sang a lot of songs from that album, but here it seems that the older hits were the priority. Well, I'm excited to hear the new EOM version! Someone (sorry I don't remember who, there were soooo many posts) said that all of this is silly to worry and debate about, that there are more important things like bills etc. I do agree that there are much more important things in the world to worry about and discuss, but I thought that this was a Celine Dion forum and thread, so I'm guessing the topic is Celine, right? Oh boy, I wrote too much and somehow I still have the feeling that I left something out. Quote http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/7933/celinemunichgifgl6.gif Never forget Munich June 22nd 08 !! CSCfan Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:09 PM Author Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:09 PM CBS offers primetime music specialsCeline Dion, Garth Brooks head to TV By JOSEF ADALIAN Music specials haven't fared well in primetime lately, but that's not stopping CBS from tuning up a pair of hours toplined by Celine Dion and Garth Brooks. Dion will star in "Celine Dion: That's Just the Woman in Me," a mix of greatest hits and new duets from her current album. Josh Groban and Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am will guest on the special, which lensed Saturday at L.A.'s Wiltern Theatre. CBS has sloted the Dion special -- the singer's first since wrapping up her five-year stand in Las Vegas -- for Feb. 15 at 9 p.m. On Jan. 25, Brooks will headline "Garth Brooks: Live in LA!," which will chronicle the first of Brooks' planned five concerts over two days. Special will originate live from the Staples Center, with CBS airing the hour at 9 p.m. With the WGA strike putting a premium on original programming, Eye seems to have decided to ignore the recent ratings performances for concert specials. It's not too much of a gamble, however, given the fact that Dion and Brooks both fit squarely in the CBS demo. [Variety] CBS to Air Dion, Brooks Concert Specials John Consoli JANUARY 14, 2008 - To fill the void of fresh scripted programming during the Writers Guild of America strike, CBS will be airing a pair of concert specials later this month and in February. The network will air a Garth Brooks concert from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday night, Jan. 25, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and a Celine Dion concert from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday night, Feb. 15 from the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. The Brooks concert will be a live portion of his opening night show at Staples. During the telecast, viewers will have the opportunity to contribute to the Southern California 2008 Fire Intervention Relief Effort. The Dion concert was taped on Jan. 12 before a live audience to be shown on Feb. 15. During the concert to be aired, she will answer audience questions. It will be her first concert since ending her five-year appearance in Las Vegas, and it will be her third concert to air on CBS. Love, Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:33 PM Posted January 14, 2008 at 10:33 PM (edited) EYES ON ME Just to make it clear: Celine DID NOT record a new version of "Eyes on Me." It was a remixed version, with added beats, added rhythms, and additional vocals from Will-I-Am. The performance had LIVING people dancing and rockin' but, but in terms of voice - it was totally pre-recorded. SOMETHING Olivia Harrison IS NOT Joe Walsh's wife. "Something" is a Beatles song. Olivia Harrison is the wife of the Late-George Harrison. Celine's performance was a tribute to her, the Beatles, and Rene-Charles. There was a spotlight on Olivia the whole time during the performance, and Celine came down to give her a huge hug! It was fitting to have Joe Walsh from The Eagles perform with Celine, because The Eagles band formed in Los Angeles. His rock guitar solo was absolutely beautiful. She's not doing it for the money. She has enough money right now to live lavishly for the rest of her life. Obviously RC is her number one priority but thats common for EVERY mom. Every mom perfers their son over their job. Singing for her now is just for fun, and I think we'll see that on tour and have a great time. And let me add to that. Watch her lipped performance...then watch her live performances. She looks more passionate and into the the song when its live and kind of empty in the face when its not. I don't think lip syncing is always by choice of the artist. Don't people on here have connections with her team? Can't we just ask why they made that decision to clear this mess right up! I don't see how Celine singing LIVE or LIPPING can make a difference in somebody's life....
