stillwater Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:10 AM Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:10 AM Honestly, not surprised at all! Fast shaping up to be one disappointing comeback album from Celine on the Billboard charts, and her third English cd in a row (the other two being Miracle & One Heart) which considerably undersold in the US!! Again....she's not in TOP 50 on Billboard for this week Quote

tal-sh2 Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:04 PM Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:04 PM People, Celine is one of your favorites artists, right? So you can say that nothing is impossible to her! I so hope that she will reach 10M, Lol! Quote "These walls keep a secret, That only we know..."http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u287/bambaplanet/G49272_b.jpgSorry for my English.
Black Kitten Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:11 PM Posted February 6, 2008 at 02:11 PM yes we do love celine dion. but we must understand that we're not in the 90's and cds are not selling well now and celine is a cd artist and no way a download artist. TC selling 10M is crazy, 7M is impossible, and 5M is lucky for her. everybody wants celine to sell 10, who wouldn't want that? but with sony? no single hit? we're dreaming of an impossible dream.lol i just hope this album will sell at least 4-5M. if it does, it's a success. celbabs Posted February 6, 2008 at 09:09 PM Posted February 6, 2008 at 09:09 PM I have a question that is not meant to be nasty but a legitimite question. Why as Celine fans do we care how her albums sell? I am a HUGE Celine fan - have been since early 1992 - but I couldn't care less whether she sells a ton of albums or not. I'm not a fan because she sells a lot of CD's. I'm a fan because I like to put her CD in the stereo and listen to her sing. Whether she sells 10M or just 10 copies, it makes no difference to me - I enjoy her voice just the same. I'm just actually curious about the thought process of people who do care about it. Quote
ahmed Posted February 6, 2008 at 09:14 PM Posted February 6, 2008 at 09:14 PM the album will do well next week Quote

There are artists that I don't like and nothing's going to change how I feel. Lots of people only like people who write their own songs for example. That's just a personal decision on their behalf. I'm just actually curious about the thought process of people who do care about it.i'm with you. my concern is just how a celine dion album will move me. i listen to her because it makes me happy everytime i hear her voice. if our concern is the sales, what if TC is a huge flop and just sold 100,000 worldwide? we'll turn our back and find a hot selling artist and leave celine alone? that's not our business to count her weekly sales. if her albums sold truckloads of copies, that's just a bonus for the pride of the fans. quantity vs. quality. numbers can be decieveing. there are a LOT of albums that performs poorly on the charts but, the album is very good. RLAAMJR. Posted February 7, 2008 at 03:35 AM Posted February 7, 2008 at 03:35 AM To my other favorite singers, I don't really care much especially if I think they really can't like Conner Reeves, Human Nature, etc. but I still would prefer their albums selling more more 'cos that would also mean many/more people like/love it, more successful and more popular. In the case of Celine Dion, since she already sold a lot, I really want her albums to sell well still. If she can do it before, she can do it still. I know that it's the quality that matters most. But I wanted Celine to become the best-selling female singer for a fact that she's got a beautiful voice and she has a chance to become the best-selling female singer. Only Celine and Mariah has the chance to oversell Madonna. If Celine won't sell much, she'll still be my favorite female singer. Album sales matters to me 'cos that will also measure how strong a singer is in the music industry. And i agree with CelionDion : "Her chart success doesn't make me love her more or less but I want her to do well in the charts because that way more people will listen to her music. Her songs deserve to be heard by everyone " Quote

VinnyT. Posted February 7, 2008 at 04:17 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 04:17 PM It's the end for most of them, wanna talk about these debuts?: Sheryl Crow's Detours, her new album for A&M and first of original material since 2005's Wildflower, is on target for just around 85-90k, which will be good enough for #2. The personal disc deals with the singer-songwriter's bout with cancer, her new adopted son and the aftermath of her tabloid breakup with Lance Armstrong. Lenny Kravitz is bringing the Love Revolution to the charts with his new Virgin album, which looks like it'll be in the 60-70k range, Quote For Exclusive News "Like Us" on Facebook http://i44.tinypic.com/vfjwad.jpg click on the banner

tal-sh2 Posted February 7, 2008 at 08:13 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 08:13 PM People, I hate you. What's that optimistic? If the CBS was not for more sales, they was not making it.With all the love for Celine to singing, I don't think that in that period she was done it only for fun. It WILL help. And that's the end of story.Your Un-optimistic is killing me. William2005 Posted February 7, 2008 at 09:15 PM Posted February 7, 2008 at 09:15 PM ^^^ Of Course the special will increase album sales, but it will not bring it back into the top 20 IMO. Which is where it needs to be. Quote
