Note that Celine did heavy promo of TC appearing in well-watched shows like Ellen, Dancing With The Stars finale, Oprah, etc..and, to date, only managed to enjoy modest sales in the US. Appears like what started as one promising comeback project for Celine has turned into a mediocre outing in the league of One Heart & Miracle!

^^^ Of Course the special will increase album sales, but it will not bring it back into the top 20 IMO. Which is where it needs to be.

But 10 million albums... Hmmm.... Oh well, It's just february and there's still 10 more months for this year. I still think she may be able to reach 10 M. But 5 million is a 100% sure.

Be realistic, dude! Even with her huge massive tour, Celine may not be able to sell 10 million copies in a single year. The 80s-90s period is gone and sales aren't gonna be like that ever again. But if she does, great!!

But who cares... we all know Taking Chances is an impressive album and Celine loved making it and we loved listening to it. That is it.

And if you still think that it's gonna sell over 10 million copies, fine... but please don't keep repeating your posts always. It's just plain ANNOYING :glare:

First, let Taking Chances sell over 10 million copies, then you pop-up ur champagne bottles and put up a huge banner declaring that. Until that, just dont repeat the same annoying post over and over again. You're just making a fool out of yourself. -_-

It's been ages since Celine had a top hit single in the US! (I'm Your Angel with R. Kelly?) And based on TC's lacklustre chart performance recently, and the way Sony handles her, it's difficult to be optimistic that anything would change!

I don't find it hard though. Even if Celine's TC album is not doing that well lately, it will continue to sell because of the world tour.

how i wish the tour will help the sales. cause everytime i look at what happened to mariah carey's charmbracelet and gwen stefani's the sweet escape, the tour will not do any good to boost the album. mariah's album doesn't include a single hit, the album sold 4M just because it is a MARIAH CAREY album. in gwen's case, her album is carrying a #2 US hit, effective enough to sell, plus the world tour, and gwen stefani is quite big, but it was a flop.

it's clear that it is the reviews that affects the album sales.

for me, imho, it's no way a flop. know why? look:

no single hit

less than 3 months in the market

many countries certified the album with multi platinum, platinum and gold

brit's blackout was never considered a flop though it sold less than TC and it has 2 hits

2.5M with no hits at all, is not a flop. it's a slow seller. never a FLOP. :bye1:
