Taking Chances did not re-enter the Billboard 200 this week. I still believe it can happen next week because Celine has 4 concerts in the current week and she will be on Oprah on Friday, singing Because you loved me in a duet. Fingers crossed.

I was in HMV today and seen that Madonnas album was available for £6, so I thought I would see what TC was, thinking it would be the same, I was shocked to find it was £16.....I was nearly sick. People just dont pay that for a Single Album anymore. Anyway, if they reduced the cost it may have got it back in the charts even at the high end

Hmmm.... I think there was much promotion for the Taking Chances album. There was Oprah show, advertisements, releasing the DVD, world tour concert, etc... It just didn't click. it''s not really because the promotion wasn't effective. I do believe that it has something to do with what single to release or perhaps the songs in Taking chances album are just not the type of songs most people would really be attracted to that they would buy the album. Or the music videos are not really that catchy.

 

 

I know the songs are good but are they great? hmmm... Are there really powerful songs in the album? All I know is that if there's gonna be at least one song that will really be a hit, I knwo Celine's album will sell more.

 

 

But the good thing somehow is that the album still managed to sell 3m despite of singles not really doing well on the charts. Thanks to the promotion. Without the world tour, I don't think TC album can reach 3million copies. maybe a little bit later.

Well there was a promotion at the beginning? but what after?

after TC nothing... Alone and Eyes one me were just songs played for a few times...

the promotion doesn't end before or after the launching the album it should be continued especially as the tour goes around the world

i think, its also because TC Tour didn't contain much songs from the album itself..look, how many songs from TC are there on the setlist? i think her concert even contain more covers than her songs...hehehe PEACE!

I personally think 2008 is a success for Celine, ATW re-entered the charts all over the world, TATST started to re-enter to the charts. I'm happy for celine
