I answered a question someone asked why are mariah's music club sales included in her certifications and celine's not, so basically you did not understand it from the beginning.

 

There is nothing musical about whistling and please don't take me for that, but take all the music professors and professionals everywhere.

 

As for being the best selling female artist of the 90 worldwide, that title goes to celine, who was the overall best selling artist of the 90s and this is based on actual sales, certifications and facts. mariah is a very close second though, especially due to her singles sales. That point was actually said by sony at the time when both were still on the same label. The release of all the way was actually the one that made that title go in celine's way.

 

I'm not sure about that.

 

Mariah's total range with whistles is A2-G#7 which means basically 5 octaves. and that G#7 was the live note, she never recorded it, so her range can't be wider.

 

I once tried to check out how big was it. And it was 5.2. But I found a YouTube video where it says it's G#2-G#7

it really is not another mariah vs celine topic. it started as a problem with certifications and what was the reason why mariah's certifications are almost complete while celine's aren't, so i had to explain some facts about the reasons for that, then Nikosn17 misunderstood the main reason and thought i was attacking mariah or something and so i had to defend myself. but that's all it is about

Well it's too early for the tour to have an impact, there were only 2 shows in Boston so far. We need a week where she has at least 4 shows and that may make an impact. Not sure but I think they do sell her cds at the shows and if so that may not impact direct sales reported to Soundscan.

Of course Taking Chances didnt re-enter the Billboard 200, she's only played 1 american city---Boston, we won't see any increase in sales until America becomes more saturated with the Tour---maybe by Mid Oct?
