Oh then we went back outside. And she signed stuff for us...and she was sweet but scared of the midget lady who I wanted to smack in the head....Steve it was your friend and she stepped on my foot to get into a buch and was screaming to celine and rene about some flowers and she was mental and Celine got in her car cos she was cold and the bodyguard handed her the stuff to sign! I would get in my car if some crazy woman was screaming at me like that! I did tell her to shut the F up though and told her she was scarying the crap outta celine! she then trampled on me to get out after she had stuff signed as well! Weirdo! I doubt she is on this forum but if she is.........you owe me a pair of shoes cos you scuffed my while climbing on top of me to push your way out you freak!

 

How where and when did you meet her after the show?- i stood there for ages and couldnt see her, i just saw a car go by and the paps said its celine and chased after it.

 

 

She didnt go out the front! She went out the back. Went round there saw her cars, waited about 20 mins and she came out smied talked a bit got in her car put the window down and then the bodyguards took our stuff for her to sign and then give bac to us! She was cold and tired and wanted to be in the car bless her. She signed everything and then drove off!

Weeelllll Im finally back to my own home haha! Jeeessus yesterday was SO much fun!

 

And a HUGE thankyou to Jane and Sophie, you made mine and my sisters night that much better :), and I really really appriecate that.

 

Seeing as it was my first Celine experience live, it was absolutly amazing, although I wish she didnt use playback, nether the less, It was still the best night of my life.

 

Just a quick note - I think Celine either wore this dress, Or something very similar that wasnt so open fronted...

I said to Sophie the day before that if I saw someone from the forum who I thought deserved to see it then I would let them join us in the front of the queue.

 

Brilliant find with that dress. It's almost exactly the same. Kiera's is a little paler, I think.

I have two curious thoughts:

- There was no red carpet for this event.

 

It was a TV show taping. Not an awards show or a ceremony of any kind. They don't have red carpets for this kind of stuff.

 

He's American :rolleyes: You know how they are... Everything needs to be BIG BIG BIG!

About being unavailable, maybe too many fans went there to complain and they decided to stop with it before it's too late! :giggle: I guess they're afraid of us! :sofunny:

Well it took me some time to find the article but I finally found it under Bizarre. :rolleyes:

 

Well I have no clue what me as a fan is supposed to say... coz I am a bit disapointed myself.

 

I'd respect her a bit more if she cancelled instead of lipping, if she had a vocal problem... But then again, I see the importance about her showing herslef out there doing promo and all at the moment... but still...

 

Oh well.

I'm actually pretty annoyed with the whole UK promo thing. She was the only one who mimed last night on the Divas show, even Girls Aloud were live!!!! Then the Baftas, the live French show with the mimed TC performance and now this. It's leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I had a text from a friend who is a Celine fan and said "why the hell is she miming if she's one of the best live singers". You know what he's right! If all this promo is gonna ruin her voice for the final A New Day...shows, well she shoudn't be doing it. The album should have been put back, then we would have got maybe live performances and maybe just maybe the November shows in Vegas would not have been cancelled because of the promo work

I think The Sun were justified in printing that article. She shouldn't have mimed. Nobody else has mimed through their "An Audience With" and it's a shame that Celine had to be the first person to do so. She should have just cancelled. People will say "You should be just happy she was in the UK" but nah... she's supposed to be a singer... She should sing or not bother at all.

I love her...I really and honestly truly do. She's got the best voice ever.

 

BUT...

 

Ok so, I am not from the UK, but from what I can gather this show was basically a show just for her. I think its in very bad taste to lip your own show. It looks as though this would be the time to showcase your gift. This is not saying she may be sick or have voice problems. If she does, she should tell someone, rather than letting her fans speculate. I like seeing her on tv whether she is live or not, but this isn't good for publicity.

 

Whether she wants to admit it or not, she is trying to prove she still has what it takes, after being in Vegas. Lipping your publicity shows isn't the way. Can't they see this just gives the haters more ammo?

 

I just hope when she does publicity in the US that it is all live, or they will hang her just like they did Ashlee Simpson. :confused:

Celine was so worth the (8 hour) queue in the wind tunnel outside the London Studios! The atmosphere was generally good although a few people started getting a bit moany as we neared the entrance time! My partner Jo and I queued in front of Kevin and his partner who were lovely and mad the time pass much quicker! (Kevin if you see this I didn't get your email so please PM me)

Celine was on good form and humble as ever - I was particularly pleased when she requested that they turn up the air con for us as it was so hot in there!

 

A great night out!

Ah yeah....

 

I forgot about the air-con part. That was lovely :wub:

 

I also just remembered the part after the Aeroplane joke when the dude asked her if she owned her own jet and she said "No, but we umm...umm..."

And he says "Rent, borrow, charter..."

And she says "Yes, that one" :laugh: She couldn't remember the word :laugh:

Celine Dion has been criticised for miming during a TV show celebrating her career.

 

The singer lip-synched throughout An Audience With Celine Dion, despite the fact that guests including Sir Elton John and Kylie Minogue opted to sing live.

 

A source told The Sun: "It didn't wash with the audience, as it was clear she was miming. She should have taken a tip from one of her biggest hits - and thought twice."

 

Dion, who will end her record-breaking five-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on December 15, released new single 'Taking Chances' last week.

 

An Audience With Celine Dion airs this Christmas.

They were talking about the playback issue on Radio 1 this morning too. Typical that it was the most listened to show in the UK! Chris Moyles said he thought Celine was amazing (on Divas) until the producer told him she was singing playback and then everyone started wondering why she would have done that, saying she has a great voice and it was stupid to be faking her way through the show.

 

Oh well.

It's being picked up by news organisations across the world that she didn't sing live. Not good.

But she only sang a couple of songs from Taking Chances on the Audience With. That excuse won't wash in the UK.

I'm just a bit worried it might backfire on her and the public won't rush to buy tickets for the live shows.
