Celine to star in "An Audience with Celine Dion" on December 22nd - ITV1

DIVA PITCH ON ITV

The world's top female singing talent will be showcased in a spectacular ITV1 special this autumn.

 

Saturday Night Divas boasts a line-up of global superstars such as Celine Dion, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez.

 

British acts Girls Aloud, Leona Lewis, Jamelia and Natasha Bedingfield will also perform, as will R&B queen Chaka Khan.

 

The show, to be hosted by Myleene Klass, will mark the conclusion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and ITV music and events controller Guy Freeman said: "To get artists of this calibre from across the world on one show is a great coup."

 

Dion will also star in An Audience With Celine Dion on ITV1 and the channel has two other specials featuring Westlife and Kylie Minogue lined up for late autumn.

and if chances are good they might even release it on DVD later, like they did with some of the other An Audience... shows.

No it's musical from start to finish- featuring Celine as the main artist obviously and then with duetting partners coming out and joining her. She'll talk and joke with the audience and the audience will ask her questions. I wonder what UK celebs will be in the audience- that's the thing- it's all famous people in the audience. Also, what duets will she do and who will sing them with her!! Good god this is gonna be amazing!!!

Its usuall a bunch of celebs that are invited and its all rehearsed they asked questions and they gives answers then sings songs. The artist does usually talk about the songs. There is always someone who asks "Whats your favourite of all the songs?" so maybe she will sing something obscure....or more likely she will do all the hits plus new tracks as that will be what sony want.

 

It has been done quite a lot in the UK.

 

My favourite was An Audience With Lulu - not because it was her but because she had all these people on it on a Saturday night like Elton John, Enrique Iglesias and many others promoting her DUET's album. I laughed because Celine's ANDHC went in at number 1 and stayed there for weeks with hardly a whisper of promo and Lulu's duets only made number 4 with big TV specials and all this hype. lol - shows you how many fans Celine has...

I'm just really happy that they've realised they have to put in a wee bit of effort in the UK to get people to notice Celine- to say she's got a new album out. Most peple haven't heard from her since ANDHC and alot don't even know she's in Vegas doing a massively successful show. But this will change- you'll not miss her in the coming weeks when they start advertising these shows in the run up. When do you think she'll arrive in the Uk to record everything? XFactor won't be broadcast live at this stage will it? She's obviously devoted herself to ITV1. That means Parkinson too I'd say.

It will all be live. X Factor starts its live shows this week, where the public vote so it needs to be live.

 

An audience with is fantastic plus Uk fans get an insight into celine a little bit. tom Jones for instance done an audience with and had his first No1 Album in years.

 

You are pratically guaranteed a high charting album doing An Audience with...

The live xfactor shows start on saturday the 20th october...

Shes rumoured to be appearing on the show the following week, and she only arrives in the uk a few day before the show.

Parkinsons PA confirmed she won't be on his show, but that was a week or two ago and maybe things could change??

I e-mailed ITV and an audience with ... is invited audience only, but there must be a way of getting tickets if we e-mail someone incharge of the show. Does anyone know someone who works for audience relations for ITV? I was even thinking if we know what night it is being filmed we could trun up at the studios and ask for tickets at the last minute.

it sounds spectacular!! it will be such a gift for as fans (and great promo of course!)

No promo could be better really- this is sort of on a par with her CBS Specials in the US- they always get a big viewing audience and are popular- a whole hour of Celine. I wonder what balance of material from the new album and old stuff she'll sing. She'll have to do some classics (unfortunately). Imagine IDAN live though!!!

if so many artists r going to perform live with her it wont leave her time to sing alone. it's only 1 hour and with all the commercials it's probably 40 minutes so...no musical guests pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee
