It's a crap and v disappointing interview. Old pics- same boring story about how she wants a normal life. She even mentions tomatoes and how isn't cool or sexy. On the front it says "Why is Celine ready to give it all up?"- meaning her pampered life...i don't understand this. Why not- Celine Dion is back witha new sound. Or there's the Celine you know...why is it always goodbye, i want to drive RC to school? This is almost the exact same interview in 2001 Daily Mail for ANDHC. There are entire sentences exactly the same. Why did they pay someone to fly to interview her to tell us something we could have got off google in seconds...Husband-manager-12 yrs old-Eurovision Dublin... so disappointed. Not even a pic from TC or hardly a mention of it- certainly not even one of the songs are described. it says she's a plain and boring singer with mhwgo and TPOL as top weddings and funerals songs.

 

So very edgy. It's as if they're determined to make her dull as can be...saying how she can't drink in case she becomes an alocholic-OH BUT REVELATION- SHE SMOKED POT IN AMSTERDAM COS IT WAS LEGAL.

Why the hell didn't they mention the album or at least talk about her 'new sound'- that's why she was giving interviews i suppose. So what if she wants another baby?!! So do millions of women- it's really no big deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCREAM

"Just when you thought it was safe to go out, CELINE DION announces a tour. I'm not even goig to tell you what the dates are or how to get tickets because no self respecting bizarre reader would want to go any way."

 

We need to complain about this, I can beleive some made up B**ch can say this. Her name is Victoria Newton and I have never heard of her until she came to this rubbish paper. I normally love this section of the paper.

As a regular reader of this section I am rather shocked and disapointed that this comment was allowed to be printed. I am all for the Kylie love you give, but when Celine has flown over from Vegas to an astonishingly busy schedule....I think you could have found something a little more productive to say. She is one of the most successful artists of all time...can you not appreciate that? I distinctly remember you trying to stop the Crazy frog from beating Coldplay to the No.1 spot a while back...I was pleased that you seemed to support credible music....but now I have lost all respect for you. I know I am only one of 12 million readers, but I am a reader nonetheless...at least I know you won't be mentioning how many seconds it took Celine to sell out her shows.

This is quite accurate:

Do you have very little interest in music or celebrity, meaning that you don't know basic facts about some of the most famous people in the world?

Do you have little or no grasp of very basic fact-checking procedures or websites like Everyhit, Wikipedia and Google?

Do you switch allegiances at the drop of a hat and pick people to support and/or victimise on an absolute whim?

If all this sounds like you, and if you feel like working terrible hours so that someone else can take all the credit...

Hello, in today's paper I was disgusted to see one of the most unprofessional biased opinions in your newspaper. It was regarding the Celine Dion article she wrote about.

How exactly do you think this is suitable for printing? As a regular reader of your paper, I am saddened by this as I am a Celine Dion fan and would be very interested in knowing her tour dates.

 

Should I stop buying your newspaper because (as Ms. Newton had typed) "no self respecting bizarre reader would want to go any way".

 

Please find suitable action preferably an applogy by Ms Newton.

I've read the Daily Mail. That guy made it all sound like Celine is a puppet in Rene's hands... He's stupid. Thank God that at least he kept the part where Celine says she's the one controlling things at home. However, there's one piece of new info, at least for me: I did not know Celine smoked marijuana She says it was in Amsterdam and she went with her band into one of the bars and only did it cause she knew it was legal And felt nothing, so she never tried again. Also I didn't know there's a history of alchool addictions in Celine's family. She says that's why she's not drinking, she's afraid she'd become an addict... I don't know, to me it seem like that guy didn't understand what Celine said, or took things out of the context. Because we all know Celine likes to have a glass of good wine every now and then .

Anyway, just the fact that they used 10 year old photos says a lot about the journalistic quality of this paper.....

I totally agree with you! I don't understand! And I was thinking the same about these old pics. Why didn't they use new pics from the Taking Chances shooting?? And no interviewer talks about the new Celine, new sound... nothing...nothing... It's ridiculous!

Someone over at the Josh Groban forum who knew I liked Celine (I have a Celine Dion thread there) scanned the mag and PM'd it to me! Not perfect but it was sweet of her to do so.

I find the author's comments to be quite bizarre ... and biased. The author speaks as if Celine Dion has no talent, yet Celine is one of the most talented female artists in the world with an impeccable track record to prove it. Why the hatred?

 

Quite obviously, the author, Victoria Newton, is not a fan of Celine Dion. The author has the incredible audacity to indirectly suggest that a reader of Bizarre interested in going to see a Celine Dion concert would be degrading oneself. The author's egocentric style of writing is nauseating.

 

This article is a great discredit to your journal. It suggests that your journal is inept at harboring talented writers who can create exploratory story ideas, rather than use tactless, tasteless and insulting words of all kinds on wasted print.

hi i would like to make a complaint about the disgusting words printed in todays (sat 27th oct) issue of the sun, i am fond of the bizzare section and often find it both interesting and informative, i think the comment made about celine dion is disgraceful whether you like her music or not, no-one can deny the fact that she is the BIGGEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME, and as i bizzare read i WOULD like to know when her tour dates are and where i can get tickets.
