GoldenLeaf Posted October 29, 2007 at 08:14 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 08:14 PM Jesus people what does it matter! So Celine smoked pot once.....who cares. Hasnt everyone? I'd be worried if she tried it, like it and did it all the time. Allow the girl to try normal things like everyone else.Well, I never smoked pot and I don't think I'll try. Furthermore, I am a bit surprised that Celine tried once. Anyway, we haven't proves that she did. Quote

We have proved it because it was in the Daily Mail which was an interview which was OFFICIALLY sanctioned by Sony. They even told Darren that she would be in the newspaper on that specific date... He posted about it. It's why we knew to buy the paper that day. It's no big deal... She didn't break any laws. Like she said, she only did it because she knew it was legal there. It's not a huge shock, some of the most respected people in the world have tried it at some point or another... including Bill Clinton, of course he didn't inhale though. haha Edited October 29, 2007 at 08:36 PM by incognito Quote
celinefan1985 Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:07 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:07 PM It's like she wasn't even in London this week. Hardly any press, no paparazzi, nothing really. Why does the UK hate her so much? If I were her, I would not even bother (unless she gets a really big sales boost ). It will be quite different when she gets to France next week. Last time she was there for OCP, she was everywhere and the French were really appreciative of her visit. Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:19 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:19 PM she does it for her uk fans.... you should know that!!! We buy the albums, merchandise, packages to vegas, etc not the uk press!!! Quote
Hilda Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:22 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:22 PM plus she must love it if there less paparazzi Quote
Tal Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:25 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:25 PM The UK has a huge market for album sales. Thats why she went there. Quote I live my life like a runawayI hide my dreams in a special placeI'm waiting here for my prince to comeTo save me from the darkness...
Hilda Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:32 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:32 PM (edited) shell be number 1 with her album here - u know it - she always is. A new day has come had 1 appearence promo and about the same press coverage - that went number 1. The single diod quite well though, i dont think taking chances (the single that is) will do well at all. It will be a plesent surprise if it does. Edited October 29, 2007 at 09:32 PM by Hilda Quote
incognito Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:47 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 09:47 PM Why haven't the UK press gone crazy for her? Well because we have huge celebrities here all of the time. Many of them live here. Quote
delo3934 Posted October 29, 2007 at 10:06 PM Posted October 29, 2007 at 10:06 PM I'll believe it when she says it plain and cold right out of her mouth. I'm not going to trust a semi tabloid semi real newspaper where one person would be crazy enough to reveal something like that to the vast public that would likely not take to kindly, especially her older fans to this. Print media is how I'm going to make my living, thank you very much. And they aren't "crap". I don't read it and would never buy it because it goes against my political beliefs to purchase a fascist newspaper but that article/interview was not some piece of sensationalist trash. It was an organised interview, arranged with Celine's team. And trust me, if the pot smoking stuff were a lie then they would be sued for libel. But they won't be. Everyone in the industry knows about Rene and Celine's reputation for suing the crap out of newspapers and tabloids who print defamatory stories about her. The Daily Mail wouldn't risk it. Now if they [Daily Mail] had printed the "pot story" in their gossip column as a fluff-piece then I would have reservations about believing it. But it was mentioned in an officially sanctioned interview. So yeah... I trust it. But, whatever. It's no big deal. It's not created some huge controversy either way. Nobody really cares. And it's not going to be flagged up by the National Enquirer et al. because what she did was legal. It's not something that I would ever do but I don't judge Celine or think any less of her because she tried it. Edited October 29, 2007 at 10:31 PM by incognito Quote

djs31982 Posted October 30, 2007 at 01:19 AM Posted October 30, 2007 at 01:19 AM Oh goood grief. Some of you are acting like she has a drug problem or something. Who cares if she did it once (legally I might add)...I certainly don't. You live, you learn, you try new things once in a while...should she be any different? People aren't perfect. Once you start raising them up to a surreal level, something is going to come out and you (sometimes) will be let down. I love her just as much as ever. This doesn't change anything...but it did give me a good chuckle. GoldenLeaf Posted October 30, 2007 at 01:33 AM Posted October 30, 2007 at 01:33 AM (edited) I remember that she said in an interview in 2002 or 2003 that she has never smoked or taking drugs and she'd never tolerate to be in the same place of a smoker because she's afraid for her voice. There are many fans who I am sure can back me up on this. She said it made her "head spin" and that it wasn't something that she would do "every week" but that "once or twice a year... I need that" kind of release. Fact and spoken from her lips for us all to hear. Quote

I won't even try. What's the point? NO POINT. P.S. If you want to say, go ahead and say "a lot of people" - rather than "everybody" - to be grammatically and statistically correct. If celine had said in the interview that she had tried a cigar once in amsterdamthey would have proberly changed it to make it sound as if she had smoked pot!! I really honestly dont believe it!!Has any one read My Story My Dream!!When she talks about when she went on tour without rene....And she went out with her band and bodyguards she said she didnt want to drink alcoholbut they told her to loosen up so she spent the whole night drinkingtequila!!!Now that i believe because it was in her auto-biography!!! For some one who is amazingly over protective of her voiceand as some one stated suffers from asthmathe worse thing to do is SMOKE!! Celine Smoking!! NOWAY!!
