as for beauty and the beast - yeahh the author just made it up , he just took 3 of her signature songs

Actually she did the same in 1996 with "Falling Into You" (which was a cover) being the first single off the homonymous album.

I KNEW IT !!!! If that's true than I guessed it right . Personally, I don't mind, I like the song and I know that Celine's version will be ten times better but... why can't they release this as second or third single? Her first english single in a long time and it's a cover . I'm sure she'll get alot of negative publicity because of that fact no matter how succesfull the song might get to be. People will be all over her, how she's not creative etc... I don't think she needs that kind of bad press right before the release of a new album. And besides, her last english studio album (I don't consider Miracle as regular album) also had cover for her first single (I drove all night) so... I don't like this, too many covers for first singles .

As Ronny said, 50% of her English career are singles including some first singles. This song will do fine. She's keeping it real!

i think its a good choice and as i've already said i think that it might be the album's title.the fact that it is a cover is annoying but if i understood correctly the song was written last year, performed by its creators and it didn't get much publicity so no big harm

I like the song "Taking Chances" but I hate the girl singing it -Kara or whatever her name is,I think she sings really bad like she can't take a high note...and I think she's ugly too(not that it's important or matters)I know Celine will sing it so much better and with so much more feeling and heart into it...

Maybe they want to have a wow effect..."Wow the greatest singer of all time covers a song from our Kara and use it as the first single"

Oh, children, children. Falling Into you was her COMEBACK single after 3 years. And it was an unknown cover.

 

Taking Chances is her comeback single, more rocky this time, after also 3 years. It's a perfect title for the comeback single, perfect title for the album. You definitely see that she is READY and on fire willing to defend this song live before the audience, on various talk shows. It's truly remarkable in the sense Falling Into You was. It's the same concept, the same high quality approach.

 

I would be amazed if the album wouldn't be called Taking Chances now. It's SO Céline and every fan of hers should see that at once. This is her "Falling Into You" 11 years later. The same grand scheme and a nice little and CHARMING cover song to mark her come back. 100% Céline. There can be no more Céline than there already is.
