Possibly the uncoolest singer since Barbara Streisand to spread her voice to the four corners of the globe, Celine Dion, is gearing up to try her hand at hip hop with producer extraordinaire, Timbaland.

 

 

British newspaper The Mirror reports that Dion's album will feature R&B and hip hop as well as her epic balladry that we've all come to cringe at.

 

Word is songs will be penned by R. Kelly and Ne-Yo.

 

Timbaland in the past has worked with Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake and recently Nelly Furtado, boosting all of their careers into the stratosphere. Can he make Celine Dion cool?

sorry i've just noticed that plus i read one more thing on delta forum that it seems like this song is registred on APRA too with celine as performer

if celine is recording with all the producers and songwriters that were mentioned we r going to get 3 CD's not 1 .

i think many wont make the final cut this time which can be good - celine should choose only the best songs and i hope she'll have a variety of songs to choose from

No this is Rene's misson I believe to spread her fan bass to younger people which i think is a smart move.

This CD is going to have a Lot of R&B and Hip and you can quote me when this album comes out... Celine used to have a few upbeat songs and a lot of ballads on other CDs but I believe this CD will be the opposite ...A lot of up beat + R&B songs and a few ballads

No.I don't think so.

We are used to listen to Celine's ballad songs.

And we fans just can accept ballad with a little rock.

but for others she is still a ballad diva.

If she changes too much,people would be shocked...just like One Heart(it didn't hit no1).

Besides,too much RnB & Hip Hop songs are in the United States.

I don't think Celine would be much special than them and get No 1.

I'm not worried! I don't like HipHop nor RnB, but I love Celine Dion. And I'm sure she and Rene are smart enough to know that they need a new modern sound, but nothing that is going to turn away all of her fans. So yea I'm sure there may be a more modern sound to this new CD, but nothing so far out there that will turn away her current fans.
