Popular Post Davey84 Posted April 17, 2026 at 09:28 AM Popular Post Posted April 17, 2026 at 09:28 AM Ok so having heard Dansons a few times... I like the song. I can't say I love it yet. I think this is a song that would grow on you. It's not like EUS that got you hooked after the first time you heard it. The melody is something I need to get used to, because it doesn't flow as naturally. The song itself reminds me of something Patricia Kaas would record, and a crossing between Papillon and Sur le meme bateau. I don't think it will be the strongest song on the album and honestly.... on D'Eux, SISDA or 1F4T it would have been just an album track. But I understand that they want to capitalize on the Céline/JJ connection in France. So it makes sense this is her comeback single. And Dansons does offer a new sound to her French repertoire. That being said, I really love the tone of her voice. There’s a warmth and richness to it, that was lost after 2013. So I do think that the break of performing has helped getting that tone back. Céline sounds strong and powerful and it’s a world of difference from the Love Again recordings! I do hope that Céline feels strong and in control of her voice again. And I love the nod to Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers at the end! I wonder why they choose to add that! 10 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
Popular Post scarletpimpernel Posted April 17, 2026 at 09:33 AM Popular Post Posted April 17, 2026 at 09:33 AM I can't work out why I have had it on repeat again for ages and its still not driving me nuts as any song normally would after repeating a few too many times, a bit of JJG magic going on I think, and possibly making it a timeless classic The only effect it's having is a positive one of listening to a delicious meditation and twirling and twirling until there's a happy calm as if you're literally become what the lyrics are saying dancing above the abyss of a crazy world and making your own dizziness. Which to me makes the song positive, not sad. However crazy the world gets we can step into a calm slow dance bubble, with her 😄 I also think as a comeback song, there's probably the choices we think she should have come back with, or mainstream popular options etc but it's as if she's saying no, this is how I'm coming. Which as mentioned before is classic Céline and JJG The bigger they've become we might think we need more and bigger from them but they are just themselves and are going to do their thing, which has been part of their magic all along and one of the reasons they've become big in the first place 7 1 Quote

It makes me want to go up to her and tell her: "It's okay Celine. You don't have to do it that way. You can tune it down a little and we won't mind." At her age, I really prefer her lower and warmer notes. She also has to learn to live with the fact that those are the notes she'll have to embrace from now on. And it's TOTALLY FINE! 7 Quote

I feel the same. I keep thinking about the moments in the documentary and the media junkets around that time when she talked about being afraid of what the fans would think if she came back and sounded different or sang in a different style, if it were quieter, more subdued... She's so worried about disappointing us, and that absolutely breaks my heart. And it hurts to see the massive pressure of crazy expectations for this single and for her return. I just want her back with us and for her to get to feel the love again. 6 Quote

That’s more than enough for me. Her whole life has been a race rewarded by mountains of trophies. Maybe she’ll find a middle ground between Goldman's retirement and the endless race, which would be typical of Céline’s grounded wisdom. One of the reasons I’m so fond of her personality. 6 Quote

lyn Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:18 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:18 AM Finally had my listen. What a beautiful Experience this song is. From the simple opening scale, to casual shifts into minor, to her tipping into head voice just on the edge of chest, to the whimsical last refrain... I really like how a lot of you summarize it as listening to her whole career at once. Now, all my complaints for spotify/youtube... do you not understand who i am?? 😅 My current listening on Spotify is 10 different Celine albums, yet when I wake up today the new music recommended to me is some random band i don't recognize... I can't even find the song on her own page and have to specifically search for it. Same on YT... I'm starting to doubt if I'm a big enough fan lol. 4 Quote Philadelphia, PA, Sept 5 2008.New York, NY, Sept 16 2008, Madison-Freaking-Square Garden.

Peppercorn1991 Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:21 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:21 AM I’ve just been through all the comments on YouTube for the song. Whilst there are some that don’t like it or say they don’t recognise her voice (which is ridicules), most of the comments are positive. I think this song requires a number of listens to truly appreciate it, so if radios play a lot over this next period, it has the chance to be loved. I really like it, the buildup is stunning and her voice is gorgeous. Kev x 3 Quote

artistman2007 Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:23 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 11:23 AM (edited) The thing is that she’s already sang all kinds of music .she a has a cocktail of albums that we can listen to anytime we want .but I think now it’s like bonuses so it’s just fun to enjoy without making her feel that she’s still doing it all over again with stress. She said it before she doesn’t need to prove anything and that she’s just making it because she still love it so I’m feeling the same way cause nothing she hasn’t done .so why not to try new tones of music even if it’s a little different ,it’s fine just saying ❤️❤️ Edited April 17, 2026 at 11:25 AM by artistman2007 2 Quote

I think we have to remember that she hasn't released a music video for a very long time. Celine suddenly coming back full throttle might be too much. It makes sense from a commercial standpoint to start slow and reintroduce her. Obviously, we know as fans that if she did go balls to the wall with this first single it would be a smash, but there is a lot risk involved with what she's doing, not only in how the public will respond (remember, the general perception is that she is so sick she cannot sing or perform) but also re: her own capacity for promotion. She could release a contemporary uptempo pop song with a cool video that blows up everywhere, but then that puts some pressure on her to get out there and promote. Way smarter to start small with a beautiful and meaningful song. Her team has been very risk averse, which I actually appreciate this time. There's no need to milk this moment for every Euro it's worth when the goal is not for Celine to have another big song but rather to find a way forward in her career. 8 3 Quote
