Sorry, just to clarify - my opinion was not that Celine doesn't have beautiful, meaningful, poetic songs in English. She does. And I cited 4 of them. And I agree with all your choices too. And there are more like 'Live (For The One I Love)' and 'Miles To Go (Before I Sleep'). My point, however, was that 'Dansons' is better than all of them from a lyrical standpoint. I meant to compare poetic songs and say 'Dansons' is the best, in my opinion.

I posted « info » (?) in the Residency thread : according to Drucker, Ycare is gonna be in the first act of the concerts… I don’t like this idea at all.

I think it translates as ''let's invent/create our vertigo/dizziness'', so the meaning is let's dance in a way that is emotionally overwhelming/intense.

finally a song that sounds classic Celine.... the production is great, it looks like something from D'eux or S'il Suffisait D'aimer... and her voice is not dry like the post Loved Me Back To Life releases...

I can spot a lot of references to her catalogue... the cover looks like the photoshoot from Taking Chances... the instrumental reminds and have a lot of elements of Vole, J'attendais, Je Sais Pas... a lot of Goldman classics...

and of course the nod to Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers IS LOVELY...

 

and talking about her voice, I'm really relieved... it sounds healthy, and a lot better than Love Again...

I’m willing to bet the single cover is likely an outtake from the photoshoot for the residency promotional pictures, but honestly in this day and age when the image attached to a digital/intangible single means essentially nothing at all, I don’t really find it to be that important. Really, as long as this level of musical quality is consistent across the following singles I couldnt care less.

The ad-libs are reminiscent of Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers. But, as others mentioned, the song is musically similar to others, like 'Vole', 'J'attendais', and even 'Je chanterai'.

The song is bittersweet. If I had to choose between sad and uplifting, I'd probably choose sad. Because of its ending - the realization that the world is not turning right hits hard.
