celinedion_#1fan Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:15 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:15 AM Gosh this new song had me nearly in tears, and I love Celine exploring her lower register in this song, and this song's vocals is giving me nostalgia to her 90s voice, like it sounds like a mix of her 90s voice and her Courage voice, and this song has me hungry to cover it because I am a singer myself and I started singing because of Celine Dion and my dream is to duet with Celine Dion and become famous. Then you guys would find out my real identity. 2 Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:18 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:18 AM Just sat down to listen to this song and I must say she make sounds so lovely ❤️ it’s a perfect Celine and JJG collaboration. No need for vocal acrobatics, let Celine and her voice take center stage. Her voice sounds stronger then I think even most of her shows on the courage tour if I’m being honest… and that’s saying something. I just think it’s so beautiful. Doesn’t need to be showy or crazy, just let Celine work the song. I adore Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers so I’m so glad they paid homage to that at the end. This is gonna be on repeat alllll day and I can’t wait to hear this live in September in person!!!! 6 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!
ryba Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:19 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:19 AM (edited) The music video should have been released imminently to generate streams. I’m afraid there is no music video, AGAIN… just that lyric video in Paris… not even a simple in-studio video… Edited April 17, 2026 at 04:20 AM by ryba 1 Quote

scarletpimpernel Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:26 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 04:26 AM I haven't read all the new comments yet, but another thought I had was that it's a slow dance homage between her and JJG Quote

duri Posted April 17, 2026 at 06:54 AM Posted April 17, 2026 at 06:54 AM Song is so so beautiful, maybe it's not single material but Céline is a legend after so many years of career she can came up with this type of song. The song has amazing lyrics it's completely different listen to it along with reading the lyrics (for people who don't understand French at first hearing). Moreover, the meaning of the song is absolutly relevant to the world situation and certainly to Céline herself. 1 Quote http://www.supermusic.sk/obrazky/80543_Celine%209.jpg
A new day... Posted April 17, 2026 at 06:54 AM Author Posted April 17, 2026 at 06:54 AM It is indeed the best part of the track. The worst to me are the two syllable-by-syllable lines. Especially that first one 'ne-nous-re-ti-e-nne' 2 Quote

Though we consider this as a worldwide comeback, this song is just a French comeback. A slow beautiful comeback. Think the 2nd single will be more summer uptempo. This song is definitely a grower and I think in a few years may be a favorite. A song which after years still feels fresh, new and timeless. For example J'Attendais is 31 years old, but still a timeless classic. 2 Quote

Aesthetically, Dansons is close to a soap opera theme, somewhere between Nana Mouskouri [Greek singer and politician] and Barbra Streisand. The song is so timeless it becomes fascinating. The intro is as serene as a Japanese garden, with notes falling like raindrops, a soft synthetic soundscape, and a mellow voice nestled in the lower register, enhanced by effects. The vocals soar after the drums kick in. There is no chorus, but a modulation repeats this invitation to dance, more "forehead to forehead/snowflakes on the horizon" than anything else. The song is, in fact, not new; Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote both the lyrics and the music in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, after noticing that people in lockdown were spending time at home by dancing. "Six years later, there is no more virus, but not a word needs to be changed – the world has not become any more balanced, and we are still 'dancing above the abyss,'" the songwriter said in a statement. 3 Quote

Would be enough to simply write that you don't like the song! And - hard to believe that you "J'aime énormément Céline" and still be able to again write disrespectful. 1 Quote

Le Monde and France Culture can’t help but express at least slight contempt for anything that speaks to and moves the crowds. Except when they use people’s modest backgrounds to make stereotypical political points and appear as humanists — with so subtile a paternalism… Otherwise they wouldn’t lower themselves to note the difference between an artist of Céline’s caliber and a disposable starlette boosted with AI. Cultural « distinction », as French sociologist Bourdieu would put it, impairs their hearing. 1 Quote
