[Surprise Surprise]

I feel the same way: it’s very different to listen to it just by ear than to listen to it while reading the translation. Maybe without the translation and because of the language barrier, it’s a bit harder for me to connect, but when I read it, it’s impossible not to get emotional and feel like the song is perfect.

Maybe a very stupid question just came into my mind - so please forgive me: But do we have any proof this was recorded recently?? Couldn't that be another song originally intended to include on "Encore en soir" (and therefore recorded by that time)?

Hilling song is the absolute word. One of her most hilling song. It is not trendy it is not old fashioned she is just taking her time. 

It’s a celebration of storytelling, of taking one’s time. Every syllable is pronounced slowly, with elegance, deliberately. It’s an absolute luxury—and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful. That’s the whole point and charm of this song. I really like it. It’s been a long time since her pronunciation has been this good. Her tone is beautiful. That said, I still find the voice a bit overproduced. I’m waiting to hear more to really understand the state of her voice. But it’s beautiful, and there’s a real improvement in both tone and pronunciation. That’s not nothing.

 

Now, as we already knew, JJG has nothing left to bring her.

Well well well, i didn't except this kind of tune for a huge comeback song, I mean it's cool and with everything happened the last few years, we are so happy to hear Celine's new music, but i guess something more powerful (not only on the voice, but the general song) would've been more appropriate for her level. We're talking about Celine Dion and Jean-Jacques Goldman! But anyway it's so good to hear her again!!

Here in Argentina, it isn't April 17 but I'm hearing on repeat for the third time... and it's emotional, powerful.
I think that being a comeback single it's enough, I mean, it's Céline & JJG, she still can sing with that beautiful voice... I'm so happy and proud of her.

First, I have been a fan for eh hem...over 35 years

Second, so incredibly happy for her that she has decided that she is strong enough to come back 

Third, as much as I was looking forward to hearing this new collab, the song is just meh. Sweet, yes.  Hit material, no. It just doesn't go anywhere. Album filler at best...for me.

She had much sweeter songs that were never realeased such as On s'est aimé a cause...

I don't think her aim is to create hits. She is at this stage of her career where she should record and release songs that please her. And songs that shouldn't try to reach for the highest notes. Be creative with her sound and voice, new concepts and such. The song is sweet. Glad to have something new from her. It has been a long time.

I’m very happy she is doing new music, but with this song I fell asleep. A bit boring for my liking, but that is my personal taste.

not at all, ABM is so worn out. But something like ANDHC, IA, TTWII, TLDH, PAMP or more recently LBEF (Le bonheur en face!). It doesn't have to be fully uptempo either but just a bit

Yes, you might be right—maybe there was a strong focus on the French audience, leaving the broader public somewhat aside. But the second single will probably be more upbeat.
