scielle Posted February 6, 2024 at 05:34 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 05:34 PM But this was her reply: "Thank you! She is a fighter!!! Her will is incredible! She will be back one day! I have confidence." Nothing we didn't know, but it's nice to hear something from someone 'close' Thank you for that! Nothing definite/ imminent, sounds like ("one day"..), but Dee is one of the closest people in her orbit who would know where she's at. (After all, she was there on Sun and at the Katy Perry outing.) 1 Quote

That “one day” comment could just be her hint at a comeback but she can’t tell details. Something tells me she knows more than that. That fact that she would even say that probably means there’s “something” in the pipeline. Quote

scielle Posted February 6, 2024 at 07:29 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 07:29 PM (edited) So good to see Tara Zier! I'm sure she has to field a lot of media requests every time Celine's in the press and it must drain her. Here's hoping eventually the media exposure translates to donations...And by the way, I'm sure that once she's ready, if she's ready to go back on stage, Celine will do something to help on that front. Remember how the first RW show was supposed to be fundraiser for frontline workers? Well, that was then. This is now. Still, the PR spin from the Swift camp is something else... The number of articles I saw highlighting the backstage pic with a story that goes something like "see, they're BFFs, she was just being mindful that Celine can't be hugged" is incredible. They are running with it… if Celine didn’t want to be touched or couldn’t be touched she wouldn’t have been there to present an award. I don’t think Celine seems like a person who would do something with such stipulations. That’s not her style. If and when she returns… can I see her walking the audience again to sing… NO that’s one thing, but Celine was onstage clearly looking for an embrace that never came. catlovergirl1982 Posted February 6, 2024 at 08:39 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 08:39 PM Oh, and one more thing about RC - what are all those French tabloids gonna do now? You know, all the ones that for the past few months were like “they’re estranged, not talking, etc.” 😏 Also, he seems to have a lot of fans (or people just collectively feeling old!). This post has 170k likes - And posts like this - https://x.com/matthewsuber/status/1754644901021503755?s=46&t=KburVnIlbG-qOHJebY8elA Whoaaaa wait a minute - WTH are you talking about with tabloids saying that Celine & RC are "fighting with each & do not speak to each other?" That is totally CRAZY & FALSE! Look at them on Sunday night at the Grammy's, it is obvious that they are still VERY CLOSE to each other so where are these RIDICOLOUS RUMORS coming from? See this is what I try to warn some of you all about - believing in stupid rumors made up by people who have NO "personal connections" to Celine &/or her family to be spreading crap like this through the media, they make the rest of the Celine fandom look really bad by constantly spreading false rumors that are nothing but pack of lies! The number of articles I saw highlighting the backstage pic with a story that goes something like "see, they're BFFs, she was just being mindful that Celine can't be hugged" is incredible. I wonder if that is all they will do. This is not just some gossip in twitter. Every major news is reporting it. Taylor is in a bad picture even among her peers. If I had to guess, I would say Taylor will send some flowers or something to Celine, with some sort of apologies and will make sure people know about it (probably an “insider” telling how Taylor was feeling terrible about everything, she hasn’t even celebrated her Grammy and wanted to make things right with Celine). This whole thing remembered me that a few months ago a girl died in Taylor’s concert in Rio de Janeiro, because her team thought it was a smart move to surround the stadium with metal plates so people outside couldn’t listen the show. The apparent temperature in the city hit 50 degrees (122 °F). Without ventilation people cooked inside the stadium and the girl died from dehydration. Taylor refused to say anything about it because SHE was too devastated and emotional. She was devastated, not the girl’s family (it’s always about her feelings). The family, very poor btw, had to do a crowdfund to be able to transfer the girl’s body from a state to another in order to be able to buried their child. The almost billionaire Taylor was too devastated to help. 2 Quote

No real rumour or wild speculation. “Good days and bad days” is something they’ve have been saying since she was diagnosed almost. I wonder how can commit to live shows ( if that’s the goal that they hint at) when the bad days are still there? Even if it’s just 20 performances a year in Vegas, seems like a logistical nightmare when there’s always a real possibility that they could get cancelled. 2 Quote

Even if she was able to perform, how can you possibly plan for anything if you don't know whether you can do it until the day of? (And yes, I do think her only stipulation for the Grammys was to keep it a surprise in part so that if she had to pull out, nobody would be the wiser.)And from a promoters perspective, how do you insure a show like that? Based on what I've seen for other artists through my job - it'll be near impossible. Clearly AEG really really wants (and needs) her, but whatever she does in the future, insuring it will be a nightmare. 3 Quote

Would be difficult to sell tickets and make people travel to Vegas, for example. Maybe they are banking on people taking the chance the show will go on and not have a bad day. That said I feel they they’d have to be quite certain she won’t have to cancel if they decide to returning to perform. Quote Instagram: @delphis78
catlovergirl1982 Posted February 6, 2024 at 08:57 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 08:57 PM Looking at his status… does he call Céline “peaches”? I know most of her team refer to her as C, but this is cute if he does refer to her as that. Yes that is the FIRST TIME I have ever heard Celine called by a nickname besides "C" & "Cel/Celly" (although the "Celly" has more come from fans on social media over the years lol, I remember reading posts & comments with fans calling her "Celly" lol.) But that is a cute nickname "Peaches", awww lol. & It was neat to also see Law Roach working with Celine again. Wow I really DID NOT KNOW that Law had "retired" from styling, I thought he was STILL STYLING ZENDAYA & a few other stars as well. I know he & Zendaya have been really close as well. In fact I remember Celine telling the story of how she heard about Law, was through Zendaya (when the twins was watching her show on the Disney Channel, in fact my girls used to watch Zendaya's show as well.) But it was great to see Law & Celine working together again! Quote

scielle Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:07 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:07 PM The “good days, bad days” line is in keeping with what I’ve seen from the SPS community, from those I follow on socials. On good days, sure, they can have a reasonably normal life. But on bad days… it can be really bad. This is from one of those accounts, specifically in reference to Sun: https://www.instagram.com/stories/spsunscriptedpodcast1/3296989048844029042?igsh=MWJjMXNzc2dxMzFreQ== 1 Quote

Let’s hope that the “bad days” are far a few in between months of good days at a time. If that’s the case they could probably work with it… I’m not read up as well you Scielle on SPS and the treatments out there, but I believe there are some that can be given that bi-weekly/ monthly to have shown promise or relief for extended periods of time until it needs to be administered again. I’m sure if (and I hope that day comes) Celine will be working very closely with her doctors with all the dates and timelines in mind to have the maximum benefit for said dates. 1 Quote

Shamrock_1982 Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:32 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:32 PM (edited) This clip of her singing although for fun makes me soooo happy and emotional at the same time… simply to hear her again singing after everything she’s been through and the chances of her not being able to sing again according to what this disease can do, but I also love the tone… it’s a deeper tone, not sure whether it’s due to a lack of singing or whether it’s age, or whatever but singing still looks effortless and easy for her… and I am so thankful that she appears happy and healthy again! Like guesting in somebody's show/ TV special or something (possibly pre-recorded). I can't imagine her going "cold" back onto the stage to do a full show. She's never been away from the stage this long since she was a teenager, right? It'll be 4 years in March. Baby steps. But man, this is so good to see & hear! Zofia Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:34 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:34 PM I have a feeling that we have been writing about this very thing from the very beginning, ever since we knew the diagnosis: if Celine's return to the stage is so uncertain, it is not because SPS is a "death sentence," but because it is such an unpredictable disease. Even with good symptom control, it's impossible to steer by willpower when a bad day will fall. One of many similar comments to Grammy from a discussion on a group for SPS patients: Yes she may have got on stage for 5 minutes BUT... the hair, make up and the whole day of getting ready she will probably be in bed for 2 days recovering. I mean if I don't take a nap during the day, my symptoms get way worse by the evening. Even double vision. Yes she made an appearance but ask her how she was feeling Monday.” 1 Quote

homerton Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:36 PM Posted February 6, 2024 at 09:36 PM Yes Celine has money. Does this diminish her struggle. No. Does it affect the fear in her children with their father gone. No. Money buys none of that. Good treatment yes, but her battle is as real as anyone’s. Quote
