Bon Jovi, Dwayne Johnson, and Tom Hanks also had beautiful things to say about Celine's surprise appearance.
Where can we find those?

Also…. Katherine McPhee Foster, Pia Toscano, Kerry Washington, Frankie Grande, Peabo Bryson, Arsenio Hall, Tamron Hall, Linda Thompson, Lauren Daigle to name a few more.

Are these from Instagram or X/Twitter?

We need to find those :)

I made a screenshot of this, and sent it to my sister, cos she's a huge Bon Jovi fan! biggrin.png

It's a shame they never did anything together in the 90's!

She presented him a Brit Award in 1996. She looked amazing, but I think he was a little bit drunk🤭.

Unlikely I know, but I would love there to be an occasion in the future where Taylor has to present an award to Celine and then Celine just brazenly ignores her too when accepting. Karma *CENSORED*. :P

Yes that’s a shame.

The fact that Celine only has 5 total Grammys is also insane to me.

Well Jay Z also should have said something about that during his speech! :giggle: Talking about 'snubbing'! How Sheryl Crow's All I Wanna Do beat TPOL in Best Female Pop Vocal Performance is still beyond me! :crazy: I said it before, if Céline was an American, then she would have had much more praise, awards etc in the USA.

Taylor Swift is a narcissistic, self-absorbed, overrated songwriter/entertainer. People outside her army cannot even name 1 song of hers, nor can they recognise her voice. She is behaving like a spoiled teenager exactly because there is very little substance to back up her success.

Celine, on the other hand, is a music legend - instantly recognisable voice, a range of timeless classics, sold over 200m physical albums, influenced many contemporary singers, changed the entertainment scene in Vegas, and did her bit to expand francophone music to non francophone markets. Her success has actual substance. This is one of the reasons why she is so humble, respectful, but at the same time confident and focused. Taylor should be taking notes really.

I am feeling she will end up being cancelled at some point much like it happened with Ellen DeGeneres and James Corden - fellow narcissists/so called ''nice people''. yes.gif

Yeah you're hitting the nail on the head! I wouldn't be surprised either. In 20 years time, I wonder what TS' legacy will be besides Shake it off. She still has that 'girl next door' image, but she'll be 35 this year. How long can she keep that image?

Also…. Katherine McPhee Foster, Pia Toscano, Kerry Washington, Frankie Grande, Peabo Bryson, Arsenio Hall, Tamron Hall, Linda Thompson, Lauren Daigle to name a few more.

Peabo liked my response to him! :wub2:

Looks like the same wig… only Dee bun has changed the colour of de bob. :P

The wig seemed fuller to me.... So I'd say it's a new one! I think the hairstyle went very well with this outfit. Long hair maybe would have made it look 'mob wife' :lmao: But I do love to see Céline's hair with more volume. But btw... this is the longest Céline ever had 1 particular hairstyle 2019-2024 5 years! :P hahaha

I’ve been stewing over this TS crap for a few days now, and it only just occurred to me: TS is the antithesis of Céline in many ways…

1) She is, by the average person’s account, “classically beautiful” in the girl-next-door kind of way (even if, personally, I think she is rather unattractive because of her fake/bland personality);

2) She came from money, as both of her parents worked in the financial sector, and her daddy was also a marketing executive — NOT SO HUMBLE BEGINNINGS;

3) She is a white American woman, which makes her extremely marketable to the majority of the population — and since we know Céline is Jamaican/Haitian, that is the polar opposite, and, finally;

4) She comes off as entitled, perhaps because she didn’t have those hurdles Céline (and so many other actually-talented artists) has had to overcome.

As I recognize the origins of my deeply rooted aversion to TS, I also have to admit that she must have her own insecurities. I’m no stan, but I cannot recall a single time she’s shared the stage with someone more talented than herself (a mediocre singer and MID performer at best). Maybe that’s why she was unable to look at Céline in the eyes and take that award…

Saw a tweet saying that apparently Celine attended the hockey game between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Edmonton Oilers last night. I believe it was held in Vegas, meaning she went straight back after the Grammys (if it’s true). Means if she had other reasons to be in LA, it was done before the Grammys. Good to know also that the Grammys didn’t tire her out and she was able to attend after a big night in LA.

Well according to that story from Page Six, she was only in LA for 2.5 hours on Sun night.

(Excepts above but here’s the link again: https://pagesix.com/2024/02/06/entertainment/what-celine-dion-really-thought-of-taylor-swifts-snub/)

But yeah, if she was able to go out so soon after, that’s a great sign!

I heard about the hearts on her Tik Tok, but when I looked, I couldn’t find them in the comments section, so idk if that was true or fabricated? lol

I don’t think it’s true. I follow Taylor so I should see it when I look at Celine’s TikTok video and I don’t. Another rabid Swiftie nonsense probably.

She shared the stage with Stevie Nicks early in her career and it was an embarrassing bloodbath. Taylor was destroyed. And then she wrote “Mean”.

Bon Jovi died for me when he tried to buy a Brazilian actress during an interview.

eeeeh creepy! the interviewer stood her ground though! That was very good. I'm sure his publicist had a nervous breakdown after that interview too! :shifty:

I remember watching it live and being in a house where both parents are major Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fans (as am I) it was a night of many comments made about Taylor’s ability as a performer. All credit due she’s improved as a singer now, but she’s still no vocalist. And if anything it shows Stevie Nicks’ kindness and reverence for the younger generation that she told people to leave Taylor alone. Can’t recall Taylor doing the same when not long ago people were hounding Olivia Rodrigo for some imaginary beef between the two of them.

Taylor doesn’t have to say anything about anything. She has a rabid and relentless army to do it for her filled with emotional 15-45 year olds.

Come on…

Bring on the photos and videos!

I always loved the fact that Celine even before SPS and ofc now doesn’t “hang” much…. She does the gig and goes home, and it’s usually FAST, flies in late as possible and leaves as quick as possible. This shows where her priorities are, if there’s no reason to stay in LA then why not get home to her boys and the dogs lol.

I see the media is now really picking up the backstage singalong with Sonyae - Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, TMZ, ET, Hello all have stories on it.

Celine would NEVER do that... it's not her nature...

How reliable is TMZ usually?

For celebrity news, probably among the most reliable sources I think. They often break the big stories.

Though I stand to be corrected - I don't really follow pop culture closely other than Celine!
