So I wonder how long we have to wait for this. I am excited about it! I just have a fear that it'll disappear like some things with her.
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

She doesn’t have to do anything really for it, just go about her business and leave it to the professionals.

I really hope they put some videos on YouTube (music videos) in HD. And maybe some music with documentary's clip.

I feel like Unison the album actually tells a comprehensive story.

(If There Was) Any Other Way - About cheating, like you said

If Love Is Out The Question - Telling the story about how she was seduced by and fell in love with the man she was having an affair with, only to realize it was just a physical relationship disguised as love.

Where Does My Heart Beat Now - She broke up with both her partner and left the affair she was having. Now she doesn’t know where her heart lies.

The Last To Know - Talks about how her ex is now seeing someone else, but she is clearly very similar to her. Which shows that he is not over her either.

I’m Loving Every Moment With You - Now her ex is cheating on his current partner with Celine. “You’re hidden in a place that’s safe and true” “in our silence, looking in your eyes”

Love By Another Name - Now they’re grappling with their own affair. Trying to make sense of what’s going on and why they can’t stay away from each other.

Unison - I mean…self explanatory lol

I Feel Too Much - She has fallen back in love with him hard. And now she’s expressing her feelings, after their time of tumultuous affair and keeping it a secret.

If We Could Start Over - The conversation they have about the possibility of getting back together.

Have A Heart - Even though he cheated on his current lover, he isn’t sure he can trust his ex to be in a relationship. And this is her final plea.

I don’t understand how this brilliance could just be skimmed over :sofunny:

Absolutely…and to fill the story in a bit more, they could use songs that didn’t make the album. :giggle:

Oh how she needs one.

She definitely needs a new one. Genius like Franco Dragone. Speaking of him, Is he still working? Maybe he wants some projects again with Céline that can trigger his panic attacks lol

Isn't he being investigated for tax fraud and money laundering?

The closest she came to any kind of a career retrospective was probably the BBC A to Z show a while back. And that was solid. Thoughtful. But I hope she can go deeper than that.

I hope Irene can develop the kind of rapport with Celine that Jenna seemingly did during the For Keeps process, and that Celine is as unguarded with cameras rolling when talking with Irene as it seems she was with Jenna. .

I'm sure this was a major consideration - finding someone who Celine can connect with on a personal level. I presume they considered a number of people, and Celine must have "interviewed" the final few - that's probably why she tagged Irene in her announcement; they must already know each other quite well.

I wonder how much time they've spent speaking thus far, and how much pre-production (or production!) has already happened. I imagine if they're just now beginning, this is probably a year or so away.

My hope is that rather than releasing some kind of box set with this, Sony instead makes all hear early work available on DSPs. So many people don't even know it exists because it's just so hard to find. But I don't know who actually owns those masters now, so it may not be Sony's to release.

Reposting the A to Z interview here along with the interview with Jenna about her experience (Thanks to Shaun for that one! Probably the best window into what this process might be like.)

Besides some Oprah OWN Network stuff, this clip is probably the closest I have ever felt to feeling like I was watching a completely unfiltered Celine moment behind-closed-doors. I wonder and hope the documentary will provide more footage like this!

Yes, though I suspect we'll see less of the kiddos. She seems to keep the twins much more sheltered than RC was when he was little.

Seems Irene followed Céline on IG in the last day or two. I guess all this LV drama makes for good documentary fodder. And with the delay, perhaps Céline will have more time to focus on the doc project, now that’s she’s not rehearsing or performing for the foreseeable future.

Can people give online meetings when they have spasms? I mean can they sit on a chair for a long time?

If it’s her vocal cords/neck spasms she could sit up she just couldn’t talk for a long time I imagine.

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

she can tap on the phone like she did with Renée when she was resting her voice in the 90s.

It's indeed drama for the documentary.

Hopefully they won't focus on it toooo much.

I'm really curious in when this whole idea started, and how they are going to create it.

Wonder which eras they will focus on, and whether we see the 'recent stuff' she's working on.

I am missing something? Did Celine have a vocal cord/neck spasm recently, or was this just an answer to a random question?

Edit: OMG. I haven't been on this forum much lately, just saw the news now. I am in shock. Wow. I hope and pray that Celine will get better soon. My heart truly cannot stand knowing whenever Celine is experiencing any pain. Get well soon Celine :giggle: :flowers:

I too would be curious to hear about the genesis - I imagine it came from Sony, as a means of reviving Celine's catalog on streaming (though I doubt anyone would say so directly), and Irene is a director-for-hire. From my experience working at a major label and reviewing artist deals on a daily basis, this is currently "a thing" for legacy artists. It's a major part of what labels do to "work the catalog".

They may have been weighing a doc vs. a biopic, and perhaps felt (maybe Celine did?) that it's too early for the latter, that she's not done yet. A doc is much more interesting to me, personally, so happy with them going that route. In any case, that's just conjecture on my part.

I also doubt this is going to be about her music, and "this or that era". I expect it to be more about her, her motivations, the experience of growing up a child star and still "being in the singing business", as she puts this, all these years later. I don't expect it to be a play-by-play of specific songs, albums, performances, recording sessions, etc. (at least I hope that's not the case; that wouldn't be a very compelling story). A director of Irene's caliber wouldn't be hired for that kind of VH1, "Behind the Music" approach. I expect her to have a complete narrative arc and a thoughtful portrait of an ordinary person living an extraordinary life.

I hope it’s a merging if both of those worlds!

Or, you know, text :giggle: Heck, even emails if she isn’t into texting.

I wish it would focus more on recent stuff (last 5 years) rather than the whole story since it’s less documented.

A little bit of both maybe.

I hope it's going to be more in depth than the 'Behind The Music' docu style.

I really hope that Irene can get more out of her than what she gives us in her interviews.

She always tend to give a answer, without going into details on what she really feels and thinks about it.
