Dennis Save and Dave Platel were (or are, who knows anymore) both her co managers. This has nothing to do with courage. They also served as EP on “Love Again”.

Are there any odd timings nowadays? I see new seasons of any shows being released throughout the year with no real strategy whatsoever. Medias will still be talking about it. Sadly even more if we ever get shocking footages of Celine in crisis.

I wonder if this docu will only be the catalyst for something more, something bigger. Maybe the announcement of new shows, or a new album (we know they were working on a French album). PMLALS will be the ending credits theme song, and she will perform it live on TV to promote the DOCU, and announce a following release of a new compilation to celebrate the DOCU, with the song as a single.

Well that’s disappointing. Was really hoping it would be the fall. This just says to me it wasn’t deemed worthy of a major festival premiere.

I wonder whether they submitted to Cannes and were holding out until program announcement, were it accepted.

 

Cannes (May) or Tribeca (June) premiere is still possible. The June premiere on Amazon is weird 🤔? Anyway, I can't wait for the trailer.

There’s no such thing. It’s a chronic & incurable disease.

 

Cannes (May) or Tribeca (June) premiere is still possible. The June premiere on Amazon is weird 🤔? Anyway, I can't wait for the trailer.

Cannes already announced their program last week and this is not on it. I suppose there’s still hope for Cannes doc day, but that’s just not the same.

And yeah, Tribeca is still a definite possibility, but that, too, is not the same fest it once was.

I have exactly the same thoughts. And yet the potential seemed huge (and the subject, and the heroine, and the director). Maybe everything was done too fast? The necessary distance was lacking? Compromises were too many to achieve a good artistic effect?

 

Well, I lower my own expectations of the documentary - and wait. Let's hope the result turns out better than the date heralds. Maybe something important (just what?) influenced the choice of date and the voluntary renunciation (?) of festivals, and we don't know about it yet?

 

(BTW, having to use another search engine just to log into the forum is a bit beyond me. None of the other sites I visit give me such trouble...)

Yes. It could potentially be timed with ticket release for Vegas, if indeed she is able to be on stage in the fall.

And I, for one, am still holding out hope for her making an appearance at the Olympics… however slim.

Such a weird picture to release as the first look, the media is starting to pick up on it…. The side profile and the extra wide width is just odd. They could’ve released something a little easier to look at, and I don’t mean her appearance.

I don’t think there’s such a thing as a weird time of the year for something ti be released- we stream anything anytime anywhere so it doesn’t matter. And personally I just want to see it, and didn’t ever imagine or consider it needing to be released via a film festival.
