True, according to almost all testimonies she is, in direct contact, immensely nice, approachable, treating everyone with respect, regardless of their status. Only that this is a matter of personal culture rather than democratic views. And interacting with the crowd of fans outside the hotel probably gives her as much pleasure as they do; after all, she's not an embarrassed introvert who sacrifices herself for them. However Céline has never seemed to manifest any interest in the growing problem of social inequality.

 

Paradoxically, this is somehow indicative of her sense of reality. A millionaire with a consumerist lifestyle concerned about social inequality would be as much of a hypocrite as her show-biz colleagues “concerned about the environment” and leaving a carbon footprint the size of a medium-sized country.

 

Agreed 100%. Just because she doesn’t scream about it at the top of her lungs doesn’t mean she’s not involved

She is smart enough to understand that being involved in issues like SPS awareness, cystic fibrosis and Stand Up 2 cancer would resonate better with the fans given her very vast and very unfortunate experience with them, and thus can make a much bigger impact

Well we have the official poster so the trailer can’t be too far away.

I find the caption interesting. Explore Celine’s past and present. No mention of future. I know SPS can’t be cured and no one knows what the next few years will look like but the documentary might have an open ending i.e. going for treatment but not finding out if the treatment has helped.

 

It will answer loads of questions for sure but I’m preparing myself for a very vague ending of ‘who knows what the years ahead have in store’ or ‘for the moment I’m happy, but it’s unpredictable’.

I mean, I think it’s been made clear all along that it’ll be an open ending. I expect this to be more of an explanation of what’s been going on, just how serious it is, something to show she didn’t just cancel all those shows for nothing. Something to prepare us for a soft landing if it becomes clear she can’t perform again. I don’t expect a triumphant “here’s how I overcame an incurable disease and am miraculously getting back on stage”. More of a “here’s the hell I’ve been going through and why I don’t know what the future holds”.
