So I think there's a big problem right now (I don't know which one but 0 promo from Céline or the actors) what's going on? I don't want any messages from the film team after its release so as not to be satisfied with the box office because rrrffff....

I think we will see Celine in some way in the next few weeks. Could be as simple as a 10 second video on Instagram. If she can record a Christmas message and if she is well enough now then not releasing a video or something is a bad move.

She was just on the today show this morning, not even a 2 second mention of “Love Again”, citadel premieres tomorrow she said… I’m wondering if she’ll switch gears to the movie on Monday.

The interview started off with Kelly mentioning love again next Friday and Pryanka said Celine’s acting debut and hard to Believe and they mentioned nick is in movie with her - only a couple minutes before they switched to citadel but I’m happy she and movie were mentioned !

I know I know - at least it was something. Celine clearly is not well enough to do any type of promo or she’d be heavily visible by now. Who knows maybe Sony pictures were banking on Celine doing appearances when the movie was bumped up to May and she had to bow out due to her condition not improving. 😓

That was literally the official Columbia Records release party. Release parties are never something that is promoted to the public as a means to push the album.

I wasn’t referring to promo for the release party but for the album (and lack thereof). (By “that one” I meant “Courage” not the Lips event, but I see now how that’s unclear.)

At this point, I'm just looking forward to listening to the new songs and going to see this movie a couple times in theaters. It would be great if Celine made an appearance / video message... but I understand if she doesn't. It doesn't necessarily mean she's in poor health if she stays quiet. But I also don't think making a couple quick video messages from her home to promote the movie and album is a huge ask, unless she is still in the middle of treatments or just wanting to stay out of the limelight. She could even do an audio message if she doesn't want to be seen -- but that might start new rumors.

 

I do hope that we get some good interviews with Sam and Priyanka for the promo in the coming week!

Also, Celine just seems like a person who wouldn’t want to participate in promo for the movie, when she supposed to return to performing in a couple months. Even if she’s doing “better” in the sense of doing an interview but isn’t quite ready to take the physically and mentally difficult task of hitting the stage again she may not want to give those fans a sense of false hope when a cancellation to the tour could be in the works. I think we all need to understand that she could be improving but still nowhere in the state of going on stage anytime soon. I hope we do hear from her soon at least saying I’m doing better each day but not ready yet, improvement wouldn’t mean she’s ready to be “CELINE DION” again necessarily. I also think no announcement will come until “love again” is out of cinemas, I don’t think she or Sony would want to steal the spotlight with her health at the same time this releases, so I’d expect early June we may hear something.

This is exactly what I would expect if she did some interviews for Love Again. Where she says she working each day on her health but it's all in progress. That way, it's clear that she's not out of the woods and she's not setting up any expectations for her shows to continue later this year. Then she just says a few nice things about the film and album.

Priyanka had leading roles in several successful Bollywood films, so I would not be surprised if the movie is a smash in certain markets. I think they can count on Celine for francophone markets only. I have given up on United States supporting Celine on anything but tours/residencies. Her last Platinum album was in 2007 and last top 10 hit in 1999.
