This has happened to many movies due to covid. In some of the pics we saw it seems the story happens in winter, so probably a summer release wouldn’t work. So the only alternative seems Valentine’s Day 2023…

Well, Sam deleted both his IG and Twitter posts about it. and others on the cast and crew have largely stayed mum, so I imagine they may have been asked to hold their horses for a while.

It's clearly a Valentine's movie, so not surprised they're waiting. Studio releases slates are usually planned years in advance, so not that unusual.

I guess they could have released this Valentine's (when the English version of the book came out), but then Omicron happened, plus according to Sam they still have that one scene to shoot.

 

Too bad though as I hoped this might spark her getting cast elsewhere. But with this so far away, the idea of her acting is probably off of anyone's radar for a while. Plus she's got so much touring to catch up on, probably has no time anyway.

 

I do hope she eventually gets cast in something more serious, something where she's not playing herself (or some fictionalized version of herself). Ideally in French.

100%. If anything, it puts *more* focus on this being “the Celine Dion movie.” Watch IACBTMN go wild on streaming once again next year.

It’s so interesting seeing IACBTMN sort of replace MHWGO as the “go to Celine song” now… from internet trends, to viral tweets and posts, to people singing it in public, it being used for big ad campaigns and it now being sort of the first song to pop into peoples head when they think of her… always thought it was a complete tragedy that the song hit #2 and not #1

It is such a shame she didn't push to do that Callas movie, cos she would have been perfect for that role! The changes of Céline still achieving a real acting career went out of the window 15 years ago. I'm not having any hopes on that anymore. But if she were to switch to acting, I agree that French would be the way to go.

Even though it might be a cover, IACBTMN is a much better song than MHWGO. And definitely a Céline signature song! IACBTMN never gets boring IMO, while MHWGO kinda does. I wouldn't mind if she was referred to as the IACBTMN singer for a change!

It's really interesting to see the revival that IACBTMN is experiencing lately. I wonder if Sony has something to do with it. Maybe they started pushing it behind the scenes, e.g. with the chewing gum commecial. Maybe they use a similar strategy to make an old song go viral again like they did with Mariah Carey's All I want For Christmas Is You not too long ago. I want more songs of her to be promoted, the recent ones! Like incredible, imperfections, ashes, courage, lying down, how does a moment last forever!

The song was so brilliantly put together as sort of a rollercoaster of emotion that it truly doesn’t do it justice to not tell the whole story. If she has to lower the song so be it.

I think we’re past the point of her singing it live now. Truly. She performs too much, her voice has changed too much and the song is now one that she could not maintain doing back to back vocally. I can definitely see her doing what she did with TLYM and going in and making a brand new track to the 7 minute version of it, but singing it live again? No.

She changed how she sang MHWGO in recent years and it sounded good…

 

It doesn’t mean this song will be the signature song for the movie though… hopefully the movie shows her singing the song in a show/concert and a song from courage or a brand new song is the highlight!

Yep that is true... Remember the hoopla with "Muppets Most Wanted" back in 2014, how her name was hyped TO THE MAX & yet her "appearance" in that movie was ONLY 5 SECONDS LONG & was not until nearly the end of that movie lol...

 

Again I am hoping this movie appearance WILL BE MUCH BETTER & MUCH LONGER than in the Muppets movie, but sadly I am NOT holding my breath on that until I see the movie myself (as NOT to feel disappointment again like I felt when Muppets was out...)

About that "plus according to Sam they still have that one scene to shoot," HUH? Sorry I am still very confused as I had thought the movie was FINISHED months ago! Hmmmm getting curiouser & curiouser lol...

 

And if you dont mind me asking, did Sam say WHOSE PART still needs to be finished? I REALLY HOPE that Celines scenes are done! (& if not, then hopefully she will be HEALTHY ENOUGH to finish filming, as we are still waiting for confirmation of the Europian dates of the "Courage World Tour" to happen or not!) Hopefully Celine is done filming her parts & will have MUCH MORE & MUCH BETTER parts in this than a 5-second cameo appearance ala Muppets!

OMG ME TOO!! I mean seriously, I love her older songs, DONT get me wrong, as a 90s kid the older songs are of course the reasons I became a Celine fan...

 

BUT... Lets also NOT FORGET the songs within the past 15-20 years either... & yes although she is NOT pumping out albums like she used to (it does seem that one album every 6 years is the norm now,) Celine HAS released since the 2000s LOTS of great songs (even some, in my opinion, up to par with her 90s songs, & some, again IN MY OPINION, ARE BETTER than some of the 90s songs (again thats my opinion, but everybody tastes are different right... Even between us fans!) So those songs post-2000s should NEVER be forgotten either, they are just as important as the songs from the 90s & Team Celine, as well as the media, needs to stop ignoring them! Okay rant over lol...

Yea it would be REALLY GREAT if Celine was known for MUCH MORE than "the old Titanic lady"... Sorry but that nickname I have heard LOTS of people give Celine since the late 90s to be VERY ANNOYING! Like hey dudes/dudettes, Celine is MUCH MORE KNOWN than one dang song from one dang movie, she was VERY SUCCESSFUL BEFORE THE "TITANIC" MOVIE!

 

Yes "My Heart Will Go On" might have put Celines popularity into another much higher level, but Celine was ALREADY POPULAR & SUPER SUCCESSFUL before "MHWGO", for example like you said "Its All Coming Back To Me Now" was a HUGE HIT as well when it came out (& came out a YEAR before "Titanic"/"MHWGO"!) & While yea "IACBTMN" was not a #1 on the BB Charts, here in the U.S. anyway, still SHOULD NOT MATTER MUCH, It still was a very BIG HIT back in the day, I remember anyway! So no, Celine is not "the old Titanic lady" & is much more than that! & that is what the media/general public/"newbie fans" need to understand!
