Course she did… which is why she also has been plugging the s*** out of a movie over the last 12 months that she knew would be released nearly 2 years after it was shot, lol. What a ***t!

 

This movie is coming out 1 month early compared to the average Hollywood release timeline for films after they are announced. The expected release was always going to be March 2023 based on average timelines

It it's anything like the German original she'll have 2 tiny scenes, about 5 lines, and 3 minutes of screen time. Plus a song in the credits.

Seriously, if they're promoting this as "a Céline Dion movie" then they better have expanded that part from the original, otherwise it's an extreme case of false advertising…

 

If I were to bet, I would bet that they are totally over-selling her role in this. But then again, the media is running with calling it a Celine Dion romantic comedy...I am not sure any of the cast, production crew, or business execs signed off on that

Yep, like I said before: If the storyline is like the German movie, she maybe has 10-15 minutes screentime (interview in her hotelroom + performance at the end). And that is not a Celine Dion movie LOL. But maybe we will get some extras. We will see..

Indeed, even though Celine Dion has some significant role in the movie, you can't expect Celine to have more than a 10 minutes scene. They have to follow a storyline. And it's not Celine Dion movie, but a Celine Dion BASED movie.

 

But still, i would love to be proven wrong.

I was referencing that she “apparently” knew for a long time that the name of this movie was not a text for you, which is complete bullshit looking at her recent TV appearances referencing the name time and time again.

 

I think the woman is full of her own importance, is a crap actress and thinks she’s better than what she is, she’s one of the Jonas brothers wives ( and yes I know she hates that reference, but outside of India where she’s popular, that’s who she is! )

No, not true. Do you know she's Miss World? She did Quantico b4 Jonas Brothers' but anyway, hee popularity can really make this film a hit.

I've been wondering recently when we're going to see scenes like that again. In Covid times, I can't imagine her feeling comfortable doing that any time soon. It's a respiratory illness, after all, and she needs her lungs at 100% more than most.

Anyway, skimmed bits of it, didn't buy because it really felt like a fluff, entirely uninteresting read. And it seems to be getting pretty negative reviews over at Goodreads so here's hoping the movie's better than the source material translation.

Those videos were all produced long before online video viewing was much of a consideration and when YouTube wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's brain. As such, those rights were likely never included in the original agreements. Anything produced nowadays has all those rights outlined and locked down in the initial contract phase, so online video viewing shouldn't be a concern at all.

 

Regarding the soundtrack, I imagine we'll get something like the George Michael-based Last Christmas release from a few years ago (the movie was soundtracked using his songs). He was already dead at that point and obviously didn't feature in the film, but they included one unreleased track on the soundtrack along with well-known hits - a similar approach to what I'd imagine we can expect for It's All Coming Back To Me.

Isn’t this quite literally the plot of the IACBTMN music video? Maybe they did chose the right name of the movie. I also have a feeling the movie will include the song “Courage”.

Interesting you should mention that example.

I haven't seen the film, but I did work on a George Michael deal recently, and while I obviously can't divulge numbers, I will say that particular Last Christmas sync had a huge effect on his catalog revenues that year.

That probably has to do, at least partially, with why Sony renamed the movie. They're trying to ride on the recent revival of that song and further drive her catalog streams. This is the current flavor of the month for how labels drive catalog performance for legacy artists.

Well, fittingly, the first glimpse the public got of this film was at the theatre Celine built!

CinemaCon is being held right now, in Vegas, at Caesars, and tonight's Sony presentation was at the Colosseum.

Apparently the sizzle real Sony ended with covered a number of their upcoming releases, including this one.

ME TOO!!!!!! In fact I am MUCH MORE EXCITED about THIS movie than I am about "Aline" @ all!!!!!!

 

Sorry but to me "Aline" IS NOT REALLY A CELINE MOVIE!!!!!! Ok yea it might be "based on Celine", but it WILL NEVER be "a Celine movie" as some fans & the media claim it!!!!!! Sorry but thats just my opinion
