ME TOO!!!!!! In fact I am MUCH MORE EXCITED about THIS movie than I am about "Aline" @ all!!!!!!

 

Sorry but to me "Aline" IS NOT REALLY A CELINE MOVIE!!!!!! Ok yea it might be "based on Celine", but it WILL NEVER be "a Celine movie" as some fans & the media claim it!!!!!! Sorry but thats just my opinion

Same. This seems forgettable (I’ll watch for Céline, of course, but wouldn’t do so otherwise). Aline’s a much more interesting premise, even if the execution didn’t quite live up to expectation.

I'm just not into rom coms, these lead actors seem forgettable, and I worry it will be the caricature and/or cookie-cutter Hollywood take on Celine. If Celine was confirmed to be doing more original music for the film or was not playing herself, I could get more excited.

 

I wish Celine was cast in some really juicy villain role, something completely different for her.

Well, new dates start 2 weeks after the film release, suggesting she's earmarking some time to be involved in promo.

But that also likely means we won't see her again until Feb 2023, and that feels so far away. Unless of course she's better and they manage to squeeze in Vegas in the fall.

Yes, because THIS movie actually has CELINE IN IT (whereas Celine is ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY IN IT, her body & voice is in the movie itself & it is NOT HER NAME MENTIONED!)

 

But in "Aline", Celine is NOT REALLY IN THIS MOVIE @ ALL, & from what I have read online about "Aline", has NO INVOLVEMENT in it whatsoever & none of her songs are actually in it (I have also read that the "Aline" character sings songs that are not Celines songs!)

 

"Aline" is pretty much a "CARICATURE" of Celine, pretty much kind of a "PARODY" of Celine & her life & career (although it seems MORE TASTEFUL that the famous "Saturday Night Live" skits from the 90s lol!)

 

But my whole point is, "Aline" is BASED ON CELINE, but is NOT A "CELINE MOVIE" as some fans keep calling it, as Celine does not appear in it... But in this movie she does appear in it, so this is a "Celine Movie", do you understand the difference between the 2 of them now?

It’s a great movie … otherwise it wouldn’t be premiered at Cannes festival, it wouldn’t be distributed to so many countries and it wouldn’t have so many reviews… more than Rocketstar btw

Lol, he misspoke. From the context, he clearly meant to say 'she might now become your favourite singer and actress'. Probably started out with a different sentence in his head 'she might not [just be your favourite singer anymore]' and mixed it up.
