She changed a few lines and got herself a working title.

 

I really hope it will be a great movie.

The buzz around her is huge, so I hope her part will live up to it.

 

If it's just her singing a few songs here and there, we can just put up a dvd.

 

Well we have to wait, can't wait for the trailer someday haha.

 

Guess we will be seeing a new greatest hits album next year?

Really looking forward to this. I haven’t and I’m not sure I will watch Aline. There is something about this film I don’t want to see.

Kind of unfair for them but I guess technically it is the Celine Dion movie if her music basically narrates the movie. It's the Celine Dion version of Mamma Mia lol.

 

Also, what scene do they have left to film? How do you know?

If it's true maybe it's some performance scene from Celine.

 

Idk what the big deal is if the movie was filmed a few years ago? Many indie films struggle to get released, movies/shows get delayed all the time, especially during the pandemic.

Also, I wonder if they made some significant changes to the movie. Maybe they noticed that nobody really cared about the story itself, but because they said that its Celine Dion's acting debut people started to be more interested and now the strategy is to place all focus on Celine (we already see it with the title). I can totally imagine that.

You know actors get EP credit sometimes because their participation facilitated funding or getting large distribution for a project? It doesn't actually mean they (Celine in this case) had any decision making role.

 

She's getting Executive Producer credit likely because of how much they are using her name to promote the movie, and probably because they're using many of her songs in the movie, plus naming the movie after one of her songs.

It's been stated they're using her music but the movie isn't a musical. The characters will probably just be listening to her songs, her music will be used as background for certain scenes, etc.

That's interesting, because e.g. Sandra Bullock is also often credited the EP for her movies, but she actually plans, schedules, directs and manages the budget and logistics. I didn't know that the participation that facilitates funding is enough for the EP credit.

Maybe it involves Celine in some way and since she's mia now and then going on tour they don't know if they can do it.
