He did change his tune about the song supposedly written by Celine. He thinks she wrote a song but he's not sure.

Haha haha I know you are joking here, So I am playing sarcastic too lol...

 

But yea, her "role" in the movie "Muppets Most Wanted", was SOOO FAST, let's just say, if you blinked your eyes once, you MISSED IT! Lol lol that's how brief her "role" was, in fact it was NOT EVEN A ROLE, it was a 5-SECOND CAMEO APPEARANCE! For one thing, her "appearance" was not until NEARLY THE END of the movie... & second, SHE HAD NO LINES! She just sang a part of a song with the Muppet characters & THAT'S IT!

 

Now I am not an actor & have NO DESIRE to become one - but doesn't an actor have to have LINES @ least to be considered acting? If so, then Celines cameo in the "Muppets Most Wanted" movie is NOT ACTING, therefore that movie was NOT TECHNICALLY HER "DEBUT"... (Although I know back in the day when that was going to be released in theaters, most of the Celine fandom on Facebook , Instagram, Twitter, etc (INCLUDING MYSELF,) all were "SOOO EXCITED FOR CELINES DEBUT MOVIE" & "OMG THIS IS HER MAJOR MOVIE ROLE (IN ENGLISH,) YAYYYY!"...

 

& let's say there were LOTS OF DISAPPOINTMENT in the Celine fandom after Muppets was released.. I know I was one of them too... I remember dragging my 2 kids who were toddlers @ the time to that movie in the theaters & they pretty much fussed almost the whole time! & I ONLY WATCHED IT IN THE THEATERS TO SEE CELINES BIG DEBUT, WHICH IT WAS NOT! Shoot if I would had known that movie was gonna be a HUGE RIPOFF, I would have not went & instead went somewhere else with my kids that day lol! The joys of being a parent & a Celine fan haha!

A Valentine's Day release, as expected... just a year late. Still, can't argue with the new title! And the headline now calls it "A Celine Dion Movie" (sorry Sam & Priyanka! LOL), so I guess her part can't be that tiny.

So, we can expect this film: Friday, March 17, 2023

 

The release date is more or less as expected.

Well, they're now calling it "a Celine Dion movie" now, so she better!

 

I guess the producers saw the TikTok trend. Plus a fitting title given the plot. Or maybe Celine was just that good.

I think these sources are cavalier with their langauge, but if it is a worthy description then that means they know more about Celine's health and are very confident she's gonna be fine to help lead the promo

Yes, no doubt. But notable nonetheless!

 

2023 is shaping up to be a big Celine year, I think. This, the doc will probably be out next year, Vegas return, presumably. A new album, perhaps (we're do for one, if not this year then next). She'll be lucky 55 so perhaps at least some of the activity is planned with that in mind.

I would prefer the documentary come out in 2024 or after. If the movie makes a big splash, or even if it fails, the documentary can capture her reaction and moving onward after that. I imagine by that time she will would have released some new music...not sure how a documentary would be complete without a rollout phase like that. Unless it is all retrospective, which I would not prefer.

With Celine getting EP credit and how much they're riding on her name she better actually feature a good amount on screen.

This would be cool if it's actually the beginning of her finally taking a dive into filmmaking/acting. But it's likely just an honorary title since they're using her name so much for promo.
