I would understand if she cancels a show the day before if she gets sick, a death in the family or something really sudden, but cancelling the day before because they didn't have time to get the show ready? They only knew that yesterday? Many fans were already in Vegas or traveling today, they should have given more time for cancelations...

I wished Celine showed herself like this. We only got messages in the media but not herself like Adele does here. I feel sorry for Adele she was looking so forward to do her show and she is so sorry for canceling.. and meanwhile in camp Celine absolute silence. It would be so good if she just took a moment to do a little tiny homevideo to show how she is doing , maybe even showing her doing exercises she has to do to get better, showing she is looking forward to proceed her shows.. She is not obliged to do this of course but would it make more understandable for her fans all over the world.

Seeing this, I'm glad how Celine reports the news. This is just something weird. A simple, well, "it is cancelled" kind of style..must he annoying for people.

I wished Celine showed herself like this. We only got messages in the media but not herself like Adele does here. I'm sure if Celine sends a video cancelling her shows the day before your comment would then be "how disrespectful towards fans to cancel one day before" or "why can't she just go on stage and perform a few songs for the fans that are there? She doesn't need a big production anyway".

 

The way Celine did her cancellation was much professional and considerate to fans.

Yes it was more professional. But I think Celine's reason is not only her health. IMO it's a mix : her health,- her contract and of course the Covid situation. It will be interesting to see what will happen next.

And yet Carrie and Katy and others have started residencies/concerts in the past weeks and months…make your mind up!

 

It is her health- as they have told us- that is the reason the residency is cancelled/delayed. Why can’t people just take what they are told as a given? TC have no benefit to making up an illness/muscle spasms. Just no.

I think it’s a perfect storm. Her health, Covid, rehearsals, not wanting to be back… etc.

Agreed. That's what I was saying when I said she gave us an "official reason". Was never saying she was lying about her illness (facepalm)

Wearing a seatbelt won't keep you from getting in an accident but it will provide you with a layer of protection if you do. B)

I’d be mad too if I was attending Adele’s show and traveled out to Vegas for it. She cancelled 24 hours beforehand only. She knew her staff had covid prior and couldn’t rehearse, she knew the show wasn’t ‘ready’ and she knew the deliveries were delayed… one would think she could’ve at least gave a couple days notice.

Maybe half of her team got covid as well but even though they don’t have covid. The show will still not push through since Céline’s main problem is her muscle spasms.

 

But at least they cancelled the show early compared to Adele. That’s even more annoying. I mean, fans were ready. Booked hotels, etc. then suddenly cancelled.

Exactly.

And I could maybe understand cancelling a couple of weeks (because of the covid cases), but the entire run?

That probably means the show wasn't even close to being ready. So why wait until the last minute to cancel?

 

Or is she all of a sudden realizing that Covid is a thing?

She announced the residency like 2 months ago...

There's unforeseen circumstances and there's p*ss poor planning and this seems like a case of the latter...

I see some are speculating whether the entire thing with Caesars might fall through for her. Much as some are speculating the same re. Celine at RW.

 

 

Meanwhile, Resorts World can't catch a break. Apparently there's heavy police presence at the moment as they found a woman's body in one of the rooms at the Conrad... Place sure appears cursed!

Maybe Resorts World won't even be in business by the time Celine is well enough to perform again and has a break from the CWT. I can't see any way of her getting out of the contract with Resorts World because she works with AEG and AEG works with Resorts World. Unless AEG moves Celine to another theater they own..
