Fully expecting a simple set up.

Would be really a shame for that amazing stage to be not used to it's full capacity but I reckon they will use something for either Encore or Uptempo Medley, if they are keeping any of those in the concert.

On the Super Bowl topic, if Mary J Blige did it, I don't know why Celine couldn't. With the right production IACBTMN could work great then a remix of MHWGO would make people go crazy, I'm sure about that. They could do a Queen of Vegas halftime with Katy Perry/Lady Gaga (although both already did it), Carrie Underwood/Shania (you cover country fans) and Celine closing with a medley. Even Cher could join.

 

I don't think it will ever happen but it definitely would work.

You all act as if Celine was already over 70 years old. Of course she could be approached to do the halftime show. She is selling tickets like barely any other artist. People love seeing her live. Don't act like she is a has been. She would need to perform the right songs though.

I'm definitely not saying she's a has been. She just doesn't have the material.

She HAS no songs for the Super Bowl. This isn't about Celine being a has been - it's about the fact that the Super Bowl audience is not her audience. They want current young artists or legendary rock artists. Celine is neither.

Her repertoire is what makes it difficult to do an entire halftime show, but I disagree about MHWGO. The past few halftime shows have been entirely uptempo, but that was not the case on several occasions in the past (as recently as 2017 with Lady Gaga "Million Reasons.") I really think it could work.

Exactly and as for Gaga, totally different performance images."Million Reasons" and everything she did on superbowl was played on radio. Celine's last releases.....nada!

 

After reading some of this interesting superbowl debate my point was her catalogue. Can Celine do it? Hell yes she can DO it!! However it's about material AND image. Yes, Madonna did it but look at her catalogue.

I guess she could ask the crowd to sing the last phrase of BYLM....

Frankly I think she’d be universally rejected as a Super Bowl half time show performer by you know… the ones who actually watch the Super Bowl and it’s half time show? Madonna and Katy Perry were bad enough for the majority of that audience, but I feel like Celine would be another level of bad reaction. Plus, with the exception of say I Drove All Night and Love Can Move Mountains… what uptempos do you think she could or would actually do? GaGa doing a part of a current big radio hit is not comparable to Celine doing ~6 ballads from 20+ years ago. I just don’t see it personally 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Everything works if you’re creative. They can remix the ballad songs. But what I see is since IACBTMN is a huge hit/trend in this era. I think the crowd will get wild if they insert this song during a remix of medleys.

 

All of the performers who performed at the superbowl are remixed. They didn’t used the original version because they need to oomph the songs and be more energetic and creative to get those crowd wild.

Did she remix the festival in England? No she came out did the same thing she’s been doing for 80 years now. Didn’t even dress the part for a festival.

I love people are dreaming but I have to agree with Celine not fitting the spot for a SUPERBOWL headliner. The only way it could’ve possibly worked would have been if they did some kind of Women Empowerment Halftime show in the late 90s/ Early 2000s and included Whitney, and Mariah… they could’ve had the vocal trinity all there, and mashed up the set between them all. For example Celine could’ve took part with Whitney on “How Will I know”… etc.

 

Mariah, Whitney and Celine could’ve worked in the past, Celine doesn’t have the songs to do it. The SUPERBOWL crowd doesn’t want to hear “Beauty and The Beast” or “All By Myself”.

 

Now her appearance of SNL is far overdue. I personally think she’d be perfect on a show like that, and would surprise herself at how much fun she would have. It’s a shame they haven’t had her on.

And yet here you are once again… arguing with people about why their opinion is “crazy” and yours is “just right”.

Unfortunately your mindset is stuck in the past along with the previous public opinion that Céline isn’t cool.

With IACBTMN and MHWGO she had 2 songs that are recognized by children on TikTok all the way up to the elderly. So it’s possible for her to perform at the halftime show. Clearly those who book the performers realize there’s a balance to “who’s trending” and “who’s nostalgic” and I think Céline is certainly both and could be considered at least as a co-performer.

 

Now the biggest issue IMO is her team. If they aren’t *trying* to book her on SNL or the SuperBowl, then it’s likely not going to happen. And for all we know, she has been asked and just turned it down because she isn’t interested. You can lead a horse to water…
