A little off topic but they filmed Carrie singing her new song, “Ghost Story”, in the theatre and aired it on the CMT Awards tonight. The technical effects in the theatre are just unparalleled! I can’t wait to see what Celine will do in the place. Will tomorrow be the day she announces? Won’t get my hopes up but we will see

I think the setup is a bit simple compared to her other performances from this show.

 

I think they should have filmed the part where there’s water sliding down and she’s in the middle. I don’t know the song but i think it was in the last part of the show.

I think Celine’s team just needs to take advantage of what they can offer. The “Celine” residency part 2 especially just got lazy with the capabilities of what they had to offer in a show that doesn’t travel.

If you look at Shania Twains first Vegas residency “Still the One”, that was played at the colosseum in the same theatre as Celine’s first and second shows and you’ll see Shanias show was beautiful. I think Celine’s team just needs to take advantage of what they can offer. The “Celine” residency part 2 especially just got lazy with the capabilities of what they had to offer in a show that doesn’t travel.

 

Agree, it was not as over-the-top as A New Day. I wonder if it was done to intentionally to draw focus to the real star of the show: Celine's impeccable voice and talent.

Carrie Underwood’s show is called “Reflection”, and she’s reflecting on all of her hits and all she’s accomplished so far. It’s a greatest hits show and most people who have at least heard a few Carrie Underwood songs will have heard most of the songs she plays. The acrobatics are just simply because it’s Vegas, and she couldn’t tour with all that.

Not all the time. When Adele performs, I've noticed the stage is very simple. No dancers, no over the top visuals... it puts the focus on her voice. Imagine Celine performing a show where the stage is black and she's flexing those vocal cords to the max

Kind of the vibes Celine did with her over the rainbow performances in 2015/2016 in Las Vegas, that was so beautiful

That was my very first impression about it. It doesn't feel like an authentic show to her at all, but I am no expert on her.

 

Then again, Celine's "A New Day" show had its share of randomness. Going from Celine songs (as varied as RDMH to "If I Could") to Frank Sinatra to an Italian (Neopolitan) song to Stevie Wonder...all over the place

Well Journey just announced they’re going to Resorts World for 4 days in July. I suppose this week will be all about that. We probably won’t hear anything about Celine’s return for a little while now, since Bublé starts next week at the Theatre and Carrie picks up right after he leaves. So we shall see when they drop the news. Nay seems more and more likely now.

 

I’m seeing Carrie next month at the Theatre so I’m very interested to see the place in person since last year I only saw the façade outside. It does look pretty epic!

Guys I was just playing on RW website for tickets to Carrie U, and Luke B ,,/ as well with other artist listed , watch out for resale tickets , they get very $$$ on top of your ticket, VIP"s are very expensive as well ,

Sorry but do we have ANY CONFIRMATION that the Vegas shows are ACTUALLY HAPPENING?

 

Because she had cancelled the shows WOTHOUT RESCHEDULING them, & personally I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING MENTIONED ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET! So I am wondering if this is ACTUALLY HAPPENING, or if we are just using WISHFUL THINKING & HOPING @ this point... There has been nothing mentioned about Celines residency since the cancellations, nothing on Resort Worlds website mentioned, nothing in months! Very odd...

Precisely. I think over the years, the glitz and glamour took over and we forgot that the very essence of the show is that magnificent voice. It doesn't need dancers or big LED screens to help compensate like many of these other pop stars do. It's perfect and more powerful on its own.
