The market is booming, maybe Celine needs the money to fund shoes and couldn’t part ways with her Henderson home. I would suspect the Henderson home is sentimental for her since it’s the home that Celine and Rene built together and he passed away in.

According to the RW Theatre FB page (https://www.facebook.com/RWLVTheatre/posts/327422102840656), Carrie starts her last run of shows for this year tomorrow. That's one down. Let's see what happens with Katy at the end of the month and Luke in June and if/when they add more dates for this year. I still think RW is holding open Oct/Nov dates for Celine. Well, mom and I just saw Carrie Underwood’s show “Reflection” in the RW theatre and I may I just say that theatre is unbelievable! It is a tall stage I will say. We were worried about that huge black wall on top but truly once the show starts you can’t really notice. The sound system is what they call “immersive” and it’s loud enough without feeling like it’s going to blow the place while also being surround sound. Just the sheer tech in that place is unreal.

 

That being said, they’re now selling Celine’s Courage tour merch in the RW theatre store. Part of me wonders if they’re just trying to clear out all the merchandise she was supposed to have sold on tour this summer so they can do all new next year or if they’re trying to damage control of some sort. You know keep her in the lime light to some degree since she should’ve been here last year. Who knows. I just found it very interesting.

Part of me just believes she’s selling the merchandise because she’s on the website listed as a performer and has all this excess merchandise to sell. But it’s just weird because it’s the Courage tour merch. Doesn’t say Las Vegas on it anywhere. Probably was just a last minute decision to sell stuff, just for publicity and association sake.

 

I don’t know how I feel about her going on again this fall. I would love to see her again but I do want her to get well before she tries to step on stage again. I’ll make a way to come see her again, even if I only come for 2 or 3 days, but I just wonder if it would be better if she just takes the year off and recoups. Then again she’s got that looming contract to fulfill too though.

Since they canceled all the North American dates of the tour, I'm sure they're just taking the opportunity to offload whatever Courage Tour merch they had ready - much better to flog it than to dump it, pay for storage, or ship it to other venues. The European tour merch will no doubt be produced locally.

 

Still a bit weird to be selling merch in a venue where she hasn't played yet and no new dates have been announced, but her name has been attached to them since the beginning, so I suppose not completely bizarre.

Residency was announced 10th May, tickets went on sale 24th May. First performance was due to be 5th November.

I could also hear her doing i"m RECOVERING into her set list at some point

Normally, yes. But with Céline being a big cash cow for AEG (normally), they'll wait until the end of time for her. And they invested big time in her. And Meglen and Céline (and René when he was still with us) have a really good bond (but so did Céline and Rob Prinz ).

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Micheal Buble just announced a tour too, but I know his residency was very limited. I think what Resorts World is doing is allowing their performers to go out on tour but they’re having multiple headliners so that the theatre has always got somebody to perform.

What do you mean? Celine’s Omnibus deal covers both residency and touring. In fact it explicitly states AEG is to arrange additional tour dates if she doesn’t meet the MG via residency shows alone. Her Caesars deal clearly allowed for touring in the latter years, too. This isn’t like the early days of A New Day. Vegas residencies have evolved since.
