I feel so sad for her… I see her message optimistic, but then I find it a bit worrying that there was no video this time.

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Of course this makes me sad, but Celine's health is more important. All I want is for her to be healthy again.

I just asked for a refund for my tickets after having them for 4 years. Feels strange.

Sad news of course but we knew it didn’t we?

Who knows now when we will hear from her again. So sad.

I feel like the tone is actually pretty positive when they use words like soon.

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

You're reading too much into it. "I'm not giving up" simply means that she's still working hard to recover and plans to be back on stage at some point in the future.
More like, work hard to recover to the best level possible... The stage is not the priority probably...

I thought the same. And stating that touring is hard even at 100%. What about a residency? Or other appearances.

This at least frees her up to seek other opportunities without worrying about fans being upset their show is postponed but she’s doing some work.

Put in that position you can only try to be positive… especially for someone in her position, for her kids, family, friends, employees, the media and us the fans.

Just hoping she’s on the road to recovery however long that road will be.

I can't imagine what her kids are going through. After losing their father at such a young age, now they have to witness their mother going through a severe battle of her own. But hope they are by her side, because we know nothing in the world gives Céline courage as much as her kids.

I think we’ve seen the end of the Celine doing a tour. If she continues now, or will undoubtedly be a residency in Vegas. Even if Celine becomes well enough in some regard to perform again, I doubt she’ll want to be confined into an airplane for several hours traveling the world back and fourth. Best case scenario if she ever returns will probably be Vegas and Montreal/Quebec.

I agree. It is no doubt a sense of relief. I really do Believe we’ll see her in Vegas sometime next year. She’s close to home and she can literally start off with like half a dozen shows see how it goes.

They should release a DVD for the fans!

I hope Celine feels a real sense of relief now that the shows are cancelled and the news is out there. Time for her to focus solely on herself and heal at her own pace.

Celine has retired. We just don’t know it. She retired in 2019 really and we will hear nothing from her for a long time. And as time fades we will realise the greatest singer has bowed out. A sad day. Those thinking otherwise and deluding themselves. They’ll be no updates. She is seriously ill. A year is too short to see recovery. Celine will never tour again. Those days have gone. We must cherish her and hope her pain is bearable.

I suspect she’s too ill to make a video. Or she had had the cell transplant and is recovering. In isolation

I would say I’m surprised, but I’m not… I just hope that she can make as much of a full recovery as she possibly can. I hate to see her suffer, but I want her to take the full time she needs so she feels she is ready to come back on stage again.

I think we will see her in a much reduced capacity if she is able to come back. I would love to see her sooner rather than later, but I hope she is taking the time to cherish her family and not worry so much about us. We will be there when she is able to return!

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

Maybe this isn’t so dark. Maybe it’s a good thing she’s not pushing through it if she’s at, say, 70%, because that would likely only exacerbate her issues and force her to over-medicate, which would be a slippery slope. Maybe she really is better, just not there yet.

I want to be hopeful.

Sad, but expected. It's the right thing to do. The tour and ticketholders couldn't play a waiting game forever. That's one less thing on her mind, and she can continue to focus on her health.

I agree with others who think the announcement and Celine’s statement weren’t so grim.

She said that touring is difficult even at 100%. To me, this hints that she has her eyes on Vegas once she’s in a better place.

There were enough positive words used in the announcement that make me feel hopeful.

“We do have every hope that someday soon, Celine will be able to come to all of these cities in Europe to perform for her amazing fans, but that time simply is not now.”

If she were in terrible shape, they would not have said this.

I’m glad that Celine can just focus on her health without those pesky tour dates looming over her. ❤️

And the media is going to have a heyday posting about this cancellation — because that’s the nature of the beast.

But the good news is… all of this positions Celine to have a big comeback someday and it shows how beloved she is.

Celebrating our living icons is on peoples’ minds right now after losing Tina Turner.

Exactly and the message implied that she may be able to perform again. This tour is over but that doesn't mean her career is over.

Finally. Hopefully she can now just focus on her health without distractions of concerts and contracts for a few months and maybe, just maybe she might get to a point where she can get back on stage every once in a while. God I miss that woman so much...
