I have no problem with the speeches/talking...I think Barbra also gave quite long talks...the difference is when it is rambling, repetitive, and getting far away from the point.

 

From her team's perspective, also there are rules that a show has to start/end by a certain time. But, as ticket prices go up so much, there comes a point where you'd probably rather hear another song lol.

Exactly, I have no issue with the speeches when they are more spontaneous and don't last 10 minutes! It is the repetitiveness and when they become rambling that they become an issue.

WOW... So pretty much NO CONCERTS until September 2022 (for Celine that is it seems!)

 

So I guess more 'indefinite silence & hibernation' from Celine & her "team" for another 18 months... Sighhhh

 

Shoot might as well forget the "Courage" album by then (as majority of the general public has already forgotten it exists, well those who even know it exists to begin with!) 😥💔

 

Nothing to look forward as a Celine fan since last year, & nothing for a year & a half... So 2 & a half years altogether... MUCH LONGER than any of her other hiatuses... & there are no guarantees that things will be up & running in Sept. 2022... Life sucks... Sorry for this sad post, I am suffering with Seasonal Depression/"Winter Blues", blahhh I hate winter & snow with a passion & I also hate this hellish & never-ending pandemic! 😥💔

Nah world is going to be a lot more normal towards end of year now so many vaccines getting done. Countries are having concerts already just we don't in USA and UK prob due to our bad handling of the whole thing plus the fact everyone who has died in the UK in the last 12 months even if hit by a bus they died of covid. In Barcelona, there will be stadium concert from Love of Lesbian at the end of March without social distancing. There are 5,000 tickets - all sold out.

People will need to get an antigen test done (the quick Covid test), there will be temperature sceening and N95 (FFP2) masks will need to be worn.

 

This is like a study after the one done last December with 500 people at a smaller venue, where nobody got infected.

So there's hope for concerts!

Yea but the places that you are talking about are mostly in EUROPE where they are doing MUCH BETTER with vaccinating their populations, compared to where I live, which is the U.S., which is a HUGE MESS, & it is NOT getting any better! The vaccine distribution is going SUPER SLOOOOW here in the U.S., most states are not even out of phase 1 yet! & in my state of Maryland, NOBODY I know has gotten vaccinated, myself included! & I am considered an ESSENTIAL employee (I work in the Child Care field!) My state is STILL in phases 1-A & 1-B since December, & here it is now March! @ this pace the U.S. is going, it will be around the year 2024 before anything is back to normal!

 

Sorry but it is sooooo frustrating how bad things are in my country since this pandemic started... Our last president screwed things up, & this new president is NOT doing much better in my opinion as everything is going @ such a snails pace when it comes to the vaccine distributions in most states & the fact that our government keeps "losing" the vials of the vaccines instead of putting them in people arms so we can finally get out of this mess! I can not wait to get out of this pandemic too, life has literally sucked for all of us since this all started... But sadly the U.S. is still a mess, & we have jumped from one frying pan into another even bigger frying pan! Sorry if my post seems negative, I am depressed & frustrated... I hate this really bad winter weather, I am sooo over this winter & over this pandemic forever! Thanks for listening & have a great weekend fellow forum member!

Actually the US vaccination rate (around 8%) is higher than most European countries and Canada (all around 3 to 4% I believe). But things will speed up in the next month or so with new vaccines getting approved.

 

The UK is the exception.

Before Biden came into office there was no vaccine plan at all. The Trump administration actually refused an offer for more vaccines to be distributed when they were first rolling out. Biden has been in office since January 20th, and has secured enough vaccines for every adult in the United States as of the end of May 2021. I would say that’s pretty incredible, and not moving at a snail’s pace. I’m sorry you are having trouble getting an appointment, but it’s going to get easier soon. And you have President Biden and his administration to thank for that.

Her video message was like a “Hi/Bye! See ya in a year or two!!” Just a quick acknowledgment about tough times — like hold on, don’t sell your tickets just yet. That would have been a prime opportunity to offer those fans who paid for delayed shows something exclusive like a T-Shirt with the cancelled dates on it or water bottle or a f***ing tote bag. But she didn’t even let on that there’s anything exciting in the works (maybe there isn’t?). Truly disappointing. If I’d not seen the show yet, I would have sold my tickets in a heartbeat!

I’m almost certain that the setlist will change to some extent but the stage is likely to remain the same, perhaps with some visuals being added removed.

 

The biggest change will undoubtedly be in Céline’s looks though. The outfits will definitely be new and hopefully the wig will also disappear.
