then why to record new music at all?

 

For FOMO she had a good reason to add it to a medley, it's vocal killing for her, but there are so many other lovely songs and things

she can do with those new songs. For example a piano version only for some of the ballads can be something

quite unique. She should end the show with one of the new songs.

 

but most important, why is she not performing the songs she worked so hard to record in an album?

Celine is definitely not an innovative performer by any means. Just the fact that she is practically ignoring her entire new album full of bops screams insecurity. Hopefully she actually hasn't lost confidence in her new music cause that's all I'm getting from this.

Well, as i said before the show, i wasnt getting my hopes up at all and yet, even though i did so, i still am leaving sorely disappointed. Its evident to me she has zero desire to sing any of the songs live, outside of Courage it seems she cares very little for this album and its tracks

Maybe she wants to rehearse those songs more before singing them live. Why would she sing them for soundcheck then?? Thats weird!

LoL, that's what I'm talking about, singing it in soundcheck doesn't guarantee it will be on set list. It happened in the past.

I am even doubting her connection to the new album at this point. IMO, she is not feeling it. Got the same feeling from her interviews. I think recording songs in the span of 3 years has had a negative impact. Hence, the lack of promo now. It is sad. Edited December 2, 2019 at 04:45 AM by LukeD

I even stop streaming it on Spotify, now I only play it from iTunes. If she don't care about her album, why should I keep supporting it, bought the legal copy is enough.

I paid €450 for my Berlin platinium seat. I m now thinking about resaling it. I already saw the english show in Hyde Park and I m disappointed. The album is totally neglected, it s the first time I find the setlist this boring ( I was a little disappointed in Hyde Park too, as I thought she would deliver a special show not the Vegas one). And guys I can tell you I m the last to say that I m thinking about resaling my tix...and even the french setlist is bad to my eyes...after 2013, 2016 and 2017 shows, which were just amazing, one can only be disappointed I believe... but maybe we hardcore fans are not the target and the greatest hits tour (asia 2018 and usa 2019) is for markets she neglected before ? I don t know.....

Or perform two/three-ish different songs from the album for each leg of the tour. Then we’ll have live performances of all the songs.

 

It really is a solid setlist for the casual fan. Big hits, a couple chestnuts, and some surprise covers. She looks amazing and sounds so strong. The visuals are fabulous. The show is really great — BUT it’s mostly geared towards folks who didn’t get to see her in Vegas or maybe only saw her once or twice in Vegas. Those of us who follow every move she makes, of course, are a bit deflated. But we need to keep perspective and realize it’s not so grim. The show is absolutely delightful for the vast majority of people.

 

Regardless, no matter what... This amazing new album deserves more songs performed. If she cut out a couple covers and added in a couple songs from Courage, it would make us all so much happier. An easy fix! Just do it Celine!

Oh, what a sad reality. The “chestnuts” are “The Prayer” and “If You Asked Me To”.... the former is well worth the price though — her voice is flawless!!!

She sounds absolutely amazing, its such a shame she isn't using this opportunity to perform more songs on the album, very disappointing
