But why no outfit changes? The dressing room is below the stage, I believe. Just like it was during the TCWT.

 

For the sake of the comparison with Adele, that had the same dress for all the tour (several copies of the dress I might add, for the sake of odor).

...And just because it can be done, I'm pretty sure it's not the most practical/comfortable thing to do.

 

If we want big amazing designs maybe a comparison with Carrie Underwood's full on hydraulic Cry Pretty Tour, massive as U2's, or kinetics/exoskeletal based like Muse. But at the end we want more Celine...

Not only that, it's a really crap design if you have to keep all those people in it who are not even involved in the show, and yes, the huge problem with Céline would be... no outfit changes throughout the whole show.

 

 

Don't think changing outfit would be a huge problem, but moving and running around, dancing, having band members with you and actually have stage performance would be impossible. Plus it's too high and i feel that nobody can see her close enough. It's just too small for Celine. The screens are nice but i don't appreciate the fact that you can't watch her perform the song and you just watch a video.

This clip just shows how incredible she still sounds. The resonance she produces here is like a LTAL tour level of resonance.. that sort of G4-C#5 range in her belts is most certainly her sweet spot now a days... phenomenal

I’m glad someone asked. I would like to know as well.

In 2007 right before the Taking Chances tour was announced it was rumored that a big outdoor concert was about to be announced for Halifax. People were speculating on the big Rock acts that it might be. So when Céline was announced the media and those wanting a Rock concert had a tantrum. Had they choosen the indoor arena none of this would not have happened but they decided on an outdoor venue that people thought should only be for Rock concerts. It got so bad that Rene held a news conference via phone with the media. In the end Rene decided to cancel the show and it was the fans that lost on seeing their idol. She's been to Halifax 5 times before this fiasco and all sold out.

No one will work my shift for me tonight so i guess no show for me. Ugh. Relieving my post concert depression by getting some photos i took printed and framed.

I still look at my photos and videos from Quebec every other day. Post concert depression is such a real thing.

Lady Marmalade can burn in hell...AOBTD is crappy, no one wants to hear her scream the high notes. All of these lowered keys make every song sound very underwhelming. Ironically, the easiest parts of songs is when she hits the really high notes (like f5 and higher)

 

Think Twice needs to make an appearance. That song would fit perfectly in the black dress along with the "edgier" section of the show. Plus it's widely known. She keeps giving us songs no one has heard of (at least the general public). It's a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

I love the hair!! It looks great on her. Fresh and Cute! Yes, she always wears some sort of wig or hair piece, even with the bun (most of the time).

Tbh, I hate the hair. The bob makes her upper half and shoulders look very masculine, and the extreme blonde makes her wrinkles pop out. I miss her long brown, wind blown hair.

 

I also really dislike the clothing choices. I'm not a fan of the opening red dress (the way it swoops down really low and how rounded out the slit is. Also the big u-neck). I'm not a fan of the second white/black dress either. It's way too formal and looks like she's going to a meeting. The only ones I genuinely like are the black dress and the silver one piece.

Lots of people think that. Every show. There's always a bunch of angry posts, and that's just the small subset of people who do post. And many, many more in the audience who feel the same (speaking from experience / commentary from those around me).

Only a handful of venues have made it clear that she's not actually on at 7:30 - but that's what the tickets say. Most people just assume she's very late.

Me too, I don’t like the hair. I don’t recognize her, she’s not the same. Maybe, another hairstyle but no bob. Her red dress and the black pants are not right for her.
