Anyway, some interesting tidbits in this one. Implies they'll be playing other songs from record once it's out.

When I saw Bryan Adam's last year I was secretly hoping he'd sing Let's Talk About Love. Then again it did appear as an extra on a single (his version not Celine's).

I’m french and I can tell you ziggy is NOT what we would Céline sing in France ... we would like more English songs and more french song never sing but NEVER ZIGGY!

General public don’t like so much Ziggy ... in 2017 a woman not very fan of Céline juste un front of me tell « oh not this song! » when she start to sing this song ... Ziggy is to old ... on ne change pas if she want à easy song for her voice is a better choise and general public love this song.

On french radio you can listen more on ne change pas, destin or je sais pas then Ziggy ....

And with Pepe in her life, it's more appropriate than ever!

Well I was at her last concerts in France: 2013, 2016 and 2017 and the crowd was singing Ziggy when she sung it. It is one of her biggest hit and is in a French show like BYLM is in an English show.

i agree and to me this show is Vegas on wheels with just a couple of surprises; why preparing a show months ahead and still coming up with the same songs??

This is true... Céline has never opted to please a niche — her team has always cast the widest net possible, in an attempt to please as many people as possible (bigger sales, bigger paycheck).

What irks me is that before the tour started, Scott claimed fans were going to see Céline in a totally new light, that they were bringing a show of unprecedented innovation, digging deep into her catalogue for “chestnuts”...

Once I read that, I felt justified to pay an EXORBITANT sum of money for tickets to see the experience he described. I’m happy with the English songs they did add, but I still expected more for that price!!! Particularly, I want to cover medley gone FOREVER!! If this were a 3 hour show, full to the brim with her own songs, I wouldn’t mind. But there is not a fan in this forum —or beyond— who would rather hear her sing someone else’s songs (and if they say otherwise, they are lying to themselves).

Maybe there are “casual” fans paying upwards of $400-2000 for tickets to see an artist they hardly listen to singing the greatest hits of another singer... but I sincerely doubt it.

Some people can’t spend thousands of dollars to go to Vegas, but they can spend a few hundred on a ticket in their hometown. I was only able to go to Vegas once during the “Celine” era, and I had to go there for a wedding...when Celine was off for two weeks. But I had to save my money and be there for the wedding and couldn’t afford to make two trips to Vegas. And I live in the US. It’s not easy to “just go to Vegas.”

I was at the Cincinnati show last night. I kept my eyes off of the forum so that I could be surprised by the setlist and know the exact running order of it - even though I’d seen opening night in Quebec so I knew half the songs. I wondered if there were be any added songs from the new album but, since it hasn’t even been released yet, I knew that was a long shot. (I’ll be seeing her in NYC where I live and will be curious to see if they add another songs and some of the songs in the set list feel like place-fillers until the album is out.) My best friend lives in Cincinnati and she’s not a die hard fan. She enjoys Celine well enough but is definitely a casual fan (doesn’t own any of her CD’s as far as know - maybe All The Way)

IACBTMN - just as in Quebec, it’s a fantastic opener. The opening line as she comes out of the trapdoor gives me goosebumps. Just like with her 2017/2018 tour, Vegas since IS was added, and IDAN in the TCWT, Celine clearly likes to open with a song that she lips. I think she’s just as nervous as any other performer who goes out on stage and lipping the first number helps her get used to the crowd and the stage and have an opening number that slays. My casual fan friend said that’s her favorite song of hers and thought it was an awesome choice to start the concert - it made it a “big” opening.

TTWII/IA - I was surprised to have these two together just like the 2018 tour/Vegas but they work great together. They’re two of her well-known uptempo songs and the audience around were on their feet clapping and singing along. (I was fourth row on the floor - we all pretty much stood the entire show.)

IYAMT - My casual friend immediately exclaimed “Wow! That’s an oldie.” Love that Celine lowered the key so she could sing it live - it didn’t sound weird at all being lowered. It sounded like IYAMT and it was a fun throw back to my/our college years.

TPOL - Crowd favorite - everyone went bonkers. It’s in a good spot in the show

LCMM - this feels like a place holder to me. When the new album is out, I expect this song to be gone and be replaced with an uptempo from Courage. Especially since they kept it shortened. However, when I said as much to my causal friend on our way home, she said “Well, I’m certainly glad she did it tonight. That’s always been one of my favorite songs of hers. I would’ve missed it if it wasn’t there.”

BATB - a classic. She slays it. It’s heartwarming and brings us all back in time. The casual fan doesn’t enjoy it though and could’ve done without.

TP - same thing with The Prayer. Casual fan never really liked that song. It’s another one I see as a place holder until Courage is out and I expect it to be replaced with a new song.

YTV - it’s a great, fun, uptempo song. I’ll love it. I love the sing along portion with it. Celine clearly loves singing it. It’s a highlight of the show for me and I hope it sticks around for the entire tour. It’s also the closest Celine has gotten to singing any “political” song and I say bravo for her to singing a song about guns and gun violence in America at this time. I actually think that takes “courage.”

Courage - is amazing live. The causal fan with me thought it was a beautiful song and said she was absolutely floored by it. (She’s recently lost her father so I imagine it hit her hard in all the feels.) I love that song - it’s probably my favorite of the 4 tracks we have. It’s so personal for Celine and listening to it is just heart-breaking and incredibly moving.

TYLM - one of my most favorite Celine songs. Everyone around me was singing along to it. If I didn’t know she was lipping it, I would’ve never suspected it last night. It appeared to be totally live and she slays it. That being said, this is something else that I hope is a place holder and will be replaced with a new song from Courage.

ABM - It’s got to be in the set list. Everyone around me ate it up including my casual fan friend.

LD - I loved it. Casual fan said she had a difficult time understanding the lyrics. I agree - I had to look up the lyrics online to figure out what she was singing in the verses.

TLB - I can’t believe she had the courage to keep this as part of the English set list tour. It absolutely slays. People around me were really into it. My causal fan friend thought her vocals were insane and the entire band rocked during that number. Definitely a highlight for her.

BYLM - Right before this started, I had literally thought to myself “Jesus, what on Earth does she have left to sing at this point?” And that started and I went “Oh my God of course!” Casual fan friend loved it as it’s one of Celine’s biggest and well-known hits.

The Medley - sorry haters, but it works and it works WELL. Most of the audience as my age (47) older. So we’re all around Celine’s age and we all grew up with Let’s Dance, Another One Bites The Dust, Lady Marmelade, etc. Every one was dancing, singing along - it was totally like we were all at a party at that point. Casual friend said it just went prove to Celine can sing anything and mentioned how much she LOVES River Deep, Mountain High. She said “I mean, I love the song when Tina sings it but Celine just take it to a whole new level. It’s amazing. I could listen to her sing that all night.”

MHWGO - The drones truly are stunning. Casual fan friend is a techie in the theater world and she was blown away during the number constantly vocalizing “Oh wow” and “How freaking cool is that?”

Imagine - a perfect ending. Another bit of a political statement from Celine. Casual fan friend thought it was a perfect way to leave the night and thought Celine slayed the song - she became very emotional.

All in all, this is a fantastic tour. As others have said watching it on YouTube videos in no way lets you know what the show is like. Live - this tour is a killer and I predict she’s going to continue to get rave reviews across the country as it goes on.

As you wrote both You’re the voice and Imagine are political. And could reflect Celine’s views on the world. She has been singing about love since day 1. Those both songs are how you translate the love to your partner to how you live in a community.

There are stances and meaningful. And fit the courage theme very well which is about loving yourself and being inclusive in the society whereas today’s world may seem gloomy and sometimes frightening.

Yeah but still is a bit unfair. I mean it's very unfair for the people that have been following her since forever, i get that. Personally i'm not that mad about the list nor with the medley, she is fantastic during the medley, but there are some songs that can go away and never return (BATB, TLYM, Kiss) and be replaced by some non "LV/tour 2018" songs. She can easily please the people that couldn't go to Vegas (although there are hundreds of videos online) and the die hard fans who' ve watched this show also hundreds of times.

If they change just 3 of these songs, any 3 songs that she has sung 1-2k times, people here will be way happier. She doesn't even have to bring extra rare songs, she has so many hits that casuals know, like TC, ANDHC, IS, EOM, IDAN etc, and wouldn't be disappointed to see. I won't talk about You're the voice since obviously that's something she loves and it seems to work very well, but i'm sure that there are songs that she can't stand singing but are still in the list. Just change those with other hits. I just hope The Prayer and TLBSEPT stay in and not be replaced by a new album song and PQTME.

Since some years ago, Celine has her business life breaked in 2, 50% music, 50% fashion. Most people like that, most people don't like that. The fashion clothes are now in her life in every thing she does, so... I think that we have to take it

Hmmmm not really but if they will include this. I'm sure it will be a lot different. Of course with Scott's Arrangements.. 2nd, the visuals, 3rd Céline's perfromance, 4th maybe different outfit so.. it will be different also CFTF, TJAWIM & AWTBI aren't included on the Final DVD of TCWT Concert

But obviously, these songs will only be appreciated by massive fans.. except for Alone.. everybody knows this song.

That's why i said "If they change just 3 of these songs, any 3 songs that she has sung 1-2k times". BATB i see most members disliking it, you do too, TLYM won't be live so..that's why i'm ditching it and Kiss has been performed too many times for a cover to justify its existence in this tour. But that's my logic and preference. Whichever song, that has been done 1-2k times, they choose to remove, the majority of members here will be happy and that's a fact. Celine singing something that hasn't been performed for a long time/never, is something we all want. IYAMT is definitely not one of my favorite songs but i'm still thrilled she is doing it live.

Yeah PQTME is great and you still see it live in the french runs, just like all the previous years. But she won't do 2 french full songs in the english leg.. so you want to hear again PQTME instead of TLB? I mean fine, it's your taste, but her performance in this song is..wow. It's a side of her that most people have never seen and they need to see, that's why i don't want them to drop it.

They can still play it safe and replace a hit with another hit. Risky is TLB, safe is replacing BATB with ANDHC. Celine will never be able to satisfy every fan for she would have to sing 90% of her catalogue, but a few changes here and there have to be made regardless.
