Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Tyler, I just watched your youtube vids from last night's show. Thanks again for uploading!

Man, Celine was on point last night. She truly sounded phenomenal!

I loved the audience singing during IYAMT and her original 90's moves.

Speaking of Patti LaBelle songs, do you think the U.S. audience would appreciate/get into the english version of Lady Marmalade more? I kind of think so...

Now that Celine is on time to bring back FOMO and add Imperfections!

I would also die for WFTM

I think the English version of “Lady Marmalade” would be a bit too tacky. The French version is more special and brings something new (that the audience have probably never heard before) to the show.

Last night's The Prayer is pure gold, what a voice!

Everything last night was pure gold. She's insane! And i love her reaction when she realized Lady Marmalade wasn't over

I"d love to see "Nothing Broken But My Heart" or "Water from the Moon" performed live again. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I also think Ashes and A New Day Has Come (radio remix version) should be added to the show.

Ashes to replace the Reason

Somebody Loves Somebody to replace Love can Move Mountains

A New Day has come Radio Remix ADDED

Nothing Broken But My Heart ADDED.

Then this, in my opinion would be a STELLAR set list

I love how the audience screams when she hits the long note in IYAMT (even lowered), yet BYLM sustained note even a bit higher never gets the same applause.

I know some people HATE set list posts, however, i put together something earlier that is not only extremely realistic in the “necessary hits and Celines favs” category. I also managed to put a sizeable amount of new songs in there, most of which are unheard, i guessed their vibe/genre by title and so added them in accordingly:

1. Its All Coming Back To Me Now

2. Thats The Way It Is

3. Im Alive

4. Flying On My Own

5. If You Asked Me To

6. The Power of Love

Change

7. Love Can Move Mountains

8. Imperfections

9. Look At Us Now

10. To Love You More

11. The Prayer

12. Perfect Goodbye

13. Beauty and The Beast

14. Youre The Voice

15. Tous Les Blues Sont Écrits Pour Toi

Change

16. Lying Down

17. The Reason

18. For The Lover That I Lost

19. Lovers Never Die

20. All By Myself

21. Baby

Change

22. Medley:

* Another One Bites The Dust

* Heart of Glass

* River Deep Mountain High

* Lady Marmalade

23. I Drove All Night

Change

24. My Heart Will Go On

25. Courage

Probably cause they can tell its a “surprise, surprise, I told you lies” moment lol... to me, the playback for the song is even more evident than MHWGO.. its.. robotic sounding at moments

Well not that surprising. Her whole renaissance has been mainly made in Europe, still the heart of fashion and alsobthanks to her critically quite praised last tours there. It's another thing in the US where not only she has been always more conservative but also in this specific Trump related context where the past marketed singing housewife is turning the head with her weird looks and gender neutral line.

She is in a need there to be understood there maybe. People there are surely a bit perplex now in a way.

That s I think also part of the explanation in comparison.

She is still doing very well, she also has the press with her there even since the beginning of this Tour so will see.

I think it's exactly that. The Trump era has brought about a surge in ultra-conservative ideals, etc. With her gender neutral line and the rumor out there that she said she hates the US (people are always commenting on her posts about it, that she should go back to Canada, etc.), people, especially in the south/mid-west here who are very conservative/Christian based, aren't going to spend that kinda money to see her. Which is why I think Louisville didn't sell out. The ultra-conservative parts of the country just aren't feeling it the way they did before she came out with all of this stuff. It's just a weird time here in the states. Still, given that, to sell 92% of the arena is not bad given that there are those out there who just have this "idea" about her.

It's too easy to blame Trump's America. It's simply due to the fact that 1) Shows were booked too soon and too close together for Kentucky/Ohio 2) The demand for seeing her in the US isn't as great because she's been performing in Vegas for 100 years. All big cities...be it Louisville or anywhere else, has enough people that patron the arts to fill an arena for a star of Celine's magnatude, Hell, Barbra Streisand couldn't sell out 1 concert in NYC and 1 in Chicago. The novelty of seeing her live and at huge prices has worn off.

Wait...did I read correctly, The Reason is now cut?? Why does she keep cutting and not adding? I'd love it if she'd add FOMO back to the set-list, maybe in a different spot and added Imperfections. I understand w/this tour it'll be a lot of generic hits, popular songs. You just expect that at this point in her career. Especially in the states. I just feel like the tour should have a couple more songs from album of its' namesake. These are all songs that already released, one even has a music video already out, so it's not like she'd be spoiling the rest of the album, in that regard. I don't mean this to be a complaint, I just don't understand why she's only performing two songs from the album?? And seems to be shortening her on-stage time unless she's scared of losing her voice again and having to reschedule more shows. If that's the thought process, Imperfections isn't vocally challenging like The Reason, or even FOMO in some spots, can be. Why not at least just add that in??

Anybody think she might circle back around and do some more shows in Canada/ USA after the European leg?

I know Cher has recently does this as well as P!nk....for instance Cher went back for another show in Toronto and then one in Madison Square Garden as she also only did Barlclay's centre the first time.

I feel like Celine might do this. Possibly end the show / tour in Quebec again? I did'nt get to see this tour yet. I went to Montreal in 2016 and Vegas in 2012 and 2015. She used to come to Halifax until our idiot media ruined it in 2008. But if she comes back to Toronto or maybe even MSG next year I'm going to try and go.

I can pray she makes a Martime stop (Moncton?) but that holds a very slim chance (even though she'd sell out in two seconds!)

That's definitely a huge part of it too. But just looking at past tours, they seemed like they sold much better.

I completely agree with you! The average fan probably doesn't even know she has a kids clothing line out...

More proof to say that she probably could have taken a longer break between Vegas and her Courage World tour. With that said, I do think overall the sales data is good, just not outstanding in every city.

I think also these weekday/night concerts might also have something to do with it. Much more than ultra-conservative political opinions, imo

So remind us, which dates are concerning in terms of ticket sales? If any?

Mostly now the Brooklyn dates, quite a few of the March-April dates and (i think) the Nashville date

The ticket sales will continue to increase with the upcoming release of her album along with all the promo that will come along with that! :)

Overall, it seems like she's selling really well so we have nothing to worry about.

I agree with this. I was surprised at how much prices dropped. The standard, not platinum, was even dropped significantly. Floor seats for a hundred bucks. Lower level for 80. Random 18 dollar student prices.

Then again, you've got four cities within a couple hours of each other all in a weeks time. Does ohio really need three shows in a week?

They definitely made a booboo doing so many shows in close proximity -- one right after the other. Thankfully they still sold very well.

Just watched the videos from Louisville! She sounds so spectacular. I'm blown away by her vocals lately. What a treat for us all! :-D

But I also noticed ---

Doesn't it seem like the catwalks are BEGGING to be utilized during the medley?? That would be such an easy, fun, energetic way for her to interact with the fans / let them take pictures with her / bend down and high five them / etc.

It seemed a little forced for her to get onto the catwalk during All By Myself -- and it's distracting because all the fans want to do when she comes close to them is to reach for her and try to have their one special moment -- so walking onto the catwalks during dramatic songs like All By Myself takes away from the song. It would be much better for her to use the catwalks during upbeat, fun songs. That's an easy tweak they could make.

I agree.

They've modified some of the staging and placements little by little. For instance, premiere in QC they had her stage left catwalk for kiss and stage right for rdmh. Second show and ever since she's been on stage the whole time.

Kaven, sax guy, and violinist have seen more of the catwalk than celine.

I gave up on getting any boxscores after there was no QC boxscore even after 2 or 3 weeks, it seems boxscore data for this tour is gonna be spotty at best

They scream to be used!

Just had the same talk with CSCfan.

Celine uses them for what like 3 songs.

Even the backups and band don't use it that much.

It would be sooo much more power if for a few songs the band is on the left catwalk and the backup on the right.

Or switch here and there.

Especially the uptempo medley, like they did in TC with the dancers and guitarist.

I absolutely have no idea who is the creative director of this show, but he/she definitely needs some inspiration.

It's fantastic to see all the positive reviews rolling in. The audience is eating up this set list and her amazing stage presence! They're loving her.

I'm so happy folks here in the US haven't forgotten about If You Asked Me To. It was a hit for her and I'm surprised she didn't sing it for SO long. Seeing her perform this song again takes me right back to my childhood and I assume it's doing the same for MANY people. :)

There are so many special moments in the tour already and I know there will be MANY more to come.

Does anyone else notice how at the end of RDMH all her musicians are somewhat formed in a line almost prepared to take a bow before the encore (reminiscent of AND)??...yet it gets thrown off when lady marmalade starts and everyone awkwardly shifts about. Not that I'd want another song cut, but ending on rdmh seems more natural than lady marmalade.

I mean they could easily switch the position of the two of them

I m surprised that No one has brought this up yet, But if her shows start at 8:15 or so, Why is she NOT DOING M&G's in this timeframe? I haven't seen anyone that has had a M&g,

I just saw that Jordan Smith (Winner of the Voice) shared a pic that he was at the show last night....would've been a great opportunity to add Ashes considering he wrote the song 😐

The best fix would be to move LCMM into that medley instead of Lady Marmalade.

And in LCMM place either do a new song like “Imperfections” or another fan favorite/ hit like ANDHC or IDAN.
