joaofilho Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:50 AM Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:50 AM I don't understand why she's only singing two songs from the new album, maybe after the album is released she'll add more songs, so hopefully. 3 Quote
DionFanAlways Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:58 AM Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:58 AM I'm not sure but I read in a article somewhere that the final profit is split something around 85%-15% between artist-promoter. In that case, they both loses with poor sell. But it also says that in most contracts, there's a minimum the artist have to receive, no matter what, even if doesn't sell that much. In that case, the promoter suffers the costs. Most of Celine's touring income will be based on a contract - she'll know what she's going to make before the tour starts. She might then make a % of any profits in addition to receiving her per show fee. Thanks guys. I've always wondered about the business side of things when so much money is at stake. Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
pepillo90 Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:59 AM Posted October 23, 2019 at 11:59 AM There are people here that no matter how disrespectful things are coming up, they will always find a reason to excuse Celine, pepillo! So she insists to go on and keep with the show the other day, when she was painfully struggling with her voice, but she can cut songs when she needs to rush home because it's her twins' birthday, and everything's fine with that? Very coherent. Actually I don't take for granted that she skipped songs to be in Las Vegas to celebrate her twin's birthday. Who knows what happened! scielle Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:04 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:04 PM (edited) When tickets go at last minute for so cheap, who takes the hit? The venue, Celine, the promoter? She gets her fee regardless. The promoter effectively buys her services. The venue still gets their fee. She might get a performance-based kicker but ultimately if sales are sub-par, the promoter takes the hit.But given, from what I understand, this was ~90% sold out before they started slashing prices around this past weekend to fill the remaining space, I suspect they'll be fine. scielle Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:11 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:11 PM So everyone seems to love the tour except her own fans, how sad is that? Well, the vast majority of the audience are not people from this forum, Red Heads, or those who follow her around and video each show. The're people who may have seen her at some point in Vegas, or 10-20 years ago, or grew up with their mums playing her music when they were kids... people who know the hits and maybe own an album or three, but don't follow her every move. They come for a set list just like the one she has put together. 5 Quote

Who knows what happened! I know you don't! It was a general thought, that some people are finding the most ridiculous reasons to explain why she cuts songs! Some common sense, please. jpatdeleon09 Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:16 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:16 PM Did anyone notice that a hat was thrown to Céline during “All by Myself”. She refused to pick it up (she did see it) which is probably reasonable after the “incident” on the Taking Chances tour. Do we still not know what was written in that hat? I thought she didn’t see it haha Quote

Shamrock_1982 Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:20 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 12:20 PM (edited) It’s basically because the majority of die hard fans who pay a lot to see her over the years, are understandably getting fed up with the recent setlist... for them they have heard certain songs still on today’s setlist hundreds of times over the years and although some of these songs (4/5) have to be in her concerts for obvious reasons, other songs of her could be replaced for ones she ain’t sung in years or never sung before. 2017 we seen a glimmer of hope with that list but that glimmer has gone. The casual Celine fan ain’t been to as many shows as the die hards and are not as fussy about the setlist which is fine for them, they are happy, But she does have to keep the diehards happy too... let’s face it we have paid towards that water park in Florida that she had and those expensive frocks and shoes that she wears in her shows lol. There are two Celine’s, Celine the person/mum/daughter/sister and Celine the entertainer/ the product. We have to remember to separate the two This topic is about the entertainer! TiagoFragoso05 Posted October 23, 2019 at 01:04 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 01:04 PM Well, louisville was my third show in a row and fourth of the tour counting premiere in Quebec. I'm like 92% sure I probably won't do anymore shows before my hometown indianapolis show, so I'll take this time to review my experiences. The first show in cleveland was a great experience because i was relatively unspoiled. There wasn't a whole lot of surprises but if you asked me to had me shaking, and when she even did the second verse i was about to lose it!!! Tous les blues as the french song is a great choice and also a pleasant surprise. It's nice that a fav of ours is also a fav of hers. 1. iacbtmn - i like opening with a hit. I wouldn't have minded the full 7 minute version2. Ttwii - another hit, but uptempo- perfect really.3. I'm alive - another up tempo song pretty well known. I really enjoy the visuals on this one. They're great.4. If you asked me to - obscure hit for fans. The crowd does love this! I think she enjoys it too. Watching her performances throughout the whole song she moves quite a bit and its all the same as she did with this song in the early 90s. Amazing! The key could be a half step higher. I think she could top out at e5 at the end instead of eb5 and be okay. Maybe? Probably not without mixing too much, so i guess this is okay. Either way i am so happy this is LIVE.5. Power of love - nothing new to report really. The first segment works great, flows well. 6. Lcmm - at least its not at the end, its a short version that doesn't take too much time..but the timing still feels awkward and every show i was expecting rdmh after. 7. Batb - another short one,I'm glad this one is in as it hasn't been her last couple us tours.8. The prayer - okay at first when i predicted barbra and she said andrea i was rolling my eyes but after seeing how her voice shined without a duet, i was happy. It's a move...and it works as one of the shining vocal moments in the show. It's also a hit. And the backdrop is gorgeous. I also like this speech isn't quite scripted. Each night she was a little different with it.9. You're the voice - the talking before is longer than the song. This segment is the weakest for me personally. But celine reeeeally loves performing this song. I think its going to be her lcmm and the length of this segment is most frustrating to me. The show may be 1hr50min but the talking and interludes accomplish much more than I'd prefer. The visuals for this song are nice. Clearly its staying for that reason too... it is a nice song and the crowd likes it too.10. Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi - a surprise. It works. People start to sit down and maybe lose interest at first but by the end they all love it. I like hearing her introduce the song, that's neat.11. To love you more - people like this song, the crowd knows it. I had never seen it live before. The new playback is nice, but lazy they use the the 1996 long notes for the ending. She has always toured the us with this song. It could use a break even though it just had one prior honestly. 12. Courage - her performances of this are phenomenal. She sounds more and more comfortable each night with it. 13. All by myself - considering there is no visual at all I'd rather this one just go. Boring. Even all the screens with old images for wdmhbn would be better than this. 14. Lying down - like courage, her performances of this have been better each time. She sounds good. The phrasing of some words are not easy but she is doing it well. Glad this is live.15. The reason - can't say im surprised this one was cut already. It's a rather obscure choice even though in cleveland she said "you know this one" before singing it. I liked her vocals on both performances even though each one had a slight imperfection. They were very strong and she nailed it. 16. Bylm - the crowd eats it up. I want a second verse for this badly!!!!17. Cover medley - crowd absolutely loves it. I'd like to see idan as a cyndi lauper cover replace kiss. This is popular every night. Naturally I'd want her own songs in a medley but the cover that needs to go is YTV. 18. Mhwgo - the dress reminds me of the bridesmaids movie where the lady "sits" in the street with it. Lmao. I like how every night she almost catches a drone then releases it back up. I do wish she would sing this ending live as enough people are singing along it doesn't matter.19. Imagine- a nice soft ending. Better than how CHFIL was getting butchered at the end. I imagine this will stick around all tour long. Her voice was in phenomenal shape. You cannot tell she was sick. She sounds better than she did in 2016 and 2017 IMO. Her speeches are pretty interactive and she keeps people laughing. She even had different jokes different nights which surprised me. My first few videos are uploaded from tonights show. For some reason they're taking extra long tonight. The rest will appear shortly but im going to bed now and will put them in a playlist tomorrow. - she handled that second verse better night , and rhe final belt was the best yet. Okay im going to bed but tous les blues, Abm, lying down, and the cover medley will be up shortly. The stage looks kinda smaller from the first concerts, is that true? This is not an incident, nor the man was trying to "scare" Celine. The guy asked to handle Celine something and security simply let him go to her, and I'm sure he was security searched before. It's perfectly expected. 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

CelineDionFreak Posted October 23, 2019 at 01:47 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 01:47 PM (edited) I wonder if Falling in Love Again will come to the show? Skylar did say it would be performed, and I know to take that with a grain of salt but like she sang a line or two for soundcheck, and there’s more songs to be sung from the supposed rehearsal number. I’m very curious. I suppose the earliest we could see new songs is at the Montréal show on the 14th or the Chicago show on the 1st December. Sure a 4-minute song makes the whole difference to catch her own plane. Seriously? This place is just like a gossip magazine at times!! Is Celine's plane the only plane that's taking off?? Nah you must be joking! It's true that's she's a DIVA but NEVER the only plane in the sky. When it comes to air traffic. Honey she must be in the line! And don't forget the differences of restrictions for each airports by different governments around the world defined noise measures under the Civil Aviation Act. There is also the thing called movement limit which restricts the total number of flights that lands or takes off in the night quota period(11.30 p.m.-6.00 a.m. depends on each airports) so yes 4 minutes does make a different for THE DIVA=) 1 Quote
Jay718 Posted October 23, 2019 at 03:12 PM Posted October 23, 2019 at 03:12 PM Tyler, I just watched your youtube vids from last night's show. Thanks again for uploading! Man, Celine was on point last night. She truly sounded phenomenal! I loved the audience singing during IYAMT and her original 90's moves. Speaking of Patti LaBelle songs, do you think the U.S. audience would appreciate/get into the english version of Lady Marmalade more? I kind of think so... Now that Celine is on 🔥 time to bring back FOMO and add Imperfections! I would also die for WFTM 6 Quote http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh275/Jay7180/im_13.jpg
