Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

I suspect it's quite the opposite. That's not much fur for her. She clearly loves to play around and improvise (as would anyone, after performing the same songs for years).

I think the sole reason she does it is to preserve the instrument. It's a practical choice.

Or lipping allows her the chance to be more fluid with her movements onstage without needing to worry about how she sounds.

Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

I like PQTME instead of Imagine.. They did a great job with PQTME arrangement. So beautiful :)

I just wanted to repost this (thank you jpatdeleon09). These performances are BRILLIANT. I'm really sorry for those who won't attend a French-speaking show (first time that I'm so happy to attend her French-speaking shows I have to admit, usually I prefer the English setlist).

But I think that this kind of performance is sublime only for fans. What the average crowd would think about it ? I think about my friends here who want to see her in the Paléo Festival, they will only wait for "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" and I'm sure they will be disappointed by it (unfortunately). Anyway, I think it's a magical gift she gives to her real fans

It may not even be a “singability” issue. TLYM may be another song she is tired of “performing”, but does so for the fans. If so, I would imagine lipping it would make its inclusion in the setlist more tolerable for her.

I mean she went a 10 year gap between her last performance of the song and the re-inclusion of it in thr Asia tour, so I wouldnt say its that either

Regarding TLYM I'll be honest, after 9 years of not being performed i had the same hopes for TLYM that ended up being the case for several other playbacks. I was hoping it would be adjusted in a key more suitable and done live..I think lowered -2 she could sing it live. Thats one step lower (i think) than the juno awards and rosie odonnell back when she did them live there. The playback key is too high but she slayed that at the rehearsal someone captured a short bit of for hyde park.

Oh well, like i said in an earlier post, playback is gonna be a thing, i just would love to be a fly on the wall with these decisions when the conversations occur. Lol.

I wouldnt say the key is far too high now, IMO in her current vocal condition she could sing circles around that really bad playback, she would however (and i dont blame her) need playback for the final long notes.

She can take it, she said it herself so never worry yourself about that... she ain’t no snowflake ;)

Hiiii Shamrock ! On the 7th of October you wrote: "Another London date is about to be announced!"

"about to be announced"... Can you tell us when please? ^^

Another date has been reserved because I guess they expected both nights to sell out like 2017, but as there are two Irish dates this time less people are gonna travel over to London to see her this time round.

So I guess they are currently waiting to see if/when both London dates are sold out before announcing it ( if they sell out ). ;)

Hey did you guys hear that Céline is on World Tour right now, with an album coming out in a few weeks?! It's called COURAGE WORLD TOUR. That's coincidentally the title of this forum thread too! Isn't that funny?!

It's called Courage World Tour, but there are only two songs from Courage :innocent:

Thank you. I think we should ALL write an e-mail to the O2 and to team Céline to mention that fans all around the world would be very pleased to come to London a Saturday night ^^

Like with every tour, some nights sell better than others, Louisville obviously just didnt sell as well as others, if i recall correctly, Louisville had really high prices, which may explain it

It’s so strange...the whole NA leg was sold out in 2008/09...I had the feeling Céline was more popular now

Normally if a leg is far away, it sell out better, hence why the dates later in the year and in 2020 have sold out better and the europe leg sold ridiculously well. Also, access to vegas in general was way, way, way easier over the past few years, she was also in vegas double the time compared to AND... oh yeah, and prices were waaaaay lower on the TCWT. *And* its kind of general that legs later on sell better because theyre hyper etc. TCWT also had the benefit of having the album released prior to the tour too

I think she chooses to lip the most famous songs as they are the songs that people know and will easily judge her on while the less famous songs, people won’t notice/care if she lowers them, change them or even fail them in any way so she does them live.

Can you guys believe Columbus (and maybe Cleveland as well) got “To Love You More” in the setlist every time Céline did a show there!

I guess that if they don’t ask her to promote the world tour since April, everything is ok for them....

Most people go for last moment tickets on ticketmaster but that works better in the weekend I guess

And for tonight everyone is going for the cheap deals on Stubhub it’s going kinda fast 👀

Looking for Celine gifs ? check my channel https://giphy.com/ch...inediongifmaker

I suppose it is a cost vs benefit analysis. If for the 10%/5% remaining tickets the marketing would cost more relatively to the benefits (human time, billboard placements etc) then you would not invest and the margin as it is.

I was watching her last performance of The Reason, and can't believe she prefers to perform it, but FOMO seems to be a completely challenge for her.

FOMO *was* a challenge for her when she wasnt at 100%, shes now in waaaaay better condition than she was before and could easily tackle FOMO

Does it seem like the tickets are getting snatched up as the day progresses? I wonder if Celine should do a tiny bit of promo for the tour until the album’s released? A little interview here & there could make a huge difference.

I wish we could all be hired as seat fillers for her tours! But I’d rather see the shows just sell out on their own. I assume once the album is released — and all the promo that’ll come along with that — the shows from Nov and beyond will have no problems.
