Popular Post Javito Posted October 19, 2019 at 06:38 AM Popular Post Posted October 19, 2019 at 06:38 AM (edited) Seriously, so this is it??? Let's see... She only performs 2 brand new songs from the new album (FOMO is out), the ONLY new old/surprise song from her back catalogue is If You Asked Me To, and there's not a single NEW old song included from her discography (like she did in 2017 with LIAWN). This is a disaster setlist for fans. Not even Ashes which was a recent "hit" for her is there. Not even cared to include a song retrieved from her discography that she hasn't performed before. The first new song from the album only comes on the 12th place, after eleven hits have been performed. And they name this the "Courage" tour after one new album Honestly, this is not encouraging at all to see for fans that have been there 20/30+ years They can do so much better than this! Ps. But hey, of course there are 4 wardrobe changes during the show. There are more different wardrobe changes than surprises for the fans here That's what she seems to be more concerned about And say lots of fans were waiting for ANDHC remix to be included in this tour yesterday... LOL!!! You got IYAMT at least Edited October 19, 2019 at 06:43 AM by Javito 8 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
browseceline Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 AM (edited) I am sure there will be changes in the set-list once the album is released. Well, definitely by September 2020 that I am seeing her. i just woke up to see the spoilers amd hoped to see happy posts about the setlist.. I wonder if she will really add more new songs to the tour and dares to skip some of the vegas favorites...As great it would be, no i don’t think so.. Javito Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 AM (edited) Even July's show in Hyde Park was better than this setlist guys. I never thought I would say this, but after having the setlist for this tour, now I'm glad I attended that show in Hyde Park Only two songs from the new album is quite embarrassing. I can't even believe how extremely LOW some fans are accepting the bar now. Having ONE song not performed since 22 years ago does not make a show "stellar". That addition should be expected and granted, not treated as something "incredible" after 10 years without touring. There should be more than one If You Asked Me To's and not just this one surprise song, let's be honest. In fact is the English setlist where she has included fewer new songs in her career, which is quite shocking and disappointing. Having TLBSEPT replacing PQTME on an ENGLISH show doesn't make up for not singing even one single song she hasn't performed before. After all the talk Celine and Scott and Elise said they've been going through all her discography and that they found "true gems" in her discography. After saying this tour was going to be "spectacular". Please guys, get real. I'm happy there's people who only to have the one song they were expecting, they're fully pleased and satisfied. But some have set the bar too low. At this point, anything she sings pleases some of you. Get real. This is not what a new tour is about. Not with those prices, and definitely not when you've been here for decades waiting for changes and new songs to be performed, tour after tour, year after year, show after show. But they never come. Get real... No Ashes, No FOMO, No Imperfections makes no sense to me... That is weird...And its called Courage world tour!?!? And on top of that did they really spend hours listening to her supposedly back catalogue of songs to end up only adding If you asked me too? Scott Price shouldn't have said that in a previous interview... It got my expectations too high! At least they should reinvent the songs a bit more... Sometimes I put myself in her place and I feel like after 30 years I would love to sing other songs or different versions.Dont get me wrong, Im sure im gonna like the show in November plus her voice seems top shape, but still im a bit disappointed. Envoyé de mon SM-A520W en utilisant Tapatalk Thank you. I too think exactly the same, I always have in mind their comments and this setlist was totally embarrassing. It's more of the same. Exactly the same damn program. 2017 tour was way better than this, I'm glad I attended that one I Love the sisterhood between some fans. Somethings never change... like Celine's show As a fan whose country isn't either in her list for the billionth time, I do empathise with you. Don't worry about the nasty comments, those ****** same bunch of ******** have no empathy at all. Not even in the middle of a forced excitement while watching a livestream of a Celine show. anewdayhascome Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:13 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:13 AM This is a COURAGEOUS tour? The most AMBITIOUS tour ever? The most CREATIVE tour ever? The greatest tour she has EVER delivered? With revisited songs and listening to all albums until 3 am? This is a JOKE. It is literally the same show she has been giving since 2017 with its 2018 and 2019 additions and ONLY IYAMT can be considered as a really surprising element.... What a disappointment. smw Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:16 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:16 AM (edited) I’m loving the videos from the Cleveland concert. She sounds SO good! It’s a super strong setlist for the general public. And I think there’s plenty of juicy goodies for ya hardcore fans too. I agree that there could be just a couple additions and it’d be perfect! I imagine she’ll get more and more into her groove as the tour continues and there will be plenty more surprises coming our way once the album’s been released. Highlights for me are the solo version of The Prayer — she sounds so iconic Celine and it took my breath away by the end. Courage — such a perfect song for this era in her life and she gets better and better with her delivery. Tous les blues — her vocals are just as strong as they were 20 years ago! And of course If You Asked Me To. What a gift!!! Most general audiences will know this classic Celine song AND it’s a huge treat for us. Feels full circle to hear her sing this song again after so long. Edited October 19, 2019 at 07:16 AM by smw 6 Quote

They are just plain and simple FUN! I love these songs too! General audiences don’t necessarily want to hear rare songs from Celine’s past albums. This is a fun way to keep people surprised / engaged / on their toes!! With that said, I do think Celine will someday do a show of rare songs from her past albums. Even if it’s a one night only that’s filmed. 2 Quote

A new day... Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:32 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:32 AM Most of us had high expectations regarding the setlist and that’s all Scott’s fault. Deep down we knew we were going to have the same boring shows but we had hope. Now all our hopes are down, and although I’m glad Celines voice sound better than in Quebec (at what cost?) the show itself is like a huge disappointment. My favorite setlist so far was obviously the 2016 tour where we got amazing never performed French songs. Plus the emotion surrounding Rene’s death. And also the fact that I was 2nd row center stage... It was definitely my favorite show ever. The number of costume changes does not make a show better, the setlist does. 4 Quote

I'm going to get a s*** load over me because - I'm negative- she works hard- she doesn't need to tour- she can never satisfy- it's for the regular fans- etc But you simply cannot deny that this setlist is just lazy. When you have like 20 albums, going through her repetoire till 3 in the morning, rehearse for months. And simply just come up with an updated Vegas show you simply show no creativity whatsoever. Even the mini tours from 2016 and 2017 showed more creative decisions than this setlist, and even those tours had the biggest hits. She is releasing 20!! new songs in 4 weeks, if they have the audacity to just add 2-3 new songs from that album they can better rename this tour from 'Courage' into 'Failure - a decade of the same songs' What do I expect then? Well let me explain. Her 5-6 biggest hits. And for the rest, be as creative as you were in 2016/2017 and not give us the same recipe because it worked 2 years ago. I LOVE that she sings IYAMT, I LOVE that she keeps an 'rare' French song in this show. Just liked I LOVED Imagine in London, she thought it worked and now she will sing it for the next 3 years. Be bold, do a different Encore each night. It's not that difficult. She is a singing library she can pull of anything right at that moment. Use that. And now you can all block me, hate me, find me negative. But at least I'm very realistic. 12 Quote

ryba Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:56 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:56 AM (edited) I'm glad there's an encore, but I had hoped it would be something other than Imagine.they are lazy and uncreative beyond words. Just because Imagine worked well in London (obviously!), it’s not a reason to perform it now on her new world tour for the next 2 years... also, ALL the covers in the show should be dropped and replaced with her own original songs. This tour needs a totally new tracklist. I think that the 2017 tour was definitely the best I’ve experienced as a fan. This, however, is a total disappointment, and it always happens when she wants to cater to what she thinks the expectations of the general public are. Just forget about general expectations for once and get creative with your very own catalogue! This is not the „Celine Dion Covers Other Singers Tour“. We gad that problem from 2011 to 2014 in Vegas where she just went for covers, then it FINALLY ended, and now she repeats the same mistake. No person on earth will come home from her concert saying „damn, I went to see Celine and her cover of Lady Marmolade was breathtaking“... it’s just a very sad situation. They should include the Hyde Park show as the first ever Courage show in the tour. In all honestly, I always thought Hyde Park would be like a testing for this tour, and now I see I wasn't very far from the truth Right?! It's a never-ending cycle. No matter what move her team makes, the "but wait I wanna complain about..." comments follow. Where the drama stems from is when those very few precious slots are filled with covers vs rarities from her past albums. So... don't sell this tour as something you've "never done before" and big "spectacular" when it's simply not... Easy as that It's the same Vegas setlist with a tiny tweaking with the excuse she's releasing a new English album (and yet we get 2 new songs performed, 3 at most counting with FOMO if it comes back). It's the same Vegas setlist with a new medley... of covers. Again. So the best news we can always expect when it comes to songs are... new covers to be included. Great It's the same Vegas setlist + 2018 tour with You Are The Voice Here. Great. I'm dazzled with the "new" factor here. And it's even the same production as always: a screen behind playing visuals + the same orchestra members. Nothing she hasn't done 1247 times before. Not even a bunch of dancers, not even a sad decoration or an element to tell a story around about her career and link the songs... nada. Oh yes, the flying drones! That must be what they were thinking about when saying something "never done before" and "spectacular". The flying drones. Amazing Don't preach yourself and members of your team that you're revisiting all your albums and discography as if they're including lots of old, never before performed songs, creating anticipation and excitement in the hardcore fans... only to find it's the Vegas setlist plus recycling songs from past tours. That's not a tour for a new album, this is more a "greatest hits" tour. Again. Same as what she's been doing like 20 years ago? Don't sell things when you're not offering what you say, is that simple. She and her team had better said "we're gonna sing the songs all the public has always wanted to hear", and fans wouldn't create anticipation and expectations in vain.
