I have just reported mgeryck on the grounds of homophobia (Post #8808, Page 294). Attributing female characteristics to individuals who identify as men is a sign of homophobia. It is also a sign of misogyny, as mgreyck clearly considers female behavior (what he calls 'sisterhood') to be condescending, inferior. Hence, the word was used as an insult.

 

Please report as well. Such attitudes should not be tolerated in 2019. It is pathetic that we even have to read such s*** in a music forum.

Imagine her performing a "party medley" of her own song with great remixes such as Misled, TLYM and Ashes.... and adding FOMO onto that.

 

Why? Because it's her first single in the US, with a video and actually a little chart action. That's why. It's not a bore, but if it is they can mix it up for the tour.

I don't understand why. It's not a stage song at all. It has no melody. It's awkward. It would be a bore in a show. If anything, bring back FOMO to the medley (and I'm not much of a fan of that one but it's odd to not include more new material). Or at least include Ashes, since that seems to be a recent favourite.

 

I'm genuinely surprised she didn't add anything else from Courage. Is she really waiting until after Nov 15th? And, what songs will get axed at that point?

I'd be fine with that if she'd promoted it as such "Celine - the cover tour" and not call it something new, not promoting a new album with it, not saying there will be new stuff etc..

ANDHC was a great song and did good in the charts so I don’t know why she ignores it... and yes I’m not crazy about all these cover songs..use that time to do a little medley as stated above and do a little cover medley later if you want too.. but nothing I can do about it haha

I was genuinely so shocked by this song i couldn't stop shaking lol.

 

I liked the prayer as solo. Her voice really shined. Same gorgeous backdrop as EUS.

 

Missed flying on my own.

 

Her voice sounded SUPERB, better than i expected!! The closed syllable e in "sleep thru the night" in the reason sounded the BEST it ever has...oddly enough she immediately lost her place in the song and dodged the second one but the clarity on that note really surprised me - no strain. More ease. She sounded phenomenal tonight.

 

The crowd was on fire. She loved us. Almost everyone stood up the entire time. Ready for columbus sunday!

How phenomenal that she resurrected If You Asked Me To after so many years! That was a huge hope I had! Yay!

 

I assume there will be many more surprises along the way as the tour continues.

So it seems if you're willing to risk waiting until the last minute, deals are there to be had. (See also my prior link to $20 tickets for Tuesday).

 

And also, the great thing about these last minute deals is people who wouldn't normally fork over big money and wouldn't ordinarily go, make an impulse decision and end up as Celine converts.

 

I've seen quite a few comments to that end on social media. The "not a fan until I randomly saw her live tonight and she killed it" and the like. And that's pretty damn cool.

I actually really like the cover medley.

Just think, if lady marmalade or kiss were replaced i think IDAN would be a good fit. And it's also a cover of course!!!

 

it being the last thing before mhwgo is off to me, I'll admit. I think if FOMO is added in and placed after the cover medley it would be nice. Maybe even move lcmm after cover medley (though the mid show placement is interesting) and perhaps welcomed by some.

well, not necessarily. I would prefer to hear more songs of hers, but the medley is one of the highlights, imo. so much fun, and the audience eats it up.

I believe I would definitely be happier with the setlist if she performed FOMO in full and Imperfections. It makes sense with the name of the tour and would give a little something extra to the fans. But... You know... It won't happen and we're left with a setlist gathering Vegas + Hyde Park.
