Ok so!!! y’all this setlist is soooo GOOD! It’s so good, and she sounds amazing. I’m so glad she pulled IYAMT back out, like dang that was so good!!! I can’t wait to hear it more and I’m praying to God it sticks around because like I need to hear it!!!

 

Also, can we not agree that new intro to TTWII at the beginning was so good?!

 

It’s a setlist with the hits and a few obscure songs the average fan wouldn’t know. I really really love this show.

 

Now I need the album out and I will be so happy!!! :heart:

Considering i myself am not seeing this show for like 2 months and many arent seeing it till like next year, dont fret, im sure it will have changed, shifted and moved around by the time it gets to you

Imagine was so bittersweet knowing it was the last song of the show, and being a nice one, but I had hoped for something else leaving Imagine special for Hyde Park.

 

Some highlights were TTWII, IYAMT, TLBSEPT, a solo version of a duet and TR.

 

Big minus for her three (three!!) latest "successes" not being included (Ashes, Imperfections, FOMO). They should had been the backbone of a concert from the Courage tour, but they are nowhere to be seen. The cover medley and YTV being in and those three being out is really really weird.

No Ashes, No FOMO, No Imperfections makes no sense to me... That is weird...And its called Courage world tour!?!? And on top of that did they really spend hours listening to her supposedly back catalogue of songs to end up only adding If you asked me too? Scott Price shouldn't have said that in a previous interview... It got my expectations too high! At least they should reinvent the songs a bit more... Sometimes I put myself in her place and I feel like after 30 years I would love to sing other songs or different versions.

Dont get me wrong, Im sure im gonna like the show in November plus her voice seems top shape, but still im a bit disappointed.

This setlist is a big improvement. And her voice was excellent tonight.

 

Ashes is not a Sony song so it won't make it on this tour! :giggle:

FOMO, even in a medley, should be added (and get rid of ABTD). And Imperfections HAS to be included. Just lip it Celine if it's a problem.

She did surprise me with her first show of 2017 summer tour in Copenhagen.

 

The set list covered most of her albums and she performed some of her 90s performed songs

Much improved set list. But agreed, there simply isn’t room now for covers. YTV boils my piss. I can’t believe she isn’t doing Imperfections which is easy as hell for her to sing, has a great beat and is her supposed single?! I mean wtf? 2 songs from the new album is quite ridiculous. She needs to have faith in her own songs. The medley isn’t as irritating to me but also ending the entire show with a cover makes me a bit sad. I know she often did with CHFIL etc but she could have done something equally as beautiful with her own songs. Also crying inside that PQTME is gone (I know we’ve had it to death but it’s my favourite chanson in the world).

 

Excited to listen to IYAMT etc...now trying to go back to sleep. Nighty noo!

So sad Flying On my Own wasn't done tonight, even a little of it. The only reason I am giving myself for that is she must think she couldn't handle it. Yet if other notes were beyond what we're used to, then I REALLY don't get it. If the tour is to promote the new album, there should be A LOT more of that going on. I love that If you asked me to and The Reason were done tonight, but...more. New. Songs!

True! That setlist was amazing. Saw her in Stockholm some days later.

 

Ahe progressed so well setlistwise then. It's just a sad sad situation she has taken so many steps backwards since.

I don't understand why. It's not a stage song at all. It has no melody. It's awkward. It would be a bore in a show. If anything, bring back FOMO to the medley (and I'm not much of a fan of that one but it's odd to not include more new material). Or at least include Ashes, since that seems to be a recent favourite.

 

I'm genuinely surprised she didn't add anything else from Courage. Is she really waiting until after Nov 15th? And, what songs will get axed at that point?

Our girl has trauma from singing FOMO live. I don't blame her

but hey, it was her first show in the US, she should have sang Imperfactions

that happens to be one of the new singles. :hmm: If this one was written by Sia

she would sing it twice in the show... ;)

 

Someone that is going to be in front row please take a paper

or something and remind her she recorded this song.

 

Imperfections as an opener or even as an encore could be so great.

 

2 new songs? is this for real? it's not fair for the people who paid so much money.

I hope they never ever go out with a Tour before there is an album. It's wrong.

 

I love, love, love this medley, she just love to sing and dance to those songs

people will have to learn to live with it :clap:

 

I hope she will keep bringing some more surprises, TP was heavenly. TR

just took my bearth away. I love that she kept one full french song,

but I'm not sure it fit for the audience there.

 

The show could end better with an uptemo song that sang by Celine Dion

and not making all to fall asleep with "Imagine" :wacko: .

(Imagine, Imperfections as the closer of the show) :-D

 

Her voice was even better than in the last show. :wub:

Why? Because it's her first single in the US, with a video and actually a little chart action. That's why. It's not a bore, but if it is they can mix it up for the tour. :D Edited by Xpresso

I wonder "If You Asked Me To" will be dropped in EU as it's not a hit in the continent.

 

Maybe the song will reappear in Asia/ Australia/ Africa / South America

And something must have happened with Ashes... she promoted the tour with it both on the LA Event and Jimmy Kimmel.

 

Did someone say somthing like this:

"Céline you really need to cut the speach leading on to Ashes"

- "Why??"

- "Coz it's too long"

- "You know I love to sing but I love to talk too, eh"

- "I wont cut it down"

I'd be fine with that if she'd promoted it as such "Celine - the cover tour" and not call it something new, not promoting a new album with it, not saying there will be new stuff etc..

 

 

 

I mean, I wish she did an ALL covers tour.
