Not that she’s obliged to, but I’m a little surprised Céline hasn’t posted anything about Turkey & Syria. She normally does in such circumstances. (Especially given Rene’s Syrian roots.)

Random question but does anyone know how Taylor (from the AND LILV dvd) is doing? the guy in the wheelchair who meets Celine before the show. I would love to know how he is health wise. he was so sweet. long shot asking but he could have family here on the forum

Now as I watched this video again after a very long time, I realized that this music video is 100% green screen. I bet Celine was only standing in front a green wall and everything else, even the people walking behind her, were digitally added.

 

I wonder if she shot this video and the video for Live on the same day, since Live appears like green screen as well.

You know, for years I was always told this performance wasn’t great and the comments underneath it would lead you to believe that. However after just listening to this just now, the vocal here is absolutely stellar. You can hear slight wavering in her voice and some imperfections but the fact it was sung in the same way and the same key as the studio version from 15 years prior is absolutely insane, and she does a great job. I wish I could sound 1/100th as good as this on my best day.

This is an incredibly difficult song to sing, and people were judging her based on her 90s performances of that song. But that was a decade later, and she delivered so well. She still sounded much better than all the young popstars today who could not even get through half of this song. I wonder how much preparation time she had to put into that performance. Hey guys, I know this is totally random, but since Celine's birthday is later this month & all:

 

Since "Courage" will most likely be Celine's very last album of TOTALLY NEW songs that she has released, we should try to make one of the songs off that albums go #1 somehow, like when Mariah Carey & her fans did that with her dang overplayed Christmas song a few years back lol (sorry I have nothing against Mariah, & I used to love "All I want for Christmas is you", but that song has been played to death in recent years in my opinion! Moving on...)

 

But I remember Mariah's fans making that song #1 on the charts again, & I think we should all try that for Celine with one of the "Courage" album songs! So what do you think? Please let me know & hopefully it will happen, please spread this around to all of your friends, family, & other Celine fans on social media. Thanks so much!

That and she was, as it turns out, sick here. So imagine what it could have sounded like if she was at her best.

I remember back then we thought it wasn't a great performance at all.

Think we had the 90s performance in mind. But now these days, like you said. I don't think she would be able now to perform it like that.

 

She was sick at that time like some said, and this performance was recorded late in the evening if I can remember correctly.

She had a crazy promotion time in Paris, also the first with RC.

What the holy fruck!? There is nothing out there that has said that Celine will never release an album again. Have you talked with her doctors? Claudette? Garou? Not every goddamn post has to be a diarrheal blend of your streams of consciousness.

I dont think that she is sick here.

If im not wrong i remember back then that Celine went for just few days in Paris and she had to do many shows (Star Academy, 500 Choristes and more) singing live in most of them and giving long interviews (i think promoting he French best of album) so she is very tired here and vocally of course. I dont remember if that is something tha SHE said back then or it was the general impression that many commented.
