Celine will appear in the first official authorised movie about John Farnham:

 

She appears at 0:26 for about a second but it looks like it was likely filmed within the last year

Love that! Especially after she's poked fun at in the Aline film, its good to hear her real experience around Rene and Celine was always more graceful.

One of the greatest singers ever, Céline Dion won the contest back in 1988 and leads Disc 3, which also includes ‘What’s Another Year’ and ‘Hold Me Now’ from Johnny Logan, plus Nicole’s well-loved ‘A Little Peace’. Next are Pop classics from Bobbysocks, Sandra Kim, and Izhar Cohen & Alpha-Beta which all claimed victory, alongside firm favourites from Baccara, Bardo, Sonia, Scott Fitzgerald, and Michael Ball before 3 ‘90s winners for Ireland, Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh, and Paul Harrington & Charlie Mcgettigan.

 

The earlier years of the contest are celebrated on Disc 4 with the classic ‘Congratulations’ by Cliff Richard leading the track-list. Sandie Shaw’s ‘Puppet On A String’ and Dana’s ‘All Kinds Of Everything’ were huge hits and contest winners – and are followed by four ‘70s timeless ballads from Gigliola Cinquetti, Anne-Marie David, Marie Myriam and Séverine … which lead into a run of Pop perfection, including unforgettable tunes from Massiel, Teach In, Lulu, and Mouth & MacNeal’s ‘I See A Star’. Established acts that represented the UK in the ’70s include Olivia Newton-John, The Shadows and The New Seekers – all featured... and this incredible collection draws to a close with Domenico Modugno’s ‘Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu’, which would become a huge hit, often better known as ‘Volare’, and finishing with ‘Refrain’ from Lys Assia - the first ever winner from 1956.

It's just about the new song. He gives the context of Céline having to cancel her shows one after another since 2020 (that's what most of the recordings are about).

God, I hate living in the modern era of AI, fake news, and declining journalistic authority. It has been so weird to see Celine of all people become a fixture for these crazies.

First of all, wow, AI is an amazing thing man, quite a talent.

 

Secondly, this is OUTRAGEOUS, all these accounts making these hoax about Celine's death, it's getting just worse. Who in the right mind and human heart would fake a person's death who is known by billions of people around the world?

To be clear, what I shared is not AI, it's a recorded video, but I was speaking generally. Who would have ever thought as fans we'd have to put up with so much fake news and death hoaxes about Celine?

Have you heard Kellys new song? I must say I love it! I whish Celine could record something like this. The beat reminds me of "Best of all" form Courage, but "Mine" ist just on a totally different level. It's an amazing song. Celine definitely needs better material. It's a shame she is using her talent for filler material.

Kelly is around the age the Celine was when Taking Chances was recorded/released.

 

I like the chorus of the song, not blown away by the song, but she does sound good. And the production seems very well-done.

the sound is crystal clear, especially the vocals. You don’t hear saliva or tongue in mouth sounds like you do in recent Celine songs. I don’t understand why Celines team thinks that it is appropriate to released that. It’s neither edgy nor authentic, it’s actually awful and totally unesthetic. Edited by ryba

I think they want a more forward vocals for Céline now unlike before or the standard style blending with the bg instrumentals.

 

Because in the Taking Chances song her vocals is blending with the instrumentals not a forward style like we are hearing since 2012

Yes, but the initial approach was much better IMO. The forward sound doesn’t fit her and I don’t enjoy listening to it. I prefer the polished vocals that blend with the music. It’s her signature sound. Edited by ryba

Her twitter account is pretty dead anyway. The tweets don't get a lot of likes.

Who knows at this point. He changes what things mean, who gets them, who has to pay for them, who’s labeled as what seemingly every hour. Elon’s Twitter has become a useless cesspool, which is a pity because it was once a rather practical tool.

TeamCeline always with the wrong moves… At this point, having a blue or gold check is an embarrassment. It’s like they go out of their way to make Celine unpopular.

I'm not sure but I've reading that organizations such as Sony pay the hefty fee and then affiliate It's artists, so it's not completely up to the artists

Hopefully it's like that cause she should be verified but shouldn't have to pay for it. Much less pay $1000.

Also in the aftermath I had a list that showed only Céline related tweets from verified accounts and now it's absolutely dead :cry:
