So many gems in this record: Encore Un Soir, Si C'etait a Refaire, A La Plus Haute Branche, Tu Sauras, L'etoile, Ma Faille :wub:

I’ve been listening to this album over the past week. It really is one of her best albums.

 

In addition to the songs you mentioned, « Toutes ces choses » is so beautiful to my ears. Every syllable of her vocal delivery is so dramatic yet understated. I know I said it recently, but I was surprised Courage didn’t really have that quality. Even the title track doesn’t match the level of vocal skill on EUS, and they were recorded only a few years apart. But both albums showcased her maturity and, in general, better song writing than the previous albums.

Exactly! The tones she uses in these two songs is incredible. Even Young Céline couldn’t match the emotion in her voice at this time. Like a fine wine, she was aged to perfection on this album.

the sound is crystal clear, especially the vocals. You don’t hear saliva or tongue in mouth sounds like you do in recent Celine songs. I don’t understand why Celines team thinks that it is appropriate to released that. It’s neither edgy nor authentic, it’s actually awful and totally unesthetic.

 

Yes, Celine's pronunciation has gone through a rough period...for a while now. But I was just discussing the song itself that was shared by Kelly Clarkson. I don't think that material that was shared was show-stopping. Good though.

I am listening to the "A New Day...Live in Las Vegas" album (2005) and I cannot believe how downright BAD it is! First and foremost the random set-list filled with covers! You get a Celine album and instead of listening to her original material you get her takes on "At Last", "Fever", "I Wish", "I've got the world on a string","What a wonderful world" 🥴! Where are the original songs? Where is "A New Day Has Come" that this show was named after? 😅 Also, "To Love You More", "The Power Of Love", "I Surrender" would have made excellent additions. I cannot believe they included all these random covers, I can see Rene's name written all over this. A couple years later he said "A Song For You" was the gem of TC, and then insisted on covers for LMBTL. I swear he was losing his touch since 2003 or so. Needless to say her voice sounds dry and tired on the record. No wonder nobody bought this album, struggled to sell 1.5m globally 😆 They got it so much better with the 2007 release - sigh of relief! I mean, the only thing I liked about this live album are the two new STUDIO tracks and that says it all. 😅

I never liked this album. So many days to record and they choose a bad vocaly day!

The only country that went no1 was Greece. Hm

A New Day… Live in Las Vegas CD (2004) is her best quality of a Live Recording. It’s so clear it kinda resembles the quality of Olympia (1994) Live. Then, fast forward to TCWT CD (2010), It’s so bad! It doesn’t sound clear like it has limits kinda sound muffled.

 

If I were to pick the best sounding Live CD in 00’s-recent. I’ll pick A New Day… even if her voice is not that great but it’s the most natural and clearest sounding ever. Compared to her latest Live CDs.

It's a good album anyway, I really like IDAN, MHWGO and WaWW - so tender and emotional for the finale of the show😍 I think TC tried to find a balance between fans and other audience - new songs, Celine's most famous hits and world classics.. A new day was not performed in that period, and adding Power of Love and To love you more with old pre-recorded vocals used in several Live CDs is dangerous🧐 someone would obviously notice this😜 I surrender should have been, I completely agree😊

I cannot stand James Corden so that would be a huge NO from me.

 

I've never been a fan of his either. I'm glad his show is ending.

 

I do like Celine's Carpool Karaoke but I wish she had a different look / was styled differently for it. I'm glad it was a big success.

Yeah, I really liked Ellen back in the day. But she changed a lot as her show continued. It should've ended sooner than it did.

Recently I've seen Drew Barrymore's talk show gain momentum. I'd like to see her on Drew's show as well as Kelly Clarkson's talk show.
