It’s really cool that this unreleased footage of Goodbyes leaked. I consider the official video for this song one of her very best, if not the best music video she has ever released. And she looks absolutely stunning. IMO It’s the best look she ever had.

 

I don’t know if it’s one of her best music videos but I agree it’s THE BEST she’s ever looked!

 

I think TTWII, TC, IACBTMN, Ashes, ANDHC, HYEBIL ( not the look) and IWCT, Immortality…. are all better videos.

She was beautiful in that video… and then not too long later she totally changed her look.

It's from a Kanye West lyric (the song is Dark Fantasy, though the actual lyric is "look like a fat booty Céline Dion')

I will always be intrigued by the fact rappers seem to really like Celine lol. Or at least like using her name in their lyrics.

I would love to know how Celine is doing. 6 weeks until LA is released. How is her treatment going? Is she excited for the film to come out?

 

If the September shows don’t happen when do you think it will be announced?

Maybe it’s about time we adopt the mantra, “Let’s wait and see…” instead of speculating things that we could possibly never know until Céline herself makes it known. Ya know? With her health situation being so touch and go, she may not even know herself. So what do we have to gain by guessing? Zilch.

Especially bizarre since the LTAL 25th anniversary was in 2022, and the only reason TC would have had to keep it going in 2023 was to acknowledge/piggyback off Titanic’s re-release— which they did NOT do. The new MHWGO video was posted well over 3 months after the Titanic promo machine began, and about a month after it ended. When you stop and think how many millions (or tens of millions) of views her channel lost because of the delay, it just looks like an afterthought. Even if the idea was to bridge the time between Titanic and Love Again, they failed to jump on board when there was actual momentum.

 

I absolutely love the new version of the video, but I’d also love to know why the “Titanic + MHWGO” marketing recipe —which had unprecedented success in 1997-98—wasn’t followed this time around. The song will always be associated with the film, and their tandem promotion could have boosted each other… once more!

Random thought:

 

Did you guys notice the marketing strategy behind Miley Cyrus music? Insted of an TV album special, she performs her new songs live in her so called "backyard sessions", which is pretty cool. Maybe something Celine could think about in order to offer a more edgy/enhanced version of her songs in addition to the regular album versions.

I wonder if Celine is able to listen to music during this time in her life. Music really boosts the spirits, she would know better than anyone, but it would be so heartbreaking if she had a sensitivity to sound that prevented her from playing songs that she likes.
