I think we have to differ between personal taste and general flops.

I wouldn't count Miracle as a real album, because it's a Concept album. And you can't compare her early 80s albums (in Quebec) to her current album/Sony albums. So I would exclude them.

 

English: Courage 2019

French: D'elles 2007

 

both were big flops

Which is the most? I mean I guess D'elles at least Courage got its hype from the media a little.

Which is the most? I mean I guess D'elles at least Courage got its hype from the media a little.

I think so too, also on streaming platforms courage is way ahead with views than d'elles

By the way do you have a favourite performance of "tous les blues"? I have been meaning to find her best versions of the big note she started doing.

I could probably think of more but these are the first ones that come to mind.

I think the biggest flops from 1990 until now were D'elles in french and courage in english. Not because the albums were not good or not loved by the audience but because of bad promotion. Both times they didn't much to hype the general puplic before the album was released, so no one knew about it exept the fans who really follow her when it was released

 

D’elles was promoted quite a bit more than Courage…

The best is yet to come...

According to this, Celine earned 100 million dollars for the first 3 years of the AND show. That was quite a bad deal, wasn't it? I mean, for 3 years! That's a little over 33 millions a year. She makes much more now with mini tours that last one or two months. Back then she was performing 5 days a week for a full year! I wonder if she regrets that when she looks back.

Not really... 10+ years of inflation, as well as the fact that even if she grosses $50 million on a tour, you’re lucky if she’ll make $10 million for those 3 months of touring. Counting those years and years of inflation as well as general growth in her touring demand (as is the case with all artists), it’s not that bad really

 

Edit: In fact, $33 million circa 2003 is now equal to around $50 million, and as far as I know she doesn’t make $50 million a year even with a summer tour and a years worth of Vegas shows combined

Unfortunately when she does her really big tours and stints in Vegas I don't bother watching all the videos because there are so many, a lot are bad quality, and also she sings mostly the same every night. But that also means there are probably so many great moments and notes that I don't know about.

Net worth is very different than a summation of all past earnings. Celine spends a lot of money.

 

More on couture/shoes. I’m really curious with the amount of designer bags/outfits she bought since 90’s. I mean, she only wear it like only for the show or new tour then after that she will not wear it again.

 

Does she really buy it or rent it?

I submitted 3 topics past three months non of them got approved. Who is the administrator by the way?

I also recently submitted one. The mods are very infrequently logging on, I'm pretty sure. I think they need to put out a call for new moderators.

 

I wonder if all fan forums are slowing down since it is the 2020s.

I'm starting to think EUS is on some "approved repertoire" list for Rhythmic Gymnastics ball routines!

Bumping this up since as of this past weekend, Linoy Ashram is the Olympic Champion.

So how many total routines have there been in this year's Olympics done to a Celine song?

 

A rider from Canada did her dressage routine to I'm Alive, this Japanese girl makes 2, and I think there's a third.

I got word from a Celine fan account that they have a few rare Celine moments on video that they're excited to share soon! So if anyone out there is having a bad day or week, I hope that cheers them up :) I'll share when I know more.

Apparently Andre Angelil, brother of René has passed away.

 

His grand daughter posted a picture on social media.

As you maybe know, Barbara Streisand released her new album with previously unreleased tracks called Release me 2. She is almost 80 now and probably she wants to get everything out there and make money for her family as long as she still can. There are songs on there from the 70s. Probably Celine will do the same thing. I'm afraid that most of us might no longer be interested in the Spector tracks or the Spanish version of HYEBIL at the age of 60 or more lol Edited by ryba

I doubt Barbra has morbid thoughts on her own passing. She has more money than she could ever want and a very small family. She is just prolific and has always had a large artistic output. She loves to work and to release work.

 

The money is going to be made regardless no matter when it is released. The main differences is taxes and contracts/rights with the estate and recording companies.
