I wish that Celine would go viral more frequently with things that showcase her talent and kindness vs her eccentricities. Recently, she had a couple of very popular moments on Instagram -- but they were both kind of poking fun at her. One was her impersonation of Cher (but she really sounded like Shakira) and the other was when she was goofy dancing at the Lady Gaga concert in Vegas.

 

I think a lot of people love Celine for being over-the-top and how she's fearless / proud to show her goofy side. But it also feels like a whole lot of people also just think she's a weirdo, when in actuality they haven't really done their homework to discover who she really is and what she's achieved. For me, it kind of feeds into that bully mentality that we (as a society) can buy into.

 

It would be very refreshing / a nice change of pace if something like this video, that showcases Celine's abilities to sing in so many languages, went viral. Instead of yet another video of Celine's goofy side.

I just wish there could be more of a balance... because it seems like, based on what I see out there in the mainstream, Celine is made fun of more frequently than she's revered as one of the greatest singers of all time. I guess it's just human nature to buy into the bully mentality sometimes. I just don't understand why so many people praise / rally behind shady divas instead revering the kind-hearted ones?

 

With all of that said, I do think there are a lot of people out there who admire / respect Celine for being so talented, kind, funny, goofy, and humble.... they're just not speaking up very much in the world of social media so they're drastically overshadowed by those who make of Celine. And I adore Celine's goofiness and do not want her to change... I just want people to understand all sides of her.

Sorry didn’t know where to post this. Has there been a y news of the London o2 shows being postponed in April? I have tickets and will be surprised if the shows go ahead.

Hi this song is about domestic violence. So the woman doesnt say or tell anyone that someone hurt her.she prefers to say that she got hurt at Macy's on the stairs

Okay, you've made sense of it for me! Thanks! Guess I've just been dumb all this time :P

 

I still think there is a better lyric to convey what she could have blamed, but it does make sense after all now that you've said that.

First concerts in France would be around end of March. The band Indochine in Paris and the band IAM in Marseille. No Céline Dion apparently.

At the Victoires de la Musique, they showed a very short video of Céline from the Courage tour and they announced she would be on stage in 2021. Well, let's see.

I find it really odd that concerts in Paris and London in the coming weeks have not been postponed yet. With indoor arena shows sold out and social distancing impossible, they won’t be going ahead.

I think they're waiting for official government announcements. Most countries still haven't officially banned live concerts for March.

I expect they'll do so in the coming days and we'll get news soon after.

I vaguely remember this too — perhaps a little insecurity on Angela’s part since they both sang BATB, and this new gal Celine Dion has one of the greatest voices of all time.

So because of the Phil Spector news, I recently listend to Falling Into You in full again after a very very long time and I must say that I really appreciated the concept of that album. They focused very much on grand songs with a big orchestral production. This album really is a treasure, and for her next album, I wish that she would follow that concept again. I would like her to produce songs like Play me like a love song; grand, majestic, perfectly arranged with a big orchestral production. I don’t want her to do cheesy pop songs and try to be current, but rather big and iconic. That would be my big wish for her next English release. (And btw: that Dianne Warren Superwoman direction is definitely the way to go, regardless of the message of the song. That one is everything else but special, it’s mediocre at best). Edited by ryba

I am quite confused why she chose to sing the theme song from Bicentennial Man.....so soon after MHWGO, after she already didn't want to do MHWGO in part because she had already had done movie soundtracks before that she thought she couldn't top.
